*Nods*
Our father deems those of us like myself an incredibly rare breed, and a necessary one. And I occupy a spot that could quite literally not be filled.

Why not? You can't teach someone?
<Snipped quote by Server>

I would love to be able to say I think it would.

Love to, so not that it really would.
<Snipped quote by Server>

Perhaps. But I exist in a space where I have truly unique capabilities to offer the family. In my absence, nothing could work the same.

But would it work well enough?
<Snipped quote by Server>

My family and the people of the IA, of course. It never has to be specifically me, I suppose, but if I’m best fit for a role people depend on, who am I to decline?

That's one way to look at it. But you could also let someone else get the opportunity to step in if you feel like it's not what you want.
<Snipped quote by Server>

Moreso that there are always more important things to worry about, you know? Responsibility supersedes desire.

Who relies on you? If you're responsible, then someone has to be depending on you doing this, right?
<Snipped quote by Server>

I never have really thought about life strictly from the perspective of what I want. It’s an idea I abandoned a long time ago.

Giving up on hope, I'm guessing?
<Snipped quote by Server>

*Chuckles*
Perhaps because I ended up jaded to the whole idea? I feel terrible though, to be in my position purely because of what I am gifted with rather than having any sort of desire. But trust me, our family has far more than its fair share of hubris spread about.

What is it that you want to do with your life?
<Snipped quote by Server>

Definitely not quite that far. But idolization has effects, both on the end of society and the individual ego.

You seem pretty down to earth, I think. I would normally think someone like that would be full of themselves.
<Snipped quote by Server>

Leader within the family, a hero in public eye. I really dislike the nomenclature though. I strongly prefer thinking of it as private peacekeeping. People love having heroic idols to look up to but I think the jobs stays more pure without a public aspect to it.

Sort of like a secret police, then?
<Snipped quote by Server>

No, not all. But several of us are. People seen as leadership pillars in the family, or people who carry the name as heroic figures, or celebrities in industry. I fall into the former two, as it happens.

Hero and a leader? You act like the hero type.
