Physical Description:Personality Description:More nuts than an entire legion of squirrels. Seriously, this guy is psychotic. Even a brief glimpse at the totality of reality has a tendency to not go so well for the human psyche.
Skills, powers and abilities: Living Anomaly:
Sev, for all intents and purposes, cannot die. He can be cut, shot, stabbed, exploded, electrocuted, partially disintegrated, squished, crushed, mulched, smashed, mashed, melted, blasted, busted, bloated, burned, beheaded, bled out... You get the idea. Point is, his body can be severely messed up by stuff (and thangs), but never completely destroyed, and will regenerate from any damage done (though if reduced to nothing more than his skull, it'll take a while). Small cuts are healed in seconds, gaping wounds in minutes, and an amputated limb can regrow in about an hour. Yay for immortality. He's also pretty much immune to the effects of reality warping, and since his mind does an auto-reset every time it's messed with he's essentially immune to telepathy and psychic powers too (not to mention the sum total of all knowledge being crammed into his brain and making reading his thoughts an extremely risky proposition, most often causing a persistent vegetative state in the mind-reader). This anomalous-ness also tends to bleed out into anything he wears, allowing his armor and any equipment he's wearing at the time to regenerate along with him, though at a much slower rate than himself.
Enhanced Strength:
While his genetic engineering essentially made him peak human, his ability to regenerate allows him to push his muscles and bones harder than even other peak humans would be able to, granting him minor super-human strength.
Enhanced Speed:
Along the same lines as his strength, his engineered brain and nerves can stand up to the wear and tear of faster, more powerful neural impulses and allow him to react and move at low super-human speeds.
Enhanced Endurance/Durability:
Due to his body constantly re-setting itself into the state it was in just prior to his head exploding, he never seems to get tired or require food, water, or air to function. His bones and muscles can also take more punishment before breaking and tearing, though only a small amount more than any other peak human's.
Enhanced Dexterity:
He can shoot, and shoot good. Doesn't really matter what the weapon is, but as long as it shoots something he can use it with a great level of skill. A subset of this ability is that of exceptional accuracy even while dual wielding.
Character Equipment:- Teleporter - An item he obtained in the 31st century after killing a mad scientist for a client. Teleportation within the same dimension is limited to a range of one mile, while teleportation between dimensions seems to be a fluke that happens at random. Activated by a button on Sev's belt. Takes 25 seconds to recharge between uses (5 combat posts).
- Armor - Composed of a space age alloy, the plating of this armor (partially pictured above) is capable of resisting small arms fire almost indefinitely, though will succumb to high-caliber armor-piercing rounds. It also lacks protection for his head and arms, and can be penetrated by bladed weapons between the plates.
- Whack'em'all - Slightly oversized softball bat composed of a material that when struck, redirects the force of any blow directly back at where it came from, making it an excellent defensive weapon as well as a potent offensive one, as each blow becomes twice as powerful as it would normally be.
- Combat Knives - Sev possesses four of these, carried on each calf and in two crossing sheaths at the back of his waist.
Character History:Engineered, rather than born, into the early 22nd century, Sev was (you guessed it) the seventh of his gene sequence and the first to survive the final augmentation procedure. Though survive in this case is a fairly relative term. After being genetically engineered to be as perfect as a human can be, he was stuck in a machine that used (sciencey mumbo-jumbo) to (more sciencey mumbo jumbo) in an attempt to create what amounted to the first true super-humans. Predictably, things didn't go as planned. Instead of doing (even more sciencey mumbo-jumbo), like it was supposed to, the machine created a tear in reality that essentially stuffed Sev's head with the sum total of all knowledge in the universe, and for a brief moment, made him effectively omniscient. The only problem turned out to be the fact that a human brain wasn't made to process that kind of info, and immediately after that moment passed Sev's tiny human brain exploded into itty-bitty little pieces and splattered itself all over the walls (like, literally). Assuming he was dead, the scientists sighed in defeat and ordered the next test subject be prepped as they cleaned and re-calibrated the machine.
Unfortunately for them, a secondary effect of their mistake was the creation of what amounted to a fixed point in reality, that point being Sev himself. His brain re-grew, but his mind was still fractured, bits of universal knowledge scattered randomly throughout along with the pieces of his own life. Understandably, he had a bit of trouble coping with everything he'd experienced over the last few seconds and instinct, training, and muscle memory took over. After killing everyone in the underground facility, he made his way to the surface and for the first time in his life set foot in a place where other normal people lived (New York City). Having no knowledge of what being normal entailed (or rather, having all the knowledge of the universe but being unable to access most of it), he launched himself into a life of mercenary work that still continues even today, over a thousand years later.
Disclaimers: While he ostensibly possesses access to the sum total of all knowledge, Sev cannot use any knowledge he would not otherwise have access to (it may be referenced in character thoughts or narration, but cannot be used to influence the fight). With regards to his regeneration, any wounds that would result in instant death for a peak human will be considered an automatic loss, regardless of his ability to eventually regenerate.
