Right now I check in randomly at all hours of the day and night, because I don't sleep love writing. So I'm easy to get ahold of if you need to.

As long as there's some kind of reason why he can do that, then I'd be okay with it. Like, his unique situation allows him to infuse Divinare more easily than most people would be able to. I'm trying to keep it to where magic that directly affects the human body is difficult to use, just to keep characters from being easily able to dispatch human opponents.

Right now I'm just waiting for one or two more characters before starting. I've got the Band's first mission pretty much layed out.
I've decided to do away with the occupation choices; all characters will be Band members. Since they're the primary focus of the story anyway. The OP and character template has been edited to reflect this. I hate having to go back and change stuff but this will keep things more focused. Better to work the kinks out now than later.
Ah, alright then.
Would you be willing to accept another character at this point? If you're in the middle of something or about to start a plot point, I can wait. Also, is the Stand name Schizoid Man available?

EDIT: I'll go ahead and post my character in case it gets accepted, just to save time.

Name: Odest Tomada

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Appearance: A darker-skinned man, he is tall and broad-shouldered but not particularly muscular. His face has several stress lines and his brown eyes have constant black marks underneath them. He keeps his black hair in a small ponytail. Odest wears a navy blue suit coat over a black button-up shirt (though he refuses to wear a tie) and navy blue dress pants with shiny jet black shoes. Around his neck is a simple chain necklace with a charm of the greek letter epsilon at the end.

Stand name: Schizoid Man

Stand ability: Schizoid Man has the ability to shoot small thin silver needles from the palms of its hands. When one of these needles pierces a living being, Schizoid Man can ‘feel’ one of that thing’s 5 senses. This allows Odest to see through someone else’s eyes, hear through their ears, or experience whatever they’re tasting, touching or smelling. Every needle that is inserted into the same being allows an additional sense to be felt. Schizoid Man can also cause a sense to be shared between multiple living beings by piercing each of them with a needle which could, for example, cause multiple people to feel the pain that only one of them is actually experiencing. Odest can share his senses with someone else using the same method. Barring its special ability, Schizoid Man is also decent at punching.

Stand appearance: Schizoid Man is a thin-limbed robotic humanoid Stand. The majority of its body covered in a glistening crimson sheen, except for its hands and feet which are jet black with horizontal silver stripes. The Stand’s face is covered with a black mask shaped like a stylized epsilon symbol, which conceals all but its left eye.

Weapon: A single brass knuckle.

Personality: Odest characterizes himself as a ‘meddler’, or someone who will go out of his way to help his fellow man. He enjoys meeting and getting to know new people, but has difficulty maintaining friendships for very long; he feels as though ‘his work is done’ when the people he meets don’t have any more problems for him to solve. He is very inwardly drawn and thoughtful, and he strongly believes in fate. He is somewhat world-weary, and often comes across as ‘tired’ to other people, but is constantly trying to improve his outlook on life and assist whoever he can. He is skilled at hiding his negative thoughts and can usually remain stable and amicable in normal day to day life, but he has a tendency to crack under particularly stressful situations.

Bio: Odest is currently slowly traversing the world in an attempt to better the world around him and to distance himself from his younger years, which were marked by frequent existential crises and long bouts of depression. Odest and his twin brother were both born with congenital heart defects. Odest has an atrial septal defect, which causes him frequent shortness of breath after physical activity and occasional chest pains. His brother was born with a much worse heart problem and died at a young age. This marked the beginning of Odest’s belief in fate, and the death of his brother along with having to live with a physical abnormality that he couldn’t have prevented caused him severe emotional distress for many years. He has since greatly improved his mental health through many rounds of psychotherapy and medication. Odest refuses to get treatment for his septal defect, feeling that ‘it wouldn’t be fair to his brother.’

Alrighty, I can explain in better detail:

The general rule of manipulating divinare is that anything that contains it has its own ‘rhythm’. This rhythm is different for every individual source. Anyone who wants to use the divinare in, let’s say a flower, must feel its rhythm and relate it to their own internal rhythm. For example, if someone wanted to channel the divinare inside that flower, they would need allow the flower’s rhythm to overcome their own, essentially surrendering their own source of divinare to that of the flower’s. This agitates and releases the magical potential of the flower, which could cause it to shoot its thorns out at high speeds, or maybe release whatever nectar or toxins that are in it. If one wanted to bind that divinare instead, they would need to overpower the flower’s rhythm with their own. This would let someone impose their will over the flower, letting them control its movements and sometimes strengthen it, maybe causing its roots to shoot out of the ground and entangle someone. Lastly, merging requires the person to perfectly synchronize their rhythm with that of the flower, a far more difficult task than the other two methods. Doing so would allow one to fuse with the flower, becoming one with its body and mind, which could be useful for hiding from someone or directly utilizing anything inside the flower, such as the mechanisms required for photosynthesis.

The rhythm of any human being or animal is much more complex than that of something found in nature, and requires far more concentration to feel and use. This means that magic that directly manipulates or alters the human body is much more difficult than most other types of magic.

To summarize, the levels of difficulty for divinare manipulation go like this: Channeling is easier than binding, which is far easier than merging. Using divinare found in artificial sources such as magical weapons or rings is easier than using divinare found in nature. However, artificial sources usually have a much more limited pool to draw from, and some of them are designed as one-time use items, meaning that their divinare never replenishes itself once depleted. It is harder to use divinare from lower creatures like beasts than nature, and human beings are the single hardest source to utilize.

There are other types of divinare usage that don’t fall into the aforementioned three categories, but the only one I’ve solidified so far is healing magic. Healing uses a principle called distillation, which requires both channeling and binding divinare from specific sources. The divinare is channeled to such a high degree that there is no trace of ‘rhythm’ left in it, meaning that its basically raw magical energy that isn’t bound to its original source at all. This raw energy dissipates very quickly however, so it must then be rapidly bound to a wound in order for it to have any healing properties. Distillation is a more advanced technique and usually requires specialized training to use.

Hopefully this will help and isn't TMI this early on. I'll clean it up some and edit it into the OP.

As far as Solace goes, the magical ability required to bind a human soul to something would be enormous, meaning that whoever did that to him would have to be one of the most powerful magic users in the world. Such a thing would be a very rare phenomenon, I think. I hadn't thought of a self-repairing weapon, but we can say that its just a really well made magical weapon with a larger pool of divinare than usual.
Looking back at the OP, I've been wondering if I should go ahead and explain how Divinare works in more detail before the story starts. I'm not sure if that would help or just be too much information this early on. I've got an explanation typed up if people want it.
Will do.

Looks good, PhantomLink! Please repost your character in the character tab.
I hadn't thought about it, but I guess people can post their character idea here first, and then I can give them the go-ahead to repost it in the other tab.

And thanks for letting me know Pathfinder. Hope you enjoy your trip.
