I'm definitely one of those people who never changes their avatar or signature and I'm 100% ok with that.

Bio

I'm not sure what I did to lure you here but I do apologize and I also would like to welcome you to my page. Now with the pleasantries aside, a bit about me.

I have been role playing for about 3 maybe 4 years now, I love writing and I spend a lot of free time doing just that. I also spend a lot of time that is meant to be for work writing but that's another story. I live in the American midwest (think great lakes region) so that should give you an idea of my timezone. That being said I am often up at many hours of the night, or morning depending on your point of view.

I am indeed a girl and she/her whatever works.

"Ok, I know your vocabulary skills are pretty good and I know you can understand written and spoken pretty well. The problem is I don't think all of you actually understand how the grammar works and you have trouble translating Japanese into English. I've given you a week to prepare for this test, its not very long but it isn't going to be easy." Emma paused as a few audible sighs were let out, she scanned the room one last time before passing out the test.
"The test will ask you to describe the function of nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and verbs. You can explain in Japanese but I will give bonus points to students who use English. You must give examples for each in English, remember you need three examples for the verbs; one for each tense we have learned so far. There is another section where you will translate English and Japanese sentences along with a reading that you will answer questions on. There are instructions in Japanese on the test for any of you who are confused. I hate to have to say this but cheating is a punishable offence, so don't do it, I will know." She handed out the last of her tests and returned to her desk. It was her last class of the day, by some miracle she had convinced the principal to give her the first couple classes which meant that though she had no breaks she got to leave everyday at lunch time. It was more than a bit unnerving to teach the Japanese equivalent of seniors, there was only a one or two year age gap between most of the students. She told them that she was almost 30 and they seemed to believe it. Older students worked out well because she could teach them in English, her Japanese was still pretty limited.

The bell chimed, a few pencils scratched furiously to finish. "Time's up, I will be coming around to collect your tests. Please remain seated until I have collected all the tests." She eyed a couple of her more social students. No homework for the weekend but we will have a quick vocab quiz over this weeks vocabulary. Don't groan, I didn't want to add it to your test. We'll be getting a new grammar unit Monday so make sure you are ready to take notes. Have a good lunch and a wonderful weekend." Emma gathered up her things as the students began to shift around, pull out lunches or money to buy the school made ones. They paid her no notice as she slipped out and left for the day.

She got home before lunch traffic, today was turning out to be pretty lucky but as she entered the apartment that luck became an illusion. Someone had purposely trashed the place, everything but her computer set up had been overturned, broken, or tampered with in some way. There was a note stuck to her main computer screen, 'The truth is a dangerous thing, spread it around and there will be consequences." She swallowed, her lurking in dark net chats and forums was obviously unwelcomed. The underworld of Pokémon was growing rapidly she had been watching it, with a power like Pokémon there would always be people who will seek to corrupt it, use it, for their own gains. The thugs were far from an exception, it was only a matter of time before things spun out of control but they hadn't, a few incidents aside, the knowledge had been kept under lock and key. There were people in the shadows and it looked like they'd had enough of her snooping. Her research had been copied and erased but she had back ups, the loss wasn't the problem. They had her research, every incident, every sighting, pictures, statistics, experiments, inventions, ideas. Assuming they had successfully dodged her wiping programs they had one heavily encrypted mass of information filled with traps and viruses of course but none the less if they knew what they were doing then they would have all the information in a week, two if she was lucky. The peaceful research and observation phase had ended, there was no letting this go. She would have to get it back. Her biggest question was how?
@JoPo@Wisp Both of you are accepted, I'll get to work on the intro post. I'd like one more person to join but I think it would be best to get started rather than waiting around
@King Kindred Accepted! You can add it to the char tab now.

Sorry about the wait, you can start with 6 but I don't think it's a great idea in terms of future character growth. Up to you though.
Super sorry it took so long guys! roleplayerguild.com/topics/86196-pokem..
"Its hard to tell just how many players there are at this point, Nintendo has the data but they aren't sharing much. Vaguely large numbers, hard to imagine its only been a year. Its even harder to figure out who plays and who doesn't. Not everyone has a PKMNG Plus clip, those who do don't always wear them with pride. Everything looks the same, people act the same but there's a growing culture under it all. There's something magical about the game, draws people in, keeps them around. Some people never stop, roamers, people lost in their world. It should have been just a game but it wasn't, it isn't. Its real in the most dangerous way; spontaneous storms, random electrocutions, unexplainable fires. Nobody has died just yet but we continue to push it, ignoring the truth we don't want to see. Pokémon are getting trapped in our world, pulled through by this 'game.' There are only so many we can help. There's no other place where it's clearer than here in Tokyo, the hotbed of PKMNG activity. The oddest part is everyday I ask myself, would I wish the game away? Would I rather it not exist? The answer is always no, hell no. I guess its a good thing because I couldn't change it even if I wanted to."

Basic World Information
This Rp will take place in Tokyo, Japan where the game Pokémon Go is not only highly popular but because of the massive size of the city the density of players is higher than anywhere else in the world. These high levels of activity have led to strange phenomena that have mostly gone unnoticed. These are actually caused by Pokémon entering through rifts in our world, the consequences at this stage are currently unknown. Your player will know this truth, how it changes them is up to you. The Pokémon currently available are Generations 1-3, more may be added. Keep your pokemon below level 15 and only one legendary if you really must have one. If your character needs an exception for any of these rules PM me.

Last but not least, Rules and Truths!
1. Follow the Guild rules obviously
2. Let me know if you are leaving for a while or for good, its cool, I get that life happens
3. I'm bad a making rules
4. The Char cap is currently at 2 characters could change
5. Remember its ok to lose every once and a while, your character can't always win
6. Have fun. Be creative.
I feel like there would be game updates that would release more and more Pokémon, I was planning on only going up to gen 3 but new relases would be a serious plot point because that means there are new species for our heroes and possibly villains to deal with.
Japan is actually incredibly addicted to these things, I've been there, I know that it would at least be extremely popular among high school and college aged people. The work force has a lot less time on their hands so I can't really speak for them, they work almost nonstop.
I updated the OP, let me know what you think. I'll be getting to work on the RP soon.
