Lilith and Shantae

Location: Mad Hatter's table

The Mad Hatter responded to everyone's requests to leave by angerly yelling at the group and slamming his fist on the table witch caused the whole thing to shake, along with some of of the plates and cups as well, some cups even fell over from the blow. But even after his persistent efforts everyone still stuck their ground, with Grey pointing out that they weren't here to play their games and Shantae following up. "Exactly, We can't stay here right now! This is super important!" She exclaimed, joining in the crew.

Meanwhile Lilith just watched them argue, not really sure what to do right now, that was until she saw Joel about to sip his tea. Normally this wouldn't be to bad but The Hatter mentioned that he added a secret ingredient while he was angerly shouting so that really scared her.
"Joel no!" Thinking quickly she snapped her fingers and threw Joel's tea cup across the room, breaking it into pieces.

That was probably a bad idea because The Hatter would probably be furious by now.

Location: Mad Hatter's table

Lilith and Shantae didn't really know what to say at the moment, they really should be going out and saving lives right now but unfortunately they were stuck here with this creepy hat guy and his equally unsettling guests and even though sitting down at one of the seats was probably one of the worst ideas right now. But apparently Grey and Sougo seem to be fine, even after taking their seats. Shantae though that maybe that she might be fine as well so she slowly and cautiously walked over to the seat next to Grey and sits down, not with out giving a request though.

"Hey can we move this along a little quickly?" She asks trying to seem kind but also wanting to make it clear that she wanted things to speed things along. Lilith nods and adds to the request. "I agree with Grey and Shantae, there are lives to save out there." She says in her usual shy tone but with a bit of sternness added. "May I be excused?"

As the group traversed through the hallway they would soon enough come across a room consisting of a long table witch looked like it stretched out through the whole room and two rows of people wearing creepy bunny masks. And at the end of the table was a shadowy figure wearing a comically large hat on top of his head. He insisted everyone to take a seat and obviously this would be some sort of trap as well, even though it would be rude not to do so. Despite their good manners, Lilith and Shantae decided not to do so.

"Uh...so, nice weather out huh?" Shantae says letting out awkward laugh, meanwhile Lilith just scanned around the room and then looked over to Joel. "You think we have a choice?" She whispered as not to let anyone hear them.

Honestly, she wasn't even that freaked out as she should be really. It's probably just because she watched a movie similar like this once but one would probably be pretty freaked out right now, you know, like Shantae! She was trying to hide her fear clearly but deep down you could tell she wasn't having the best time. "Now you tell me." She says in response to Grey's comment on this being terrifying.

Welp, so much for sticking to pairs.

Eventually Lilith Shantae and the rest of the group found themselves in a long hallway with a disembodied voice cackling over them, alluring them to cross this path, obviously this was some sort of trap and Grey took note of that. He was right, this does look pretty suspicious, but this gave Shantae an idea, maybe there was some sort of way to set it off. So when no one was aware she grabbed a sardine from her sardine can she carried and threw it across the hall, hoping something would go off.

Lilith watched the whole thing in confutation and asked her what that was about. "What the hell, do you just casually carry sardines with you wherever you go?" Shantae looked over and rebutted. "Hey, I tend to get hungry while I go off on my adventures!"

Uh oh, looks like Lex overheard Grey and Lilith's conversation, saying that Sarah TOTALLY looked be held against her will on that tv.
"O-Oh uh, right sure, I guess." She said caught off guard, This was also taken in account for Shantae as she gave Lex a annoyed look after he said this. Lex then noted that silver android that was present and introduces him as A.M.A.Z.O. and says that he will be accompanying you on their expedition, as she heard this Lilith looked up at him ang greeted him with an awkward smile. "Uh...yeah, good to see you." She says before slowly floating back towards Shantae.

Now to shift the topic! With everyone forming teams this whole time Lilith kind of thought that she should've teamed up with someone by now, there were a few problems however, she didn't really know who to team up with and that combined with her introverted nature so there was kind of one good option she had, and that was teaming up with Shantae. "Hey Shantae?" Lilith said waving over to her for a bit, she took note of this and went over to her. "Hey Lilith, so who do you want to team up with?" Shantae asked curiously, wondering who the two would group up with, but Lilith was kind of wishing she wouldn't ask this though since, y'know. "Oh right, about that."

"I kind of want to work in pairs, I know we should work in bigger numbers and all but I just wanted to team with you since...well...you're kind of the only person I warmed up to enough." Shantae thought about it for a bit, it's true that Lilith and Shantae gotten very used to each other by now so she thought that there wasn't too much harm in doing so, the two could hold their own together as well. So she nodded her head and agreed to the suggestion. "I guess that doesn't sound too bad, if that's what you want to do then I'm not complaining!" She says in agreement, meanwhile Lilith let out a sigh of relief and formed a smile, which was rare to see for her "Good, I'm glad you could understand."

And now everyone was ready to fight back against Superman and/or protect the innocents, while the two were ready to protect some of the civilians. First Lilith, she rushed over to some of the people in danger and formed a protective shield around them. "Don't worry, this'll keep you safe! I know what I'm doing." She said as she then looked over to some of the other people inside and rush over to save them as well, with Shantae following behind and the shield still being up.

The two then found a group of people who helped a injured woman. "Oh hey." Lilith said out of breath. "Good to see you guys again."

Fortunately for her Grey also didn't put any trust towards Lex Luthor, he comments on the fact that he kind of get's a creepy vibe from him and she couldn't lie, Lilith can see why Grey would think that. Maybe it's because he was too secretive or that he just straight up pulled a Houdini and proofed a young girl out of the room, but yeah, that's defiantly believable. He also points out that he wasn't sure if it was the right move to team up with Superman ether as he believed that he guy wasn't trustworthy ether, Lilith however thought differently and spoke up. "Well...about that. I think Lex might be, I don't know...lying?" hinting to the fact that he might be projecting his envy of Superman onto the others and they're just supposed to blindly follow with that.

Grey also says that practically anyone here could be against them, I mean, what's stopping that green hatted goat from killing everyone in the room...well, aside from a high morality, Ralsai does seem like he would be that kind of though. "Hmm...you have a point, but I think Shantae wouldn't be like that. We've gotten pretty close."

After the two of them ended their discussion Grey introduced himself as well and they would've probably talk to each other more, until suddenly a silver coated android decided to butt in and ask if they were on the team of 'kicking butt from the frontlines' as he puts it. Lilith looked up to see the towering android and yelped from the shock, all while she stumbled over herself trying to get a sentence out. Grey however was slightly caught off guard at worst as he just started to strike up a casual conversation with him, eventually Lilith did say something intelligible. "Wh-What I uh...Do you know who this is?"

It's a good thing Grey agreed to talk with her because she really wanted to bring this up with some one, she would've talked about this with Shantae but she would've assumed that she already knew Lex wasn't what he says anyway so this whole talk with her would've been arbitrary, so se decided to have this discussion with him since she thinks he wasn't fully aware of Lex's intent yet, plus this would be a pretty good way to get to know someone since they haven't really gotten to know each other since they only interaction they had was knowing of each other's exitance.

Both Grey and Lilith went over to the side of the room were they were out of ear-shot from everyone else, just how Lilith would want it because she didn't want Lex to hear this, and now he asked for a name and what she wanted to talk about. "Lilith." She said before looking off to the side. "Right...about Luthor." She then looked back to Grey and gave him the whole story.

"I uh...don't think we should trust him. I mean I already didn't feel super comfortable before he just casually wiped that girl out of the room and brought her somewhere else, but now that he's done that I just...can't believe a thing he says, I think we should stick by this 'Superman' guy he was talking about instead." Lilith then stops for a bit before looking over to Lex, who Shantae was still having her little discussion with before starting back up again.

"I know I may be jumping to conclusions and all but...I'm usually not the confidant type ether but I'm sure he's up to something." So now it was her time to wait and see if Grey 100% agreed with her or if he thought she was crazy.

Thankfully Lex Luthor did answer Lilith's question, although not with words but with action. Another button was pressed, and the table from before lit up with a holographic image. Sarah was shown and it appeared as if she was in some sort of playroom and sitting in front of a tv with some sort of action movie playing on it, all the while the blonde woman that they saw earlier standing beside her. It seemed like the girl was totally fine but what caught Shantae's eye was that her arms were down by her side for some reason, and that reason she assumed that she was being held hostage so she asked about this. "Hey you don't happen to have her being forcefully held captive are you?" She asks in a suspicious and determined tone.

Lilith took note of this fact and started to ponder on the fact, Lex honestly seemed like he wasn't the most trustworthy person and maybe this Superman guy he has been talking about was actually the hero of this story, she wanted to discuss this with someone but she obviously didn't want Lex to hear about this as she didn't want to end up in the same room as Sarah. She floated over to the nearby sword welding fox known as Grey and asked to talk about something.

"Hey uh...can we talk about something, y'know...in private?"

Lilith and Shantae

Lex answered both of Lilith and Shantae's questions. Starting with Lilith, he said that a incorporeal being with the power of possession could surely become useful at some point or another, not to mention her other more powerful abilities. "Um...I guess that could help." She said showing a slight bit of uncertainty, Lilith actually was able to pull of some pretty impressive stuff, the only reason she really asked that was because she had somewhat of a inferiority complex and she probably still wasn't sure if she was comfortable with helping Lex out with his whole bounty problem, but hey, every little bit helps right?

Next Lex answered Shantae's question by keeping it brief and saying that they did some research and leaving it at that, that answer worried her, an answer that vague must mean that they must've done something really outlandish or immoral to do so and anyone that secretive must be doing so. They might of been spying on these people and their every move and that kind of creeped her out, so now that she was given that explanation she just responded and tried not to think about it anymore, as doing so would likely drive anyone crazy. "Uh...okay then." She wasn't sure if she wanted to trust Lex after she heard this.

But spying on people was just the beginning of Lex's questionable actions, actually this one was more the questionable. After having to put up with some petty arguing he became feat up with it and move his hand under the desk he was sitting in, likely to press some sort of button that was hidden there, and suddenly Sarah was surrounded in a mass of black smoke before disappearing completely. "Jesus Christ!" Lilith shouted out in shock, meanwhile Shantae let out a freighted yelp, now she trusted him even less. Neither of them didn't even know what to say at first but soon enough Lilith finally said something. "What...What the hell did you do to her!?" She believed that the whole 'she is safer now' excuse was good enough.
