Sergeant Aelius' Introduction

Greetings and good day! I am Sergeant Aelius. I have been Role-Playing for a total of 6 years now. My first experience was as a Star Wars Role-Player. Role-Playing became a hobby as soon as I started doing it. My favorite genres of Role-Playing include post-apocalyptic, science-fiction, and fantasy. I prefer group Role-Plays, but I work just fine whenever I am doing a 1 on 1 Role-Play. I enjoy complex, lore-centered, advanced, and long post Role-Plays rather than fast-paced and short post Role-Plays. I enjoy playing video games, specifically Role-Playing Video Games, Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Video Games, and story-driven shooter games. Some of these games are; Fallout, the Elder Scrolls, Gears of War, and Grand Theft Auto.

The Story-Teller

The time was 13:46 Standard Multi-Galactic Time. The Redeelian Imperial Delegation was here, as well as the Human Republic Negotiators. The people here were of different roles, some were here to mediate, to help both sides come to a conclusion. Some were here to support their respective nations. Some were here for other reasons. Some still came from the lands being discussed, despite Redeelian
Empire 'discouragement'. The whole idea of this meeting was to discuss a very specific Solar System. This Solar System was highly valued, and had been fought over for the entirety of the war thus far.

It was located on the outskirts of a Satellite Galaxy under Imperial control, and it had many, many valuable resources. Ruins of Fleets were scattered across its battlefields, and many rotting soldiers littered the lands as well. The Imperial Delegation wanted to make sure they could keep as much of the Solar System as possible, while the Republic Negotiators wanted to ensure the Solar System fell into the hands of the Human Republic. The mediators were generally natives of the Solar System. All sides had an ax to grind here. Nobody planned on giving any ground or leverage, but in the end somebody had to.

The Delegation Representatives and Negotiator Representatives were all here now, and they stood beside their chairs at the meeting. The main mediator then spoke. "Redeelian Empire Delegation Representatives, Human Republic Negotiator Representatives, and lesser mediators, please take your seats." No soldiers of either side were here today, but fear and nervousness was in the air, as would be normal in a meeting such as this. Nobody admitted it, but everyone had a hold-out weapon here, even though they gave up their more deadly weapons at the door. The meeting was now about to commence.

The doors closed, and a recording device began to record, so that the terms of this meeting could be verified as true. The main mediator then spoke. "The first thing on the list to discuss is the Planet of Gogarick. This planet has valuable resources and many ship-yards." He waited a few moments then spoke once more. "The Human Republic Negotiators will be the first ones to speak." The entire population of people at the meeting waited for the first person to speak. This meeting would almost certainly be a long one, and it would be hard on all sides taking part, nobody that was here was ready to lose.

The current year is 5,006 of the Common Era, approximately 2,500 years since the formation of the 'Human Republic'. Those years in the past are important, and their events shaped the future, and saved Humanity. In the early 2nd Millennium of the Common Era, the people of the Planet Earth, the Humans, had begun their backwards evolution. Their culture had become idiotic, and their people insane. Physical features of Humanity also seemed to be reversing back to their apish roots. The intelligent ones left began to fight for something better. They fought for a cure to this illness, so that they could decide their future, not nature. They eventually created and invented several types of advanced tech. By the middle of the 2nd Millennium, a group had finished their 'war of liberation', or war of conquest, depending on who you asked. They formed something new, the Human Republic, and their scientists had created tech that completely reversed the backwards evolution of Humanity. They had medical technology that increased Human lifespans to 180 years old, and prevented them from aging much until they were around 70 years old. They made Humans physically superior to their ancestors, and they made them far more intelligent.

Their technology only became greater, and their military stronger. Earth had eventually become an Ecumenopolis, and it had run out of room for its ever growing population. The Human Republic had Terraformed Planets in their own Solar System first. By the 3rd Millennium, however, they had Terraformed Planets all over the Milky Way Galaxy. New cities were constantly being built on newly habitable planets. Several alien species were even found, and they were integrated into the Human Republic as well. The military of the Human Republic continued to advance its Fleet with new ships, and they continued to better equip and enlarge their Army as well. Eventually, by the 4th Millennium, the Human Republic spanned the entire Milky Way Galaxy. Many Stars throughout the Milky Way Galaxy had also had technology made for them, to keep them preserved, so that they wouldn't die and kill off entire populations in the process. By the middle of the 4th Millenium the Human Republic had discovered something that would eventually be their greatest enemy. The Human Republic discovered the Redeelians, but other than knowing of their existence at the time, they paid little attention to them, as they were outside of the Milky Way Galaxy.

By the year 5,000 of the Common Era, the Human Republic had a military of great strength. The Soldiers of the Human Republic Army were equipped with Medium Weight Combat Armor and Laser Rifles. The Fleet was outfitted with mostly Corvettes and Frigates, with a few Destroyers and even fewer Dreadnoughts scattered about. However, they had many, many ships, and they were of decent quality. The Redeelians, who controlled a Galaxy of their own, as well as two Satellite Galaxies, operated their military a bit differently. They used mostly Destroyers, and didn't tend to use any sort of ship smaller than that, other than Fighters and Bombers, of course. Their Army Soldiers were outfitted with Padded Armor and Plasma Carbines. Their Soldiers were poorly trained, but they vastly outnumbered the Soldiers of the Human Republic. The Redeelians Government was not like the Human Republic, instead, it was an enslaving Redeelian Empire. They ruled through fear and tyranny.

In the year 5,002 of the Common Era, the Human Republic and Redeelian Empire came into contact. The Redeelian Empire almost immediately declared war on the Human Republic, and demanded their surrender and servitude. The Human Republic similarly declared war on the Redeelian Empire and also similarly demanded an unconditional surrender, however, they demanded the complete liberation of the lands the Redeelian Empire currently controlled as well. The war is still currently raging, with victories for both sides everywhere. The war most likely won't end anytime soon, but one can only hope.

I would be willing to do battle role-play. I can do officers or infantry. Anyone looking for combat can join up with me. I always attempt to do four-paragraph posts in which all paragraphs are five lines long. Expect a no surrender, fight to the death, give 'em hell, with a preference to trench warfare, type of atmosphere.

Who is interested in something involving negotations at the end of a war?

I have tried my hand in many a nation role-play in the past. I suppose it's time to get back into the game. I would be quite interested. Please get back to me with an idea of what this RP will be. If you need it, I can come up with a story-line.

Violence, Disease, and Anarchy - Apocalypse Role-Play - Background Information

Background Information: Early Times
- During the early 2000’s, a bioweapon was being designed, and it was created by the United Nations, and planned to be used against their
potential enemies if necessary. The goal of the weapon was to kill off populations via disease, and it was supposed to be untraceable
to the source, that being a United Nations bioweapon.

Background Information: Deadly Complications
- Eventually, whenever the weapon was being designed, the disease it carried had accidentally been released. The strand released didn’t
just kill off populations, but it created a parasite that would take control of the body once the host had died. Small amounts of the
population had a natural immunity to it, however.

Background Information: End’s Beginning
- The disease caught the world off guard, and before a vaccine could be produced, everyone who had the potential to be infected by the
disease had been infected. The people who came back as parasitic hosts most often were hostile and cannibalistic. The small amounts of
people with immunity started being killed off.

Background Information: New Order
- The world’s remaining human population began to split off into two separate cultural groups. Marauders were the ones who raided,
pillaged, and killed to survive, only focusing on themselves or their gang. The survivors were the ones who used violence only against
the undead, and did things like scavenging to survive.
