Good, the man spoke English. Though it seemed he had nothing good to say. He was here to restore balance of some kind, which could mean everything from revenge to intergalactic cop. Heh. Intergalactic. There's a word he never thought he'd be using. Come to think of it... Where did he even learn that word?

He'd have to figure that out later. Right now the man in front of him was still threatening the lives and livelihoods of the citizens in this city, and even though the tone of his voice indicated that this wasn't about revenge, it was still a volatile situation that had to be resolved before his orbs began eating people in their homes, whether he intended them to or not. "Disperse the rest of your spheres and leave, or I'll have to do it for you." Only problem was, he'd have to take out the man himself before going after the spheres, otherwise he could just make more. He ignored the sense of dread building in his bones as he stared across the twenty yard distance between them, and really hoped that instinct was wrong this time.

Going from the picture you posted, David is standing on the near side of the sixth post from the end (on the left side of the room), facing the center of the room, and Meats is about four feet in front of him. Le'Vash started on the other side of Meats from David, but I'm not sure where she's at now, given Bah Rhon's position in the rafters instead of on the floor where DoT thought he was. Big V is behind the pillars on whichever side you started on, having closed the distance by crossing behind either myself or Le'vash. I assume me, because previous posts put you closer to me than Le'Vash.

Sorry 'bout that.

Just to clarify, I had assumed Arky would be speaking Ryllan, since he thought he was addressing one of their representatives and you mentioned earlier that he'd learned their language. That's why I had James be unable to understand him. I just thought I'd throw that out there since James actually does understand Japanese. He's from WWII, a big fan of the know thy enemy philosophy, and after he was reborn his learning capacity went through the roof. So he also knows German, French, and Russian (he likes knowing his allies too).
Dunno... I'm waiting on posts from Melon and Yoshua.

Huh... I just realized that Meats is only 5'5" and 160 pounds... And here I was picturing some huge guy as tall as David and twice as broad. That's gonna... uh, change things a bit.

I kinda feel sorry for the guy. :P

Since I was already about half that distance away, it'd be closer to seven or eight feet, which would be about right for a guy as tall as David jumping backwards in surprise to gain some distance.

But yeah, the head should have hit Meats.

Okay. Since I've got more time on my hands now; Khan, do you want me to roll up any faction-related characters to help move the story along?

This.
Well then tell him what kind of character needs to be there. He can't very well move things along if he doesn't know where they need to be moved to.
That could work. Though that's more of a long term thing. Green's offer was to provide characters to get the RP moving in the short term, which I for one would really appreciate. >_>

Maybe he could write somebody in the Perdo Wastes. A general or something.
Vordak has now become a vibrating weapon.

Oh, the irony. THE IRONY!!!

Anyways, I'm perfectly fine with three factions. The Ryllans are obviously one, the second could be a chaos/anarchist/freedom faction as was suggested before (though the addition of freedom-loving people would make it not inherently bad), and Clockwork Man and Arty could be the third faction. I'm serious about that, btw. They'd be an intermediate between the totalitarianism of the Ryllans and the choatic anarchy of the other faction, knowing that laws are necessary to preserve peace but also that too much restriction leads to bad stuff. Like revolt. And the stagnation of progress.

EDIT: Or there's always Jessibelle. Though her faction sounds remarkably similar to the Ryllans as far as her wanting control over everything. I'm not sure how well we'd do with two of the major factions being near carbon copies of each other ideals-wise.
