Did not expect to spend my Saturday in bed with a nightmarish headache. Replies might be slow today.

Bio

So, hello all, I'm Shi. I've been participating in play-by-post roleplays for the past 8 years, though I did just come back from a break. If I'm working with you and go silent for more than a week without any explanation or heads up please send me a message and call me out on it. (Check my status if this happens. I leave most of these warnings there now.) I honestly just lose the motivation to write a lot...or forget to give a warning and then feel super guilty and put off replying longer.

On a better note; I just recently completed college and my schedule has opened up for the first time in years. Unlike before I am no longer balancing school, work, and life.

That is all...

"My life is my own, its secrets are mine,
I keep my world to myself, so don't cross the line,
But if fiction is what you are looking for, then I will be there,
A pen in my hand and a story to share.

That is what I am here for, to create stories galore,
Epics of heroes, battles of gore,
Lives unheard of, worlds not yet explored,
I am here to write, to no longer be bored."

Shade turned a bit, listening intently but keeping her eyes mostly fixed on the robots below. “I would offer to just teleport us inside…. But he’d expect that and we’d just end up getting caught.” She murmured. Robots marched pass them, unaware of the two watching them from the rubble pile. Suddenly she turned to face him, a hand on her hip. “Alright, if it’ll get us inside without being spotted then do what you have to do.” She replies, a little confused and worried. She had no other idea though, Dr. Horrible knew how her powers worked and what neutralizes them. It would just put them in more trouble than she wanted at the moment.
Shade froze, a chill of fear climbing up her spine at the look she got. She shook the feeling off though and took his hand carefully in hers. In seconds they were engulfed in the shadows, the world disappearing around them only to reappear as the old science building materialized nearby. Instead of pulling away from the terrifying man though she used her grip on his hand to pull him down with her. She had a feeling the man would be ticked but right after she pulled the both of them behind a mountain of rocks at least a dozen of those bots from before walked by. The entire building seemed heavily guarded, there being at least four guards at every visible exit and seemingly dozen patrolling the area. “Great, he’s never this heavily guarded.” She says, watching for any spot in the defense.
Suddenly the shifter went silent, a look of anger crossing her face. “Who the hell do you think you are?” she snaps, locking her now aqua eyes on the strange woman. “I can face my own demons because my sanity isn’t worth someone’s life and if I wasn’t prepared to face my own consequences I wouldn’t have done it.” She growls, her anger quickly flaring. Her eyes scan her battered companions before locking coldly back onto Marianne. “Why is it you keep singling me out, what makes my life more important than everyone else’s. Mr. T is in pieces, Daniel can’t even stand…. Not a single one of us has been unfazed since we got in this Hell hole. Yet you chose to offer ME help. If you knew us as well as you pretend you do then you’d know I’d refuse your offer.” She snaps.

Alex leans down and picks up Mr. T, only to back away from Marianne with the injured bear in her arms. “Now let’s go stitch you back up. Ok?” she chimes, her dark mood lightening a bit as she turned her back on her. With a chuckle she started walking back to where the rest of Mr. T. was.
Alex had been shocked when Sasha lunged at the creatures before her, she hadn’t been expecting it. What shocked her more though was the sudden reappearance of Marianne. Where the hell did she even come from? A cold feeling crept up her spine as the odd woman spoke. She still wondered what she was, especially seeing as she seemed to have no malice towards them yet she was clearing the tattered remains of the bug-like creatures from the marble flooring.

Nonetheless the shifter let the flames in her hand die down, her form slowly and difficultly shifting back into the thin white haired woman she was. The shift took a lot out of her this time and unbeknownst to her the color of her eyes had remained the sapphire blue of her most recent form, not yet back to the aqua color it should be. Overall though the only true strain on her was the pounding headache and the struggle of forcing Daniel’s persona from her mind. It fought back against her, as if it were the true owner of her body instead of the optimistic personality who was trying it’s hardest to dismiss it. This was the side effect of her ability. Taking another’s form, another’s abilities and persona, it took its toll on her the longer she remained someone else. “That’s not me… It’s not who I am, so GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!” she rambled, starting off with a faint panicked voice only to end it in a loud outburst of anger. She was talking to herself, plain as day.
Shade let out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding, letting the wall crash back into the ground before several branches of it reach out and trap the troublemakers. Then with a flick of her wrist the tendrils of darkness formed into a multitude of legs, the creature of shadows taking off with the teens in tow.
The cops could deal with them for now.
With them out of the way Shade quickly walked after Terror. Sure she was terrified he’d turn around and shoot her for stopping his strange sense of justice but she knew she’d need help. Dr. Horrible wasn’t a foe to take lightly. “We can keep walking if you want, but it would be faster just to let me get us there.” She stated, walking up to where she was side by side with the imposing man.
Alexandra stiffened for a split second as the creatures descended upon them, fear coursing through her veins. “Alright, I think it’s time someone taught them not to mess with fire.” She chuckles, a ball of flame erupting from her hand. Several of the beasts lashed out at her, only to be burnt to a crisp from her new temporary abilities. Once she was clear of the attackers she let the flame reach out towards the real Daniel, not completely sure what he was planning.

An aching sensation spread through her skull, making her cringe. She knew taking this form wouldn’t end well. It was then a swarm attacked her from the side opposite the flame, and instead of her usual calculating self she felt over confident like she could take on anything. “Bring it on you little devils!!” she growled, her voice still matching Daniels due to the previous shift. Great she was already starting to act like Pyro, she really should have thought this through more.
Shade stood her ground even though she was slightly afraid he’d go through with his threat. She had no idea what he was capable of. In hopes of strengthening her resolve though she stretched her arms outward, a solid wave built of shadows forming behind her to separate Terror and the kids. “Terror, I won’t just step aside and let you deal out your own brand of ‘justice’.” She practically growled, her hands tensing into fists and the wave rising higher. The hero had a sudden sinking feeling regarding the true nature of this man and she wondered if she should really trust him.
Shade had let go of him when they arrived at their destination, only to watch in shock as Terror approached a group of defiant teens. He seemed ready to kill them, just because they decided to graffiti a disturbing image of Terror being killed. Sure it wasn’t a good thing, but it wasn’t something to kill over.

In seconds the young woman threw herself in-between the angered man and the kids. “What the hell are you doing?!! They’re just kids, we’ll let the police deal with them.” She shouted, suddenly worried for the kids safety. What kind of hero was this guy?
Shade chuckled, her voice almost melodic as it echoed off the stone walls. Her eyes shone with a newfound determination. “Alright, then I’ll let you lead.” She chimes, a smile on her pink lips. The hero wondered just what he needed to do but didn’t question what it was. Instead she merely took his hand in hers. She forced her mind to clear, still clinging to his arm tightly. If she let go for even a second, if he slipped from her grasp during this, he could end up anywhere. He would be lost in the darkness and from his last reaction to her little ‘trick’ she was nervous he’d try to free himself. “Now, think of where we’re going then hold on tight and don’t get distracted.” She ordered with a calm voice, her eyes closing as a swarm of darkness surrounded them.
Sorry for my absence yet again. It's not really a good habit for a GM to have, constantly having things come up that keep me away from the computer.
