@LeeRoy Sounds good, I'll wait to see what you come up with.

@GreivousKhan All of my characters are in the link in my signature. Nicoli and Ryuku are the only two that are available for a ranked match. But, if you aren't looking for ranked than all of them become available. Also, all of my characters follow a pretty standard fantasy theme. I'm not one for modernday or futuristic combat.

*Edit. The exception to the Modern Day rule being my character Edrik, whos is heavily inspired by the Dresden Files.
Anyone down for a good ole friendly fight? I currently have one ranked and one unranked match going on. I'm fine with either.
Sounds good.
Do you mine editing your post so that I can change mine accordingly?

Your attack was fairly vague and left a lot of room for interpretation. Nowhere in your post did you mention her ducking, nor was the distance of her steps mentioned or the power of her attack/block.

In a previous post I mentioned Ryuku’s stance, he is leading with his left leg his weight evenly distributed. So, logically for you to intercept a right handed attack at the elbow Kaiu will need to try and step inside his leading leg or over extend her left arm to make up for the distance. Of course she could just block at the wrist as well and ignore the whole thing and I’m sure there a dozen other things that could be done that I am completely missing.

And no worries, I know that my descriptions aren’t the greatest either.
The fact that his attack was stopped and arm pushed ever so slightly did little to deter Ryuku’s actions, he merely adapated. His attack had been akin to a boxers straight, it had much farther to travel than the simple jab. But it also meant that to effectively hit the crook of his elbow the women would need to close the distance. Ryuku was taller, his arms longer, he had a distinct advantage in reach. The fact that the women stepped forward and to the opposite side of the attack also meant that she had farther to strike, giving Ryuku all the time he needed to react, similar to what he had done a moment ago with his longer strike.

Kaiu’s s block would be effective in that it stopped everything from the elbow to the shoulder from moving and pushed it slightly up and right, however, from elbow to fingertips was not so. Knowing his attack ha no chance of reaching its mark his forearm would swing down like a fulcrum, hand outstretched to try and grab a hold of the collar on her clothing.

Ryuku’s staff was already in place, set to prevent the exact attack that Kaiu was performing with her small blade. He kept the staff between him and the blade, using his bulk and strength to simply stop the blade as it slashed at him. His own attack would come if his right hand had found purchase on her clothing. Once again using size and strength to his advantage he would attempt to yank her forward and up slightly. Yanking her down would have allowed her chance to widen her stance and perhaps resist the attempt, yanking her up would be far easier.

If he was able to yank her up, he would press off with his right foot with blinding power and speed and he would try and send his knee up into the women’s ribs with more than enough force to shatter a grown-man’s ribs easily. But, against this opponent he wasn’t sure exactly what effect it would have, if any.

Should the attack land Kaiu would find herself being released and pushed away, possibly with enough force to send her tumbling from the glass platform. The blocks and attacks had forced Ryuku to stop gathering Qi as well, what he had amassed so far was still there, but blocking and countering required full concentration. His opponent had already proved she could teleport and he did want to be caught unaware by such a trap.

Of course, should he fail to even grab hold or his opponent had some trick to evade everything entirely then there would be no reason for him to stop actively pooling together his Qi, and he would renew with vigor, building up the energy he knew he would need for the technique that he planned.
Kill me? The First Mate heard her words, but the process in which it took to register was far too long. Why would a beautiful women want to kill the most handsome of pirates to grace the seas? His head cocked to the side and he regarded the women again.

“When you say kill, do you mean literally or this bedroom talk for … WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL!!?” The First Mate scrambled back in the sand, falling backwards onto his elbows as he tried to get away from the watery tendrils of water. “Ok… ok… I take it back, ye don’t have to buy me a drink!” He screeched as the water tendrils wrapped around the back of his legs.

“WATER KRAKEN!!” He shouted as he felt the pressure tighten around both of his legs. In a state of panic he reached a hand out towards the ship and what debris was in the water. He focused for a moment and willed the water under the debris to explode outward. The attack wasn’t overly accurate or powerful, but it would send several wooden boards, pieces of crates and waves of water against the attractive water lady. He was clearly panicking.
Just curious, how strong do you see the PC's being?

I have a pretty fleshed out character that may fit, he is a very skilled combatant, and has quite the history that could be molded easily to fit this worlds story provided its sand-boxy enough.

I could see him being neutral, a mercenary for hire, and then the story would dictate which side he sticks with.

Haha thanks.

He's a blast to RP.
Sounds good.

Thanks for keeping my updated.
The First Mate saw the women standing waist deep in the ocean, unmoving against the waves. Perhaps if The First Mate were a logical man he would have put two and two together and realized that the water had come from her. He stared at her from his seated position, he took in what he could see and damn was she gorgeous.

He dimly registered that her mouth was moving but for the life of him he couldn’t care enough to focus, she was luckily he had even looked at her face for a moment because his eyes quickly lingered down to sample the more savory parts of his body. He licked his lips, a challenge!

“Come now Love.” He said doing his best to brush the sand off of his body. He flashed his most charming smile, the same smile that had swooned wenches from coast to coast for years. “I’d love to lay my hands on ye again, but perhaps you should buy me a drink first?”

Clearly he hadn’t listened to a word Anna said, his mind had twisted the words and picked out specific ones, twisted them and then filled the gaps. “Of course as ye can see that my ship is well…” He gestured to it and frowned. “… It’s momentarily delayed. But don’t you worry, there are a whole fleet of ships ripe for the picking. Perhaps I’ll even name one after yerself?”

He smiled at his own cleverness, this soaking wet women was as good as his. He walked towards the water, a hand extended. “Come, let’s get you out of that dress and find something more suitable for you.”
