Codi Bailey and Atticus Fowler

Upon seeing that the girls were leaving, and aware of the fact that Henry had mentioned a waterfall, and what she suspected was a swimming activity, she immediately began to plot a prank on her best friend. It actually had more meaning than just laughter at Atticus’ expense, though. Being a fish man, she had tried to convince him for an entire year to see if he could breathe underwater, even if it just meant sticking his head in a bathtub filled with water. Atticus, of course, had reasons for refusing, and although one would think they were cowardly, it wasn’t really that lacking in common sense. The obvious reason he wouldn’t do it was because he was afraid he might not be able to do it, and therefore take in water and drown.

Codi, however, knew that if he never tried, he might have a cool ability that he would never use. She was also aware that she couldn’t be the one to save him if he did start to drown, because Reef weighed so much that she would sink, and she wouldn’t be able to get him to the surface in time, even though she could probably still hold her breath long enough to climb out. Deciding, though, that with so many different meta-humans around with a good sense of humor, she could probably have some accomplices, she didn’t worry too much. With this plot in mind, she walked next to Henry so she could get the teacher’s permission to pull the prank. She wasn’t crazy enough to do something that might be deemed risky without someone knowing what to do if the situation turned sour.

Codi waited until Atticus had, while admiring the jungle around him, walked a distance enough away where he wouldn’t overhear any conspiring. He wasn’t looking, as she was so used to him wearing glasses that she could now practically sense when he was. Codi looked up at Henry, and started whispering, “Hey, Henry, do you think you could help me do something? I’ve been trying to get Atticus to see if he can breathe underwater or not, but he won’t try. Do you want to help me prank him so that he’s forced to attempt it? He’s a fish-man, so I think he could.” She said in a general suspicious manner associated with all forms and fashions of a plot.
Alright then, that's a bit of a relief.

Okay, so before I go and write a long post, do you want us to just do it separately, or a collaboration? If it's the collaboration, it might take longer because of timezones and such, but it would probably have a stronger effect in the writing to have an actual conversation between our characters. I also think I need to learn how to start collaboration posts, just because I don't know how to do that currently.
Uh, Nick already told me that, I didn't need to see a whole conversation sparked about that.

I should probably mention, though, since it's an important detail I was previously far too uncomfortable to mention properly, that Atticus could walk around in his fish form without clothing, and not be seen as offensive to other people, because organs become internally stored. I decided, though, at the time that I was making his sheet, that I didn't need to say anything because Atticus was still human, and would have been disturbed by the idea of not having clothing, anyway. I suppose I might as well say it because it's been driving me crazy that that one essential detail is missing from his sheet. I drew Atticus before I made him, but because I've been practicing drawing human-like anatomy, it was without clothing, and I didn't want any weird questions being asked if I decided to in the future post the concept art.

Okay, with that out of the way, Codi's plan is to shove Atticus in when he isn't looking. She's the only person who he would permit to get away with it; not that that won't change to include other friends he makes in the future. Henry would get included because Codi put him up to it.
Well, I guess I was kind of vague on that regard, mistakes happen sometimes.

I actually just had a brilliant idea. Remember how I might have mentioned that Codi's been trying to get Atticus to see if he can breathe underwater? This waterfall thing might be a good opportunity for her to convince others to get in on an effort to force him to try. Of course, I don't know if Atticus' hour time-limit has passed yet, so someone would have to clarify for me, but if it has, then Codi would ask everyone to help her out. It would be entertaining, I think, if they worked together to force him to jump in.
Well, I intend to get Codi and Atticus involved in a sub-plot with the ghost-girl, when she shows up, and possibly (If anyone has characters who play instruments) having practice where Codi and Atticus try to start some sort of musical group. I haven't thought of anything fighting-related.

Also, everyone, because I just managed to read over the IC in detail, I need to clarify something. The urchin on Codi's back is not the size of a regular urchin, and whatever clothing she wears has either a natural design or a slit cut into the back so there is a space for it where it attaches to her back. It weighs more than Codi does, and is more comparable to an enormous tortoise shell in size relative to her entire body. This does not take into consideration the long spikes on it, which I have compared to swords or lances in length, and the six arms are each very thick, with spikes, and are eight feet in length. Most people would notice it right away, and Codi isn't able to keep it a secret; she spent an entire year for the most part in social isolation, aside from Atticus, and his and her close relatives.
I'm wishing people would interact with my characters, but it's not easy because I can't post at the same time as everyone else. I don't want to get left out, and I don't want my characters to be side-lined or ignored because of my time-zone. My characters were designed more for character interaction than combat or fighting, I spent a long time trying to come up with distinct personalities, but unless people actually did something like ask about what they did for fun, I can't really do anything to elaborate.
Atticus Fowler and Codi Bailey

Atticus had the distinct feeling that he and Codi would perhaps find this expedition into the jungle more miserable than enjoyable. He was willing to talk and interact with people, but when the first actions they decide on involve making perverted or rude comments, he didn’t want to be around them. He was getting a distinct wrong feeling about the vast majority of people in the school since he had arrived; almost as though they were trouble waiting to happen. He knew the generalized statement about hormonal teenagers, but this was almost too ridiculous to be tolerable. He liked the prospect of going into the jungle, contrary to what his rather fair skin led everyone to believe, but if he had to listen to people speaking garbage all the time, they would ruin the trip for him.

He didn’t let his distaste show, keeping a general stoic expression, and instead allowed himself to make mental notes about people. The first arrival, the girl in the wheelchair, Dana, seemed nice, from Atticus’ perspective. She hadn’t given any sort of reason for him to dislike her, and as far as he could tell, she didn’t let people walk over her. He also wasn’t going to let himself think she was weak, either, because if she was a meta-human, she might have a ridiculously strong power that nobody knows about. When in doubt, err on the side of caution, and don’t get involved in things that you know probably won’t end well.

The other girl, Asae, as Dana had called her, also seemed nice, and in general, Atticus probably was just overreacting inwardly. Aside from him, there were two guys, one of them didn’t seem to be completely bad, but regarding the other one’s behavior, he was somewhat doubtful. One thing was for certain, the one stranger (Because he didn’t catch their names) was too self-confident and even arrogant to ever be worth his time. Atticus considered himself a bit proud and arrogant, but it was more of a personal secret, of which he was the only person aware of such things. He tried to treat everyone respectfully, because nobody likes people who think that nothing important could happen without them.

Then, finally, there was the girl that had come in at the last minute and tripped on seemingly nothing, although Atticus thought for a moment that he had seen something like a line. Had someone just done that on purpose, or was his mind playing tricks on him? Nothing was impossible, so he supposed that while he could ignore it for now, he should remember what happened later and think it over. There was also the pondering of what Asae had in her box. He then marveled at how carrying things inside of boxes, versus backpacks, altered the way people viewed it. Nobody looked at backpacks, but boxes were somehow oddly fascinating. Weird train of logic, when one thought it over.

Codi, who had been made uncomfortable by the train of events, had trouble approaching people. She would have said something to the people earlier, had there not been a wild train of events directly afterwards. She had to work up her courage, though, so she moved over so she could walk next to Dana and the other girl, “Uh, Hi, I’m Codi, and it’s nice to meet you. Sorry I didn’t say anything when you introduced yourself earlier, but everyone just started showing up and I was trying to figure out what was going on. I uh…also forgot your name…I’m really bad with names…sorry…” She said, apologizing, and worried she had made a bad impression. She looked so genuinely honest when she spoke, though, that it was clear she wasn’t faking how painfully awkward it was. She looked a bit shy, though she was still trying to talk to them, anyway.
Okay, I came in, read the OOC, and then burst out laughing at everyone posting pictures of shocked and angry faces and Paula Dean.

With that out of the way, I'm going to try and see what is going on IC-side.
Well, Jaska's a little kid, so it wouldn't take much evidence to change his mind regarding people.
Whatever happens, I'm fine with it, but I don't know how to get in on a collaboration post when I'm not online at the same time as the majority, which is why OOC posts build up while I'm gone.

Anyway, it's nice that people are providing ideas regarding my character, but I am often very busy, and don't really have much time to focus on extremely precise details. There is also the fact that most people probably don't care about certain details as long as the character is balanced. Some stuff doesn't have to be explained, because people might know that my character has Spatial powers, but that doesn't mean they understand the dimension she phases into (hence how she would be fearful of monsters, and nobody believes her because plenty of pocket realms do not have monsters). There's also the chance that if I populate this world with denizens and their minions (Because sub-plots are more fun when there's variation instead of everything being the same) it might be more fun if I took away breath-holding, since my character will be visible partly via outline if someone looked for it, therefore not totally invisible, and I could add more scenes with my character trying to escape the monsters if she doesn't lose her breath whenever she tries to run away from them (Running while holding your breath is highly taxing, and if I do this, the monsters will be everywhere). It would also be good when she appears in the regular dimension looking like she's dying from fright.

With this out of the way, I'll be able to make more detailed posts tomorrow, some free time came up.
