Current Binged Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and fell in love. Was skeptical at first since it was by the same people who produced Riverdale but I was not disappointed.

As Catori explained the difficulty of getting through the gate, Mirela remained passive when the more energized girl attempted a go at going in through the brick wall. She acknowledged new faces joining them as they waited for some administrative force to usher them in. What she didn't expect however was that "administrative force" to be a mysterious teenager.
As the teen waved a basket of charm bracelets towards them Mirela took a long look at the fact that she wasn't wearing one yet could pass through with ease.

Mirela brushed it aside, even though something was off about the girl especially since there was no trace of spectral power within her. She reached into a pocket inside her jacket pulling out her silver level SEO license. She places the license back in the pocket while taking a charm bracelet with the other free hand. Mirela kept an eye on the girl holding the basket, judging with caution especially when Sierra starts to converse with her.

She places the charm bracelet above a bracelet that Mirela has had ever since she was little. It was a small black leather string with a rectangular plate tied into the middle along with the Latin phrase - Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat (Fortune favors the bold) inscribed onto it. Mirela whispers the inscription to herself as she awaits with everyone else to pass through the gate.
Thank god for hotel internet

Eliza Nguyen

Waking up at 6:30 and going on a morning run around the city was its own special high. It has been less than 2 weeks since Eliza moved to Suncrest but she has been too busy adjusting to her new life that she was hardly “home”. Home being the apartment space she shared with 4 others. But between the clients, the blog, and her daily exercise routines, it would be a miracle if she used the apartment for anything other than sleeping.

Sweat beads down her forehead and when she reaches the end of her run, Eliza undoes her tied up hair letting the brown curls fall way past her shoulders and down her back. She’s been told that she always smelled like lavender even when working out a sweat and embarrassingly enough she would smell her hair and wrists after every run to find it true. She takes notice of the eyes on her – mostly from men stumbling their way to work. She pretends not to be aware as she pulls out her phone, checking the schedule for the day. It was a Sunday – which meant only one client for the day. So when she receives a text from said client detailing their cancelled work out session Eliza was somewhat thrilled. She walks the short distance back to the apartments, each footstep lighter than the other.

Gleaming with joy about her suddenly free day Eliza practically prances through the door to the apartment. She stops just at the entryway when spotting Vivian, the girl who had originally put up the ad for the apartment hanging around seemingly deep in thought. Eliza hadn’t spoken more than a sentence to anyone since she moved in. At most she acted with formality and small smiles. And with the chaotic schedule she had so far, Eliza was afraid it would be nothing more than those small smiles. So Eliza decides to take this free day as a chance to finally socialize. She walks up to the fridge only to pull out a protein shake and grabs a seat next to Vivian. Eliza remembers that the girl had a work schedule that involved leaving for the night only to return in the morning. And by the time Eliza returned from her morning runs and got ready for work – Vivian was already asleep. So the two hardly ever talked much less see each other around the apartment. But Eliza gives it a go in hopes to at least make a new friend.

“Uh hey Vivian right? I was wondering what kind of fun stuff there is to do here. I unexpectedly have a free day ahead of me.” Eliza gives her a kind smile while taking sips of her shake.
I'll be in the mountains for 3-4 days so latest I'll post will be sometime Thursday unless there's an internet connection where I'm going

Location:Room 8
Eliza took a sharp breath at the announcement of phone calls. The moment she was pulling hairs out was finally came. They had all the time to discuss more about powers so she shuffled those thoughts to the back of her mind, where the pain was now dispersing. Slipping quietly out of the lounge and into her room, Eliza sits on her bed and hesitates whether calling her sister would be worth the time. She held the remote tightly in her hands, it felt icy while the room seemed to grow only colder.
It was silent save for the deep and sharp breaths cutting through her throat and out her nose. At the thought of her sister, Eliza’s mind involuntarily moves to remember what had happened at their father’s funeral.

It was a dark and gloomy Spring day in New York. The clouds above were hiding the sun, looking ready to cry as was Eliza. Her eyes strained not from crying but from trying not to. The ceremony was small, and only in attendance of close family members and the company board. All the more reason not to show any sign of “weakness”. And while the ceremony had already finished, Eliza stood still, not taking her eyes off the headstone that read her father’s name and the patch of newly filled in dirt where he rested six feet under.
It was the sound of her sister’s haughty voice that interrupted the eerie mournful silence.
“The board and I have arranged for your departure from New York. Running away just because you lost isn’t what dad would’ve wanted, but if it’ll get you off my back I’ll make sure California is at the best standard for you.” Elaina’s tone was far from comfort, instead it felt like she was gloating. And Eliza didn’t have to turn around to know that her sister was unhinged by the death of their father. She didn’t bother giving a response since that would give away the fact that there was nothing but hurt and defeat inside.
She felt a cold slender hand on her shoulder.
“If you think I don’t love you, you’re wrong. You’re still my sister and now it’s just us. So when you’re ready to come back…” Elaina couldn’t think of what else to say since “comforting” wasn’t her forte. She wanted to say "don’t" but instead she left her little sister to mourn while she walked towards the car to escape the storm that was about to arrive.

Eliza opens her eyes to see her knuckles white from clutching the remote so tightly. There was a small tug in her mind towards the remote, similar to earlier when she held the pen but this time much less intense. The unwanted flashback made her realize that she was not ready to face her sister and decided to not call anyone, tossing the remote aside. She gave away to the exhaustion and plopped her head on the pillow. In the cold desolated room, she was reminded of how on that day the heavy clouds that held in their tears never let them fall, but on this night she did.
Mirela Zima

April 10th

This was the first time Mirela stepped anywhere outside of the Eastern Hemisphere, mainly Europe. The letter she received days beforehand detailing her new job was held tightly in her hand. The transfer came as a shock since she was just starting out in SEO when they offered her a position operating comfortably around Eastern Europe.
She stared out the bus window as it left the Seattle airport vicinity and towards the city.

Mirela started to feel anxious as the bus zoomed past the buildings. Her heart pounded at what awaited her at the location mentioned in the letter. What more were the people she'd most likely be working with. English wasn't her first language but she's no stranger to it. She actually preferred it since many in Europe spoke it as a 1st or 2nd language. Nevertheless, the words come out like smooth silk for her and to others with the slight Slavic accent that she had made it unique yet pleasant to the ears.

The hopped herself off the bus not too far from her destination. With a black duffle bag slung over her shoulder and the map in hand, she walked around taking in the sites and the spring of the city. She dressed rather casually donning a basic white t-shirt with a light nylon black jacket over it and wore dark jeans decoratively ripped at the knees and Chestnut combat boots.
After a short walk, she spots two women conversing outside what should be the building they were to meet in. Mirela held her chin up and approached the two hoping they were here for the same thing as her. One girl had a chipper tone to her while the other matched the mood of the rain that had occurred earlier.
Upon approaching them Mirela repeatedly ran over what she wanted to say in her mind and once reaching them the words came out chopped and her accent thicker than usual,
"H-hello my name is Mirela Zima. Nice to meet you, maybe ve... head inside now...?" She mentally kicked herself at the stumbling of words. She looked towards the wall between the two apartment buildings and found herself puzzled.
