Bio

Scorpion's Flower here, Hello all!

My native language if French, but I think I defend myself pretty well in English. I am currently studying German, too.

I currently study in general History, and I have a deep passion for it. If I was forced to pick a favorite time period, it would be Antiquity in general. If I had to pick a favorite civilization, it would be the Romans. In no way, though, does this mean I am not interested in anything else from the 1st, or before, to the 20th century !

I love Fantasy-Roleplays, a lot. It is my forte, and what I most often play part in. I also love Sci-Fi, but have had a really hard time taking part in ones that lived, or truly caught my utmost interest. I love romance in my roleplays. I would not put it under obligatory, but if you Roleplay with me, you probably will end up witnessing some form of romance. Slice of life, anime, realistic, present times and many others are also things I could easily do. In fact, I think I can easily be interested in all subjects.

Hope to see you around !

Sorry I posted it directly in the character section. Completely forgot I had to show it first. ._.
Shouldn't matter too much what with the hunt going on and all, though.

I think I took a lot of liberties, so I'll edit anything you don't agree with or think need changing. :P

De Lacroy

Princes of Trade

Always Faithful and Prepared

Family History

The De Lacroy come from outside Belvoir, from another kingdom they refuse to talk about. No one knows exactly when they arrived in Rothenburg, about a few generations ago. They arrived by sea, nothing more than petty merchants like so many others. Through decades of good planning and financial success, however, they managed to climb the social ladder and make a true name for themselves. Their many partners and contracts made sure they received a cut from almost any deal within the docks or imports/exports, giving them respectable trade power.

While incredibly rich, the family does not hold a fraction of the power the real Nobles of Rothenburg have for one good reason: they are foreigners. Despite their best efforts, they always have been seen as foreigner by the people no matter how well they succeeded. They made a good name for themselves. They gained the trust of their trade partners. However, the only political weight they might have is their wealth, nothing more. No one from the people seem to forget they are outsiders. As for the Nobles and the High class, though they do trade and mingle together from time to time, they never really accepted the fact that they were not born from noble ancestry.

The image of the De Lacroy is mostly positive and honest, but there are those that say they have a hand in the black market. Nothing has ever surfaced to prove this, but with their influence on every traders or so within the city, it would not be surprising.

Family's Influence

- Many buildings on the waterfront belongs directly to the family: businesses, storage and other. Through them, they operate the majority of their operations in the docks. One of those building, flanked by the family's coat of arms and richly decorated, is their main company's building.

- The family's residing home was built close to the northern wall's gate which is closest to the docks (S Sector). That part of the city was mostly poor before the De Lacroy arrived. They invested a lot of their personal wealth in repairing the sector, building homes and employing most of the local residents. Doing so gave them good influence in the sector.

- Melisentia's family Mining Company that is situated south of Rothenburg, close to the foot of the mountains. From them, they receive ample supplies of Ores that they can use to influence the trade of tools or weapons.

- The family hold rights to tax anyone using the docks, meaning they make good money out of all the fishing trade or any merchants coming in and out of town. They themselves have a fishing company that is doing rather well.

- All of their influence make sure they have ears on the majority of deals regarding trade within the city. They also have a vast portion of the black market answer to them, unknown from the public, which they use to undermine current rivals and bring low any possible rising new ones.

His daughter hates him, his sister in law as well and she is lady Ligart, and he killed the rest of his family coz they turned into bloodsuckers. No wonder why the poor sod sticks to being monster bait.

@AtomicNut There is no such thing as a Digraced blue blood.

Blue blood once, blue blood always ! (•̀ᴗ•́)൬༉
Maybe. Hahaha. I am thinking up what exactly I want. Once it's written, I'll tell you more.

@Nymeria Say, what does it look like on the other side of that sea or simply further on the coast?
Could it be possible that my family is foreigner? I wanted to give them French family names and have an foreign ''French-Nobility'' accent. Feasible?
I am thinking about creating a full family. Of course, not as powerful as the three main families, that goes without say.

If they control the docks or parts of it, though, it could mean they control a lot of what goes in and out of the city. I don't know the state of commerce in your world, but generally controlling that more often than not led to more power than kings Hahaha. Of course, I don't care.

I might just go for someone controlling parts of the docks and many shops in a certain area of the city. I just need to take another look at the map. I'd go for multiple characters, like you did. I could see RPing a family that's all about trying to create a good business to boost them even more to the top such as weapons dealings with Hunters or anything like that.
I was thinking of making another character. Taking example on @AtomicNut.

Also, I get the feeling I won't always be able to post as Juniper and keep it interesting as much as I'd like. I might like to have a character that's noble or something close to it, but I don't know if that is feasible? I was thinking maybe someone that just ascended to Noble status. A very successful merchant family that attained their status through wealth and may be not as liked by the Nobility as blue blood.

is something like this feasible? Otherwise I might just straight out make a Hunter or wait for a good opportunity/idea.

EDIT: @Zelosse Well she won't necessarily end up there. I just imagined the scene could be epic. Haha.
@Zelosse Hahaha I knew I'd pick your interest. I'm pretty sure we'll have the chance to meet again. in the Arena would be epic.
Yeah no problem @LordLinguinie. I thought the same. I kind of did some time skip to the evening/night, so I guessed we'd wait for everyone else to catch up.

@AtomicNut Sorry :( Would've loved it.

@Zelosse
As Juniper was contemplating all of the targets around her and possibly assessing threats, she received a massive punch right on the snout, making her take a step back in surprise. She clawed forward as a basic reflex of self defense, but hit nothing more than air. Looking back up in front of her she saw him: a menacing cloaked figure. His smell was not like the others. He was not a hunter. He was a predator.

The rage was fueled by hunger, but also by something more. She had met this prey before, though her thoughts were in shamble right now and wolf Juniper cared little for the reason why she'd tore him open first. She simply lunged forward with a menacing growl thinking he'd be as easy to open up as the previous vampire - she was wrong. Just as her claws were about to reach the frail body, she felt a massive object hitting the side of her skull. her jaws snapped at the air right beside the man's head as she was led off-target and into the nearby wall.

She shook her head to get back into it and slowly raised her stare back up at him, showing her fangs and snarling even more than before. Digging her feet solidly in the ground, she raised herself to the maximum of her new height to be as menacing as possible then let out a powerful growl at her target just as he shouted back at her in a similar fashion.

Her upper lips fell back unveiling the full series of razor sharp fangs she had, snapping at him. His Blades mirrored her now fully extended claws. His show of strength and his lack of fear made the Lycan hesitate for a mere moment, but she lunged back at him all the same.

With no self regards for safety she got in close trying to lend multiple slash of her powerful claws, but the man evaded with relative ease. It angered her all the more, causing her to be push the attack to the point where she made mistakes. One such mistake caused her to almost impale herself on of the wrist blade of the man and let out a high pitch pain noise while stepping back. She blade had made it's way deep into her side.

Now on the defensive, her blood hunger calmed down enough for her to take a look around and realize in what a dangerous situation she was in. The hunters were busy with the vampires, but if more than one turned to face her first she couldn't handle them by herself. The vampires themselves were not allies either. The only solution to this was flight. Feelings like pride had all but left her in this state and were not troubling her in the slightest. She was lucky in the fact that Davos' might not realize, in his focused state, that she was envisaging fleeing. He probably expected another attack, and she was gonna give it to him.

The Lycan feinted another aggressive leap, but used her heightened reflexes to quickly evade any attacks and jump around him, bouncing off the wall in a great leap towards the staircase. There she turned around to stare at him one last time. In that final gaze there was more intelligence than a beast. There was hate, anger and a strong desire for vengeance. On all fours, she made her way up the stairs and exited the vampire's den in a matter of seconds.

A few hours laters

Evening in Rothenburgh

@LordLinguinie
After her escape, Juniper ran through the nearby woods for a long time. She was not exactly aware of where she was going, but her instinct were bringing her back to the only place she felt was home: Rothenburgh.

She stopped between two trees as the walls came into sight, sniffing the evening's air. She ran up to the wall and easily enough climbed it up and, from there, jumped on a roof inside the city. Unaware of it herself, she was making her way to the old hideout where she had been welcomed by other beggars. To both Juniper and her inner wolf it was perceived as home and safe. There were still people on the streets, but she managed to remain unseen by remaining on the roofs for as long as possible.

Since the sun was setting, people were quick to empty the streets. Juniper judged it safe to make her way down into an alley since she was closer to her destination. Just as it came into sight, however, a noise caught her attention. Making her way down on the ground had caught the attention of a group of about six men who were making their way towards her right now: armed. Were they keeping watch on the place where a previous werewolf attack had occurred?

Everything after that happened in an instant. She gave up a as much as a fight as she could, but exhaustion and her wound sapped at her strength. While she managed to rip through the first guard she leaped on, tearing him to shreds, and severely wounding the second man who attacked her, she eventually was outnumbered. One spear piercing her tight brought her low and another man threw a net around her. They seemed to be well equipped to deal with such a threat while not being hunters.

Exhausted and beaten, Juniper turned back from a large whimpering beast to the form of a little crying girl. Her agony did not last long before she blacked out, however. One of the man threw a large blanket over her possibly to hide her from any prying eyes and prepared her for transportation.
