AppearanceStanding at 6"2, Lancelot (or Lawliet as he calls himself these days) towers over the vast majority of his peers. At one point he had his hair cut as short as could be done with a medieval blade, but these days he has kept the sides shaved and grown out the top a bit for a sort of eerie combover that few but himself seem to like. Under his generally loose fitting formal wear, Lawliet is quite well built, lean but tough. His light grey eyes have been known to change between a sign of light merriment and a piercing glare.
"A woman once told me chivalry was dead. Now, please keep in mind chivalry is only one part showing great respect to women. The rest is medieval battle etiquette. I proved to that woman chivalry isn't dead. She, on the other hand, not so lucky."
PersonalityA man obsessed with justice, Lawliet focuses deeply on his career and has a near perfect record of winning trials, whether the accused was actually guilty or not. He believes that if innocents need to be sacrificed to find those who are evil in his mind, it should be done. Quite ironically, Lawliet seems to think he's above the law, with a lot of personal distaste for authority, thinking they go too soft on criminals.
Occasionally you'll find Lawliet in a more friendly mood, smiling and cracking jokes with those he calls friends, and is actually quite friendly as long as you haven't hurt anybody or stolen anything. For an alcoholic he can't hold his liquor very well, becoming very flirtatious and cheery when he's drunk.
StrengthsWeaknesses- Awkward (Often misunderstands what is appropriate in a social setting)
- Would rather punish an evildoer than save an innocent
- Lustful
- Functioning Alcoholic
Mortal Weakness- Severely allergic to Essix, would most likely die if he took any
FearsNot being strong enough to do what is right
"I will die in battle; that I am certain of. But I hope to die in a battle of my choosing. But if it is to be this one, do not bury me in our sad little cemetery. Burn me, and cast my ashes to a strong eastern wind."
HistoryLancelot had it all, a knight of the round table, respected by all, feared by Camelot's enemies, and had all the wine and feasts he could ask for. Unfortunately, that was all lost to him when he woke up in Lady Guinevere's bedchambers, both of them unclothed. Having slept with his king's queen was a crime punishable by hanging, yet he stayed, continuing the relationship with Her Ladyship. In a matter of months, they were found out, King Arthur found out.
Being his favourite knight, King Arthur spared his life, merely exiling him to a far off land. Becoming a sword for hire to pay for mead, food and a roof over his head, his name once again became famous, this time under the moniker 'The Dark Knight'. Filled with sorrow he drank more and more, using alcohol, women and the occasional man to drown his sorrows, regretting all that he had lost due to his unholy lust.
Since coming to Earth, Lawliet found an interest in this modern justice system they had and started studying law to become a prosecutor, intent on punishing those who had done wrong by the eyes of the law. He hasn't, however, gotten any less dependent on drink or on 'adult companionship'.
