From what I understand, the Advances seem to be more major "techs", with the Races developing minor things on their own.

Conrad and Spiffy, and anybody else thinking about messing with Humams, we should collectively come up with a name for the Southern Peninsula / Human Lamds.
Conrad tried to Advance Humans three times in one Turn, which Theo said was not allowed.
