Ivy stays out of everyone else’s way to the best of her ability, flinching at Casper’s struggles, until she reaches her assigned shabti beside Ryan’s. The statue comes for her with a sidekick, and the match begins. Ivy’s street instincts come in, and she dodges fairly easily. The shabti keeps striking at her, and Ivy maneuvers around it until she attacks back. She throws a front kick to the groin and an elbow for the jaw, proceeding to trip the shabti when she gets socked in the stomach. She exhales sharply, then smirks and retaliates. She notices her newfound friend, Artemis, was missing, and then remembered what she had yelled earlier.

J.R. approaches her shabti with casual caution, unsure of what to expect from the doll. She crouches a little and feints. The shabti tries to take her down, and they wrestle. She grins in satisfaction when she gets top and pins the shabti, then a few minutes later grunts in pain as her arm is being bent back. “Damn rubber,” she huffs.

A young woman huffs in frustration as she seems to argue with herself. After glancing around and determining there are no witnesses, her eyes glow for a moment and she seems to walk for a bit before disappearing into thin air. “Hey, where did Beni go?” the coach wonders as Beni appears in front of a very pissed and seemingly resilient guy with dark blue hair. Robin. She blocks his strike and sidekicks him fiercely in the stomach and uppercuts his chin. After a flurry of strikes, she gets him in a chokehold, before pausing and looking at her victim. “You alright there, bud?”

Elle parks her bike in the shadows of a nearby building, pulling her jacket tighter around her. She glances around the shrine uncomfortably. She watches the others, gauging their skills and abilities. She checks her pocket knife tucked into her jacket, and takes another swig of the beer she’d been holding on to. She grins faintly and makes sure no one is watching before she trails them. She listens to the musings of a guy with white hair, and gathers that the three were comfortable enough to have met before. Maybe not conventionally, but they still trusted each other. There is definitely something between the girl and the boy with glasses. She glances around the building for any other signs of humans, beyond the well kept grounds. Is there someone here, or is it another manifestation of whoever brought them here? She keeps as silent as she can as she follows them along the path, looking around for another entrance. She strays from the path to inspect the shrine from the outside, and potentially to avoid a run-in.

Katla looks around the port village of Hallasholm. She was sweaty and dirty from months of travel and sleeping with cattle, but with her newfound liberation from the smelly beasts (she had sold them at a market for a few bags of gold a few weeks ago). While she was there, she had gotten a message to come to this new town so that she might meet her shieldmates. She wonders who she might fight beside as she chews on dried meat. As she wanders around, looking for the local mead hall, she receives strange looks, but couldn’t care less. She strolls into the hall just as a somewhat burly man announces that he was going on raids. She smiles and starts her way to the counter, swinging her axe casually. She grins and makes small talk with a nearby tenant, occasionally swigging mead. The drink warms her up from the inside, but she stays focused on finding the skirl of The Wolfwind.
@RumikoOhara A 6 foot sports kid vs a well toned girl that’s been an auto mechanic for 5 years
Marin leads him to an a workspace besides hers. Hers is marked and dirty, like she’d come here for a while. Marin talks to the teacher and introduces Eric, then nods as she hears what they’re doing. “Ooh this will be fun.”
Jonathan starts to massage his back, shoulders, and neck.

Arthur rubs her belly a little. “I think of us and our kids.. should you want any.”
@RumikoOhara Hmm an Irish girl vs an African American street kid. Who would win?
@RumikoOhara Lol Elle’s main mode is pissed so I’m surprised they didn’t throw hands tbh and I’ll fix it
Elle

Elle sighs. ”Good god woman.” ‘Thanks for reminding me why I work alone.’ She straightens her bike and frowns when she looks in the direction of the shrine, doubting the undeniable force. However, she kicks off and starts to speed down the street. In the distance, she sees a guy on a skateboard, and then a bit farther she sees some lump on a bike. She slows down and ventures down a side road, keeping her eyes on the new people. In her mind, there was no reason they couldn’t be, or at least be in collaboration with, the people creatures that had put her in a giant ball. Maybe this is an experiment? She sticks to the shadows as she trails the others: a boy on a skateboard, a boy and a girl on a weird motorbike. Are the boy and girl together?
“Get on your stomach.”

Arthur kisses the top of her head. “When you think of the future, What do you see?”
