For sure! I was thinking of keeping it pretty similar to her basic comic backstory, being a child of Shiva and David Cain, raised by Cain to be a mute assassin. Perhaps to theme her historically though, she could have grown up in Hong Kong amidst WW2/Chinese Cultural Revolution, with Cain trying to train her as a tool for taking out contracted targets. Then, she runs away to Gotham, trying to follow Bats' footsteps, and eventually gets taken into the Batfamily. I think I'd also like to avoid the whole "telepath rewriting her brain" idea, emphasizing that while she struggles with language, she's taking formal speech training with help from Alfred and other allies.
Would 17 or 18 be a good age for her?

Hello! I'm Scrawls, aka the scribble man. I'm a long-time writer who started off my storytelling hobby by roleplaying on a random forum back in my childhood so I'm very nostalgic for text rp. Now I'm a college kid studying literature/fiction writing, who is itching to do some more casual roleplay once more! As much as I like working with solo prose, I've been craving collaborative storytelling! Not sure how active I'll be, really hoping I can jump back in though. (College saps a lot of my time unfortunately ;-;)
Big fan of playing and DMing DnD, but I've been in the mood to RP in less fantasy-style worlds, and more YA/superhero-themed ones. Currently rewatching Young Justice and reading old Batman comics so I might be on the lookout for those kinds of rps! Besides that, I love The Owl House and some other Western cartoons.
