I fell asleep early last night so I haven't had a chance to plan the IC post or re-look over the posted CSes and decide who's in, and now I'm off to work. SO you've got roughly six hours from now to get everything done if you still want to be in this RP.

I agree. But since the rebel alliance is something of a guerrilla force there's always going to be a mix of newbies and veterans.

I would say that not everyone's skills will need to be combat oriented. The Rebels need engineers, technicians etc. So long as your character has some aptitude with something and isn't just a hapless moron you'll be fine.

@13sparx13 That CS is a little short, but I understand it's still a rough draft so again I'll wait til the deadline has passed before judging.

@PlantEater Still plenty of time. I'm not going to accept character sheets that I think are sub-par, so after tonight there still might be an opening if we have to start with less than 7 players.

To anyone who expressed interest but hasn't yet posted a CS, I said I wanted to be making my decision on who's in tomorrow night, so here it is:

You have 24 hours to post a CS before I'm closing recruitment!

At some time after 00:00 GMT tomorrow (possibly as late as the morning, depending on how tired I am) I will announce who made the cut and start the IC thread going.

Well, I presume this revolves around the Special Forces then? Them being the only units to recieve any real formal training. Most trained as part of their unit and quite often ended up in combat zones pretty early.

Not quite Special Forces, no, but I'm thinking since the Rebels didn't exactly have a massive number of soldiers compared to the Empire they'd want to train up the ones they do have as much as possible. And yes, they will be training as a unit and then shipping out together fairly quickly. IC I'm thinking their training will only last a few weeks (although depending on how quickly people post, that could take us a month or two to get through).

Well, the Academy part is only the first part of the storyline. The idea is to put the recruits through basic training and follow their story through to ending up on actual battlegrounds. Perhaps if the RP lasts that long you might be more interested when we get to that part. I only chose the title 'Rebel Academy' because it seemed to fit, but I guess 'Rebel Boot Camp' might have been more appropriate.
