That's a big pair of earrings.

I imagine they must be partially hollow.
Is this still accepting, I wonder? I haven't seen anywhere that stated otherwise, so forgive me for putting this here;

Name: Shinra (prefers to be called Shin)
Age: 17
Class: Warrior
Power: Shin possess a strange, but powerful ability to copy, store, and exert "motion" or "force", from the cutting motion of a blade, to the hammering force of a fist. To copy a motion, it is necessary that he becomes acted upon by said motion and survive. He is able to exert this motion from any and all points throughout his body without needing to move a muscle. Because of this, he can free himself from any restraints put on him unless they're made of strong iron, or if he is knocked out. Some types of motion will also generally have a range relative to the original motion; the length of a sword, for instance (in this case, Shin would exert the motion from his arms to maximize its range). Only motion that proved itself mobile originally (such as a bull in headlong charge) can Shin exert at a greater range. Because the physical object is not there, it is probably impossible to break through the motion when it is exerted continuously, which is why Shin almost always uses his power only to defend himself. He fears the power, even if it has yet to harm his self from use.

Weakness: A naive young man, he is still unfamiliar with the rules of the battlefield in spite of his honest desire to help people. He has never intentionally killed anyone, and is unlikely to start doing so anytime soon. Expect him to spare lives whenever he can, and mistake a merely incapacitated enemy for a dead one. Because of his background as a non-fighter, he has less than stellar physical ability, from strength to speed. He'll depend on blocking more than dodging, and is much slower to react than everybody else. Even if his ability comes off as potentially limitless, he is still only scraping the surface of it all, and is only capable of little more than punting enemies and objects away and cutting like with a normal sword. His sword skills aren't exactly sharpened, either. Socially, he suffers from a tendency to want to help anyone he deems needing of it, and is especially protective of women (The Dulcinea Effect). He is a little bit bashful, is overly kind, and tends to become attached quickly to people he meets, which has ended up hurting him before.

Background: In the beginning, a baby with a strange hair color was found by a troubled young woman in the husk of a wooden boat while she was walking along the beach one dawn. Wrapped in a set of clothing that were very fine to the touch, the young woman sold the beautiful cloth to a noble for a hefty sum of money, and was finally able to settle her own matters. Regarding the baby boy's discovery as a blessing, the young woman named him 'Shinra', which means 'divine silk', and took him in as her child. During those days, the land had yet to be embroiled by the terrors of war and the demons, so the boy was able to grow up on the good values taught to him by his mother and father, a young banker whom his mother had married in his second year. He lived a relatively normal childhood and was blessed with very little hardship (many thanks to his father's occupation), the only strange detail about him to be his golden hair. However his mother always regarded this as a sign that he was special, and wouldn't pass of letting her friends and neighbors know how she felt about it every time it came up in conversation. In all, his life was good up until war broke out when he was eight years old. Since that, his family is no longer around, and only remains a part of his life that Shin doesn't want to talk about. Skip forward a few years and Shin now worked as a cook and general worker in a restaurant in one of the more protected settlements at the age of fourteen, and he has been hiding a secret for the past two years. He continues to hide this secret from others where he lived, testing it out once in a while, but would continue regarding it as his greatest secret for the next three years. Out of a desire to explore this secret of his further and to help the less fortunate, Shin answers the call of a town in need. He has also heard that there's a possibility that a few others with special abilities would also be there...

Fun Fact: One notable trait of him is his insusceptibility to exceptionally strong consumables such as sake or wasabi. He's not sure if he's downed poison before, but it probably works the same way. Also, he has a phobia of rats, and is partly to thank for the restaurant that is known for being especially clean - all so he wouldn't have to encounter these filthy creatures.

...Yes, I know.

I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.
That's a scary image, especially since the first half of my name is "shin".

Hmm... Hiro would probably become something with wings, to suit his fish-eating image. Either that or a cat-thing. /shudder
Done! Tell me how it is, Benito.
So we get to choose any race we like? And I'm excited to imagine how the avatar-making sequence would go like.
June 6th 2114
Day

The bell rung, signifying the end of the day's final period. Students began flooding the hallways, looking forward to having the rest of the day either to themselves or with friends.

Takahashi Tatsuhiro was the former.

As much as his friends wanted him to string along for an after-school trip to the nearest row of shops, he was the resident gamer of their bunch, after all. Not a single bone in his body didn't know of what would be waiting for him at home. Virtually leaping inside, the boy took off towards his room after having his shoes come undone and yelling "I'm home!". He passed a reflection of himself sitting on the couch in the living room, except a few years older.

"Oh, Hiro, the mail came in for you today. Some package from--" the young man said, pulling away from the television.
"Got it, bro." replied Hiro without stopping. His brother turned back to the set, showing a few people debating the values of a next-generation, deep-immersion game, simply known by the name Morpheus Online, or MO. It was easy enough even before that - as he's already heard about MO - to guess what the package was about. There could only be two things in that package that he'd run all the way upstairs for, and the only place he's ever known Hiro to order something fish-related from is the local McDonald's joint.

Upstairs, Hiro opened his bedroom door and took a moment to let the sight of the large, dark-gray box on his bed sink in - it was that exciting a prospect to him. Imagine listening to the sounds and serenades of the game not flow out from his headphones - but flow and wrap all around him instead! All the sights, all the scents, all the new treats for the senses! Hiro walked inside, prompting the overhead fan to come to life, and closed the door behind him. The quality of the packaging alone was enough to convince him that all the pocket money he'd saved up for the helmet and the game was worth it.

A whole new world, once fiction, now fact.

Hiro's lips curved into an excited smile.
This is my style of fantasy, albeit with a twist.

Name: Takahashi Tatsuhiro
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Fish or Die!

Personality: Tatsuhiro prefers if it you'd call him 'Hiro', first and foremost. All new acquaintances will be subject to this statement unless they're his superior of any sort, they work for a public service, or if it's a girl and she makes him feel all weird inside (wink wink). Calling him anything else will always facilitate a glare from his cold, deathly gaze in the person's direction. Other than that, though, he's completely harmless, unless maybe if you're bad at karaoke and are proud of it. Tatsuhiro is not a troubled youth of any sort, but you wouldn't be able to guess that from his appearance alone. He rarely ever smiles or has his face light up (except for strewing it into an anxious mess in some situations), but inside he's sociable, caring, and generous. That's just how he is; he prefers to express himself through his words and actions. As a result of losing a friend in the accident that cost him his left arm, he puts family and friends above all else, even himself. His diet is 99% fish.

Likes: Cooking and eating fish, listening to game soundtracks, wrapping bandages over his prosthetic arm, pineapple-flavored ice-cream, people calling him 'Hiro'.
Dislikes: Making people worry about him, people who're bad at singing yet think otherwise, taking off his hat, looking at his prosthetic arm.
Fears: Losing any other one of his limbs and his "limbs", being considered useless and a "cripple".
Dream: To sail around the entire world and eat barbecued fish all day.
I think we can go two ways from here. Lemme try the first ' 3 '

Well, for how he gained physical form, that's thanks to the first person he met aboard the multidimensional vessel. The one agent that got killed? We'll call him Chekhov for now. He's a being that rules over dream, you can say. Sadly, because Chekhov was killed by that one Shadow Eternity member in that one attack, even Bass has yet to understand how he's "outside" of the net. Chekhov's role will be expanded upon in the storyline. And... so will the Shadow Eternity member, whom Bass fought to the toenail for a standstill. It left, but the blood-lust and level of challenge amazed Bass. He came to the conclusion that there was no worth in UMMA, if even a non-agent could stand up to something an agent could not. Instead, he set his sights on Shadow Eternity. There was great destruction to be doled out, he knew. However, if he acted alone, it could be harder to encounter these Shadow Eternity operatives, and even harder still if UMMA stood in his way. To make things easier, he decided that he would play along with the UMMA for now.

However, I want to say that these are the reasons only at first. There could be more reasons for why he agreed to joining UMMA, reasons rooted deeply within. We'll just have to see, eh?

On the administrative side, it has to be understood that Bass.EXE and Megaman.EXE (the blue bomber) are currently the two most powerful beings in their universe. Because his extraction took place immediately during the storyline of Megaman Battle Network 6, administration of the UMMA - could've - come to the conclusion that Megaman.EXE needed to be left to be able to handle problems back in his own universe. So they turned to Bass.EXE, whom must be mentioned to have not been created with his darkness, but rather, was forced to nurture it in order to survive after he was wrongly accused and betrayed.
benit149 said I didn't see that at all. All I saw was a neutral and detached guy with some decent qualities.

Ah, but 'crazy' shouldn't necessarily translate to 'full-on psycho'. Right now he's as you said, neutral and detached from normal society. But he's also quietly... unnerved, and confused, if only refusing to acknowledge it himself, hence the placeholder last sentence. He could become a full-on psycho, or he could become the good type of 'crazy'. Or he could break down altogether. It all stemmed from his past, and ultimately, will depend on how the story grows.

That's fine and good, but don't forget that this is an RP. They tend to have a bad habit of fizzling out quickly, so I hoping you don't exert too much creative energy in something that could potentially fail. As much as you want to make him a representation of going against the whole 'unique and complex character' thing, I still want him to be easy enough to understand. I want to read his bio and fully understand what he's going to be about in preparation for interacting my hot-blooded dude Melvin with Seth.

As I've probably shown, I can't help but pour out righteous amounts of stuff for the things I make. I like to believe that every RP can be special, and it's not like I lose anything anyway, the time was well spent on bettering character creation, after all. Also, rather than going against, it's more like poking at the idea with a stick for laughs and good times, then pulling up a chair and engaging in deep, philosophical debate with it afterwards. My apologies for having left out that important bit, I'll revise the personality part. Hopefully, I can maintain the hilarious prose. But we'll see. For now, just imagine him an intellectual, quiet sort of person with smart-ass tendencies and unfettered purveyor of brutal honesty where deserved, even towards kings and queens, no matter they be prophets or the Devil him/herself. Also, one last thing...

So let me get this straight about him. Seth has removed himself from the worst of society's issues and prejudices. He has light involvement with Zenterr's military and those folks who look past simple prejudices, preferring to see the bigger picture. But since society as a whole fails to see the 'big picture' that Seth sees, he's isolated himself from the prattle and is slowly going crazy from the world's ignorance, unable to find many like-minded people who share his view.

Close, but not quite. I realized the segment of my post that you quoted missed one 'not', where it was repeated. I don't know how that happened, but in my original post it was repeated intentionally. I meant to say he's no Hannibal Lecter, and is just simple-minded enough for people to be able to control him.

That's all for now, and thanks for the detailed response. I'll continue working on him.
