Bio

I have been actively roleplaying for around 18 years now, since age 15. Which, as you might have guessed, makes me 33. I've done most of my rping on forums, averaging 2 to 4 paragraphs. Though I also LARP, and have played D&D for about 17 years. Real life has become a larger part of my life though, so my activity has lessened. Even so, I don't think I'll ever stop rping. :)

Ansel did listen to what Taunie had to say, though his main focus was on something else. The large burger looked delicious. And he was a bit annoyed that hers had arrived first, even though that was to be expected. He couldn't wait to be able to eat as well. Valier had taken the seat beside him, and was eyeing the delicious looking food all the same. The both of them had lived on fish, nuts and berries for a few days now after all.

Once she was done Ansel scratched his head, not being too sure what to think of it all. Though one thing did surprise him. That not only him, but the two other dragon slayers were also looking for their dragons. "Wait...so let me get this straight." He started, turning to face her a little bit more. "You already know I'm looking for my dragon, and what's more the other two over there are also looking for theirs? Sounds suspicious...why would so many dragons disappear at once..." The man trailed off into his thoughts for a little bit. Though he quickly snapped out of it when he heard the sound of a plate being put on the counter next to him. "Ah well that's something for later! Time to eat!" He spoke with a grin. First the man cut off a smaller part of his food, handing that to Valier next to him. He couldn't let his closest friend go hungry after all. But then he greedily dug in, taking bites as large as would fit into his mouth. "Mmmhh! I missed stuff like this! Nothing better than a proper meal!" "Ahw ftiww pmfer fsshh!" (I still prefer fish!) Valier commented, though his mouth was too full to talk properly.

In a matter of minutes the burger quickly disappeared, making it seem like Ansel was inhaling his food rather than eating it. And once he was done he reached for the tankard of beer, gulping down about half of it, and finally sighing in satisfaction. "Ahh, that was great. Time for dessert!" He exclaimed, getting the attention of the white haired lady behind the counter and making another order. "I'd like a plate of...uh...something with meat and potatoes!" He decided, being quite the fan of meat just like the other two dragon slayers. "And a fish!" Valier added, deciding that he really did prefer the taste of fish over a burger.

As he waited again, the man turned back to Taunie. As there was something else to talk about. "So, as you were saying. Two other dragon slayers also looking for dragons, and even the guild master trying to find stuff out. If I like it here, I might even give being in a guild a try. Searching on my own feels kind of slow anyway." He had been at it for quite a few years now, and still no luck. So maybe the search might go faster with other dragon slayers around. That, and though he wanted to hide it, Taunie's other theory sounded appealing as well. Especially since Taunie implied that all of them were outcasts and misfits. A place where he might fit in without problems.
It was more a thing of 'let's throw in some intimate tension between the two for fun.' :P Plus, I have a feeling nothing would happen between them otherwise. At least certainly not from Alakai's side.
Woa...you're good. I never expected an answer like that from Taunie! xD Definitely a better answer than any scenario I had accounted for.
I plan for the guild hall to only have 2 person beds in their rooms. So...will Kali be okay with that? Or will they take different rooms after all? :P (No need to answer btw, just a thought I had.)
Alakai's face turned bright red when Kali explained to him what June had been doing. "W-what?! No way! Surely she's just the clingy type that likes to tease people!" Even when someone else told him, he still couldn't believe any girl or woman would have a thing for him. Especially someone he'd only just met. "Geez, I don't want you to start teasing me as well..." He added with a sigh, figuring that was what was going on.

Kali quickly changed subjects to going back for a swim again though. And he didn't blame her. That's what they were there for after all. "I'll join you in a little bit. I'm going to properly put out the fire first." There wasn't anything that could burn nearby, but it was still the right thing to do in his opinion. So he threw sand over the fire to put it out, then took the half-burnt wood pieces that were left and threw them into the dunes. Once he was done Alakai also changed into his swim wear again and headed for the water. Though unlike Kali he stayed in the shallows, so he could sit with the water reaching up to his chest.

The rest of the day went pretty much as planned. And even though this was supposed to be a day to relax, both were getting tired once the sun started going down. Kali came to him asking about the possibility of joining a guild. He shrugged, not being sure himself. "I don't know. I think it's at least worth it to stay there for a night, see what guild halls are like in this game-- In this world I mean." Then of course she had to tease him a little more. "H-heh...I doubt she's really that interested in me..." He answered, his cheeks quickly turning red again. "P-plus! If I share a room with you again...erm...well she won't dare do anything right?" The man's question had a slight hint of hope in it. As he did hope she'd sleep in the same room again. Over the week that they had been together, seeing her form in the darkness in the bed beside him had become a bit calming. Plus she was very pretty, and what guy wouldn't want a pretty girl sleeping in his room? Even if it was in a separate bed.

"A-anyway...let's go find Chronos at the stables. If we go now, I'm sure the innkeeper can still provide us with a good meal before we head to the guild hall." It wasn't -that- late yet after all. Probably around 6 pm, though it was hard to tell without a clock.
The guild hall is actually back in the first city they came from; Malystare. So they'll have to ride back first. ^^;; The intention is that the city will be the main hub for the rp as a whole. As in, even though they might be gone for many days on end, maybe even over a week, they'll always eventually come back to Malystare. Though it's also because pretty much everywhere else is governed by kings and nobility and such, made up of mostly npc's. Something that will provide plot in the future. ;)
Finally Ansel could get to what he had come for. As Taunie quickly ushered him towards the bar in the back. There sat a man that could have been mistaken for a dwarf had they existed. A very small body, and quite a moustache as well. Plus his choice of clothes didn't help either. Taunie introduced him, and soon after was gone towards a different second of the bar. Which left Ansel in the awkward position of not having a clue about what to say. It was the small older man that spoke first though.

"As I suspected, ghosts don't exist." At least not in the supernatural sense. "What's your name, boy?" He continued, a slight, but friendly smile on his lips. "Huh? Oh, It's Ansel. Ansel Horazon. A dragon slayer." Luckily the other two dragon slayers were too loud themselves, and far away enough, to not hear what Ansel just said. "A dragon slayer huh? Our guild seems to be attracting them lately. But no matter. I'm Makarov, the guild leader of Fairy Tail. I've heard stories about you coming from the north-west. A wandering dragon slayer, looking for something as he goes." "What about it...?" Ansel asked, feeling a bit defensive about this old man knowing so much about him already. "I was just thinking-" Makarov answered. "-Is that being your life really okay? Sounds quite lonely to me." "Eh, I'm used to it." Ansel spoke with a shrug. "Then you won't even consider joining our guild? We welcome pretty much anyone with open arms. It would get you plenty of income. Plus the guild's resources in aiding what you're searching for. We even have living quarters that you can rent." Ansel sighed, moving his left arm up to rub the back of his neck. "Sounds pretty troublesome...plus it's like it's never quiet here." "Trust me, they grow on you." Makarov replied. Ansel then shrugged, figuring he wasn't going anywhere fast in the next day or two anyway. So he had a suggestion on what to do.

"Well, I haven't had a good night's rest in a while, so I could at least use a place to stay for two days..." Makarov grinned. It was a start at least. He himself had planned to offer the boy a place to stay for a week, and see what the guild was like. But he wasn't going to force Ansel either. "I can allow you to stay for free for at most a week. Though you're welcome to leave whenever you want of course. And if you do want to join the guild you can come back any time." "Heh, thanks old man. I guess I owe you one." Ansel replied with a grin. "Now and eat. You look like you're hungry." The guild master finished, grinning widely and already thinking of how to get the dragon slayer to join their guild. The more strong members they had, the more famous their guild would become after all. Plus, even if he didn't say so, the boy looked like he could use a place to call home again.

Ansel joined up with Taunie again, sighing in slight annoyance and confusion. "Even your guild master's trying to convince me to join the guild. What's up with that? What's so important about me joining your guild?" He asked, wondering if Taunie could give him any insight. At the same time his eyes scanned over the menu hanging from the wall behind the bar before lingering on on Taunie was eating. "I'll have what she's having." He spoke plainly, not having been taught much in terms of manners. The white-haired woman behind the bar didn't seem to mind though, and replied with a "Coming right up~" before heading through the door leading to the kitchen to inform the cook.
Everyone finished their food, but it seemed that after that it was time to part ways again for the time being. As Josie, now clearly the 'leader' of this little group, spoke up. "Once again I'd like to thank you, both for helping us and for the food. But it's time for us to continue levelling." The other two nodded in agreement. "We're not quite ready for the dungeon yet after all. Our plan was to go tomorrow. And if you two do decide to join us, we have to be high enough level right?" Alakai smiled, giving them a small nod back. "It would be great if we could indeed go tomorrow. The faster we can do the dungeon, the less my levelling plans are messed up." "Ah, though we're going to another area for now...I'd rather not have a repeat of today." Josie added, which Alakai silently agreed with. "Hey, I told you already! I could have taken those monsters!" Joan complained, though an angry glare from both Josie and June quickly shut him up again. "If you want a tip, there's an area with ants just on the other side of the dunes over there." Alakai commented, pointing towards where he meant. "It's boring to grind them, and they swarm like the crabs. But if you pull a few away from the main area each time it's great exp."

Josie smiled, nodding in agreement. "Sounds like it's at least worth checking out. Thanks for the tip. Hopefully we'll see you this evening~" And with that the trio left. It was only when they were completely out of sight that Alakai realised something. "Huh...that's the first time I only felt a little awkward in a group of people..." He mused, being quite surprised about it himself. "Well, apart from June constantly teasing me...that was pretty uncomfortable..." The man wouldn't notice someone flirting with him even if his life depended on it. After all, his self-image was still that of an unattractive, undesirable shut-in gamer. And who would ever be interested in a person like that right? "Well, either way...I think we can decide on whether we'll visit their guild hall once we go back to the city. No need to ponder about it too much."
(I think it would be better to say he smells 'familiar'. :P)

As the door to the guildhall opened, Ansel immediately noticed that the place was quite lively. There were plenty of people about. Talking, having drinks, arguing, and some other things. It looked more like a gathering of friends than just a place wizards went to, to get jobs. And right away one guy came up to them. A white scarf, red hair, a vest, and his fairy tail mark visible on his shoulder. Just like the rumours had said. So right away Ansel figured this guy was Natsu Dragneel.

Before he had the chance to say anything though Taunie was already pushing him towards the back of the building, talking about getting her reward. He had almost forgotten that this woman was actually just doing a job, so of course there would be payment. "No need to push, geez..." The man grumbled as he started walking. Though as he did, now he was the target of a few questions. "I never called myself a spirit. I just let people believe what they wanted." He answered casually. Sure, it had been quite useful for him to keep that rumour going, but still.

Before he could even ask about what Natsu's statement was about though, Taunie intervened again. Ansel sighed, shrugging a little. "We can probably talk all we want once I met this guild master of yours. I was planning on staying a day or two anyway." It was only then that Valier finally made his presence known. "Stop ignoring me you red-haired bastard!" The cat exclaimed, kicking Natsu in the shin. Though it didn't really hurt of course. The boy looked down, surprise in his eyes as he saw whom had kicked him. "What?! Another cat? You mean Happy isn't the only one?!" "That Valier. My friend, and yes, a cat. You mean you know one too?" Ansel replied, picking up Valier and putting him on his shoulders.
I wish I could write in such a descriptive manner. But my mind is too 'direct' you could say, even in real life. ^^;;

And thanks for the heads up at least. ;)
