HELP WANTED!

(Verified Photo for Proof)

I imagine you've some knowledge of the mystic arts. If you've stumbled upon this ad by mere coincidence, the enchantment spells coded into this posting will now erase your recollection of ever reading it. Or do they curse you with a psilocybin shroom spell from the Mandala dimension nowadays? I'm not quite up to date on the Goblin Net's flagging system.

Any who...

I will cut to the chase. My name is Wong, and we're in need of help. The lay lines of magic on earth are in a current state of flux (well, they always are, but more so now than ever). The Sorcerer Supreme currently has his hands tied with a vast, near-infinite amount of timelines, dimensions, and alternate realities. Therefore, experienced practitioners are needed to keep earth from unraveling itself a billion times over. Lack the proper twirl of a wand spinner do you? Well, you're in luck. Archivists, cleaners, and sorters of magic consortiums, seldom miffed by the idiosyncrasies of the utmost weird, are urged to apply. Grand compensation awaits for those who fulfill our requests. Time is of the essence! Please submit your resume in person at:

177a Bleecker St, New York, NY 10012.

OOC:
Posted from my 1 x 1 int check. As you may have guessed, Doctor Strange will be an NPC. I'll most likely be an OC or Marvel character - I haven't decided yet. I'm looking for anyone creative enough to have some magic-filled fun within the Marvel arena. It'll be a mix of Ghostbusters meets Scooby Doo, maybe a little Rick and Morty, and Indiana Jones on the side. Emphasis on quality > quantity. Small group or 1 x 1.

Name: Vizagi "Vizzy" or "Viz" Hertziko
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Race: "Plugs", short for Pluthigorians.

Magic:
Vizzy's skill level as a Technomancer ranges from omega hacker to sideshow illusionist. He can manipulate almost anything and everything electronic, no matter how foreign the code, how advanced the system is, or how complicated its circuitry can be. Most of these complexities are bypassed through his ability to soothe-speak with machines. Directly overriding systems is another option, but it often requires a lot more energy with a much shorter duration of control.

Planet of birth: Uni'Sho-Bon - USB for short.

Personality:
Viz is an even keeled youth with an overly expressive nature. He's a curious mind with no fear of consequences or repercussions. He's all about figuring out how things tick, often playing the devil's advocate just to gauge reactions. Not a darling socialite by any means. Viz is often crude around the edges in a conversation, but charming enough to hold a tolerable discussion with most races.

Opinion about 'Ace' and the other races:
Like most Pluthigorians, Viz is not very opinionated about the galactic community, its inter-system politics, or its cloister of cultures, religions, and beliefs. He gravitates towards carefree individuals, those whose identities aren't tied down to any one belief system. He's mainly interested in races with dramatically different pop cultures, particularly in film, music, video games, and art.

Family history:
The Hertziko family is a relatively known name in USB. They come from a long line of philosophers, poets, and musicians. While Plugs in general are an understanding race, at the dawn of their technological convergence stood a riveting debate that would've divided most societies. In the end, everyone agreed that convergence was a free choice. Those that did not assimilate wouldn't be persecuted for their beliefs, but honestly, after they saw how much fun people were having, everyone eventually converted. A society that achieved imperfect harmony, further bonded through technomancy, jump started a renaissance where technology and artistic value became symbiotic.

Lutz counted his inventory, checked his orders, and surveyed the items he finished repairing before he gave himself a break. The sun was bright in the blue summer sky. The dwarf clicked his tongue as he spotted dark clouds from the east slowly trailing its way toward Loudwater.

"Hope it doesn't rain too hard on Scarlet." He whistled, eyes fixed on the large mountain hovering over the village. He thought about tagging along one of the climbing tours today to get in on some hot spring action but thought against it as he glanced back at the storm clouds. Just then he spotted Linwood's daughter carrying a basket of produce and remembered he had a batch of tools he had to give back to him. Lutz drank the murky coffee in his mug then rummaged through the cupboards above his work station until he pulled out a small duffel bag. Just then, a courier came running through the entrance gate.

"Mayor's residents?" The young lad said. Lutz saw there was some panic in the messenger's eyes. He pointed at the large blue manor in the distance, but then course corrected for the town hall.

"Mayor Livingstone is at his office in the town hall. Red roof with the windmill."

The courier nodded, then paced up the pathway, clutching his messenger bag like his life depended on it. Lutz shrugged, motioning towards The Golden Arrow. He entered through the entrance way, nodding to some of the tourists hanging about the lobby, then waved at Elias.

"Mornin' Eli" Lutz smiled, swinging the duffel bag full of tools over to the man. "I forgot to get this back to ya sooner. They're all refastened, sharpened, and good fer whatever needs fixin'."

Lutz then spotted Eryn, and when she wasn't busy with whatever chores her father had her doing, he whistled for her attention.

"Eryn!" He smiled. She was beautiful as always, a near spitting image of her mother. "You climbin up Scarlet today? I was think'n about goin' up myself for a quick hot spring dip, but storm clouds are comin in pretty quick from the east..."

Faith was a sight for sore eyes. Upon spotting her in her bulky armor, he breathed a sigh of relief and immediately motion towards her as they reconvened at the bar.

"I'll take whatever you have that's strong when you get a chance," she said.

"Good luck with that." Koruk chimed in, snorting at the barmaid. "They've got nothin but cat piss on tap."

The orc's vulgarity and overall countenance was like a drastic contrast compared to the knightly Faith dawning a holy symbol to match. You'd likely see such a pairing on the battlefield with swords pointed at each others throats, not shoulder-to-shoulder at The Whirling Sprite. Patron's had already given Koruk the stink eye since his arrival, and it was becoming even more apparent with his associate by his side.

"So, partner. How goes it?" Koruk asked Faith.

Loudwater Village is anything but loud; That is, of course, when Sir Henry Potnard is not singing. In fact, it's quite serene on top of a hillock which lives under the shadow of the rocky bluffs of Scarlet Heights. Even the northwestern waterfall connected to Libol River doesn't make much noise. The red-roofed building with a non-working windmill is the town hall. On its left is the Blue Manor where Loudwater's Mayor Stuart Livingstone stays with his 2nd wife and five children. There are a total of 10 families that live in the village; Half of them are human, and most of the other half are elvish. The last portion of Loudwater's demographic is Lutz Shatterhelm, who is the only dwarf in the village.

He sits before the furnace outside his humble quarters just twenty feet away from the town entrance, shaping heated steel with powerful hammer blows to signify the start of a new day.

You'd think with a name like Shatterhelm that he'd make for a shoddy blacksmith, but Lutz is a renown repairman of weapons, armor, and farming tools in the region. His work alone rakes in a sizable profit for Loudwater, whose economy is driven mainly by farming, hunting, and most recently, tourism. The Satchel family have put their generational passion for mountaineering to good use by turning Scarlet Heights into a tourist attraction. They offer climbing tours all the way to the top where hot springs and a spirits vendor await them.

The Zotnart family's roosters hollered in the distance. By the time Lutz finishes smithing the broadsword, his elf neighbor Liliatnia will greet him with a bread roll from her first batch, fresh from the oven. They will playfully exchange Loudwater gossip until Henry Potnard frolics over to her shop. Mr. Potnard will then order a dozen sweet rolls and proceed to try and woo Liliatnia with another poorly written ballad. Lutz, along with everyone else in the village, will hear the bard's lamentation and will know that today is in fact another day in Loudwater.
Edit
The Whirling Sprite was a brightly lit tavern with colorful wallpaper and flowery paintings. A heavy scent of lilacs and stuffy potpourris saturated the air. An Elven harpist strummed pretentiously at the foyer centered near the entrance. Koruk fought back the urge to burn this ghastly place into the ground. He turned to his lone wine glass and sought escape from his nauseously, dainty surroundings. The wine appeared light and bubbly, swathing about in some kind of lavender fructose. Koruk drained its contents and instantly regretted it. He spat the entirety of it back into his glass and growled.

"Ale!?" He called out. "Does this tavern possess such a normalcy?"

The condescension felt heavy as patron eyes burned lasers his direction. Koruk simply grunted. Where the hell is everyone? By everyone, the orc meant his fellow cohort and the anonymous client with a supposedly bountiful proposition, yet neither have yet to make an appearance.

"If this turns out to be some bumblin' prank then by Blacktongue's will, I'll send this giant fairy latrine to the under realm." Koruk randomly told the passing barmaid, who, confused, still shuddered at his words, then shuddered even more at the back-washed wine swathing in the glass in front of him.

"I'll see if I can get you some mud water out back." The barmaid passive-aggressively sighed, scooping up his glass.

"That would be an improvement." Koruk chortled.
