New people tend to think the Arena is much more complicated than it is. It isn't. We got you.

Step one. Go to the link and post in the OOC that you are new.

Step two. Post a character sheet to the same spot and ask for advice. Don't worry about format, we will help with that.

Step three. After you've gotten some advice and made some changes to your sheet (If they are needed) throw out a friendly challenge saying that you simply want to learn.

Ignore all the information about ranked matches right now, it isn't important. What's important is getting you a character that you're comfortable with and a few sparring matches under your belt.

I hope that breaks it down a little easier for you. I find that most new people tend to think we are some big secret club or are going to jump on their shit if they do something wrong. Which isn't the case, most people are very friendly and more than willing to hold your hand.

That's the thread to check out.

Look over some characters, ask your questions, make a real basic character and have the experts there look it over. Once you have a good grasp just ask someone for a friendly spar and dive in.
D'Angelo leaned up against one of the statues of an angel, his cowl pulled up and cloak wrapped around him as he stared ahead onto the path and then the many paths that it would become. There was no way to know exactly where each path would lead, it was a crap shoot. As far as he could discern one path was as good as the next. He clicked his tongue against his teeth and waited patiently, occasionally a gloved hand would appear and he would tear off a piece of dried meat or take a swig of water.

He was content to wait in relative peace, enjoying the calm before the storm as it were. Yet, something always had to ruin the moment, something always went wrong. It was so when D'Angelo heard someone step up on one of tables and take care of business. He had only meant to look over his shoulder and see what the commotion was, yet when his dark eyes came upon the horrendous act that Gonad was committing he simply couldn't look away.

"You are a disgusting Neanderthal." He said plainly and loud enough to be heard. Truthfully, D'Angelo didn't have the words to express the level of disrespect and complete idiocy he just witnessed, he could only give a stern look of a disapproval and then shake his head. He hoped that one died first.

Yea... that post is jacked up.

Of course it would be right in front of my face.

Now that I see it I remember looking it over once already.

... I'm so SMRT.
@FateWeaver

Maybe I simply missed it, but can you provide a link to the character sheet?
@FateWeaver D&D ... Dresden Files???

Well, have a look at my character sheets and you will find loads of D&D inspired characters.

Dresden... check out my character Edrik Pedrone, Wizard of the White Council!

Also, glad to have you aboard.
So, I decided on Nicoli.

Changed the sheet around a bit to fit with the rules. Removed a lot of items and lowered what he is normally carrying.
