ASTA said I honesty haven't read any of the CSes for this RP. Though to be frank, I started messing around with electromagnetism after reading up on it. I draw power/ability concepts from real-world technologies and scientific mumbo-jumbo, or I recycle old material from past characters and fictional nations I've utilized in the various CRPS and NRPs I've been in.

Guess that explains how we came up with the same idea. I tend to do the same thing for non-fantasy characters.
Is there a reference there I'm not privy to?
After I get back from Chicago on Wednesday.
Yeah, I'm on my phone and didn't see the exclamation point at first, which would have made that much more obvious.

Yep.Some people are so unoriginal!

I'm not going to fault ASTA for stealing an idea when I don't even know if he's so much as glanced at my CS. It IS possible for two people to have the same idea independently of each other.

In terms of EM manipulation, I was thinking about having the character use them to augment his own body's durability by strengthening his own molecular bonds, or enhancing his own physical attributes such as speed, strength or agility. I'm also unsure on how fair it would be if he could just willingly separate electrons and protons from atoms, since this would amount to him having the capacity to basically break down living and nonliving objects to their basic building blocks, so to say. Splitting atomic nuclei is also a real possibility, though this would lead to him generating macro-scale fusion or fission reactions.

So basically exactly what Arty does/can do eventually... >_>
"You just had to say it..." More vibrations shook the tower, but Arty anchored himself to the floor and paid as little attention to them as he had to the first ones. His sword remained in his hand, ready for use should the three warrior fellows decide they were suddenly a threat again. Luckily for them, they didn't, and luckily for Arty, it sounded like there was going to be a fight regardless. He turned his masked gaze on the warrior he assumed was the leader of the three. "What can we expect when the legions of doom come strolling in here? More mooks like you guys? Zombies like the ones downstairs? Robots like him?" He hooked a thumb at the Clockwork Man. "Or something else you aren't too keen on fighting?" He raised a questioning eyebrow, a gesture that would go unnoticed beneath the mask save for the slight tilt of his head, and fell silent as he awaited his answer.
Really? Huh... You learn something new every day.
Seems like Fury is the only one who can fly under his own power. Which does seem weird in retrospect...

It's almost like he doesn't realize he's being trolled...

Frankly, the trolling should have been immediately obvious as soon as you agreed with me.

And I'm too tired to work out all the maths and terms right now, so I'll just take your word for it Boerd. For now.
