Name: Thomas "Kingsblood" Morgan
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Race: 'Half-Elf'
Appearance: Thomas has very handsome features, cutting a very nice figure, betraying his older age, making him appear closer to 20. Possessing an athletic build, it is obvious that Thomas is very fit and suited for his job. Thomas has brown hair, long and burly, that partially hangs in his face. The hair partially obscures his visions most of the time, due to it's length, which provokes Thomas to hurriedly push it out of his face. Thomas' eyes are color a very bright blue, which set against his brown hair and fair skin make them appear even brighter. Thomas possesses no facial hair whatsoever, and appears to be unable to grow any either. This can be attributed to his Elven bloodline. Thomas stands about 6'2'', which combined with his muscular figure, leads him to pose a very authoritative air about him. His facial features are not soft by any means. His skin seems rough, judged by looking at it, as if it was carved from the bark of a tree. Although, when touched, the skin is silk smooth, and is removed from any type of hair.
Clothing: As part of the Lifeguard of the king, Thomas typically wears the standard uniform of the Lifeguard most of the time. In his down time, in what little he has, Thomas opts to wear clothes fit for his heritage. Tight fitting tunic, and pants, both colored brown and emblazoned with the sigil of his family, a white tree with no leaves on it's branches. The sigil is small on his pants, positioning itself on the upper right part of his pants. The sigil on his tunic remains right above his heart, about 3 inches wide, and 3 inches long in size. Thomas also has taken to wearing the customary cloak when out of uniform, which seems popular with the people in Estovet. The cloak is faded light blue, with many mud stains, and white marks, down the length of it.
Weaponry: Instead of opting for the traditional weapons of the Lifeguard, Thomas instead uses his family's ancestral Elven sword, made of extremely sharp steel. The blade, while possesses the qualities of steel, is said to have it's own magical properties. The sword is a regular sized long sword, possessing a light blue hilt, a brown leather handle, and a blue diamond pommel. The blade of the sword is the most special thing about it. The blade is pale, like milk, and shines as bright as any light when exposed to the sun. Despite it's length, the sword is extremely light, operating almost like a feather in the hand of the wielder. In runes of the long forgotten civilizations of the Elves, is written the name of the sword; Harmony. The sword is said to be more than 8000 years old, passed down from generation to generation in the Morgan family. Due to be taught in the style of sword-and-free style of combat, Thomas opts to have a free hand with fighting with his sword, allowing him to more elaborate flourishes, and thrusts, while keeping his balance, an art learned from the Elves called 'Light Fighting'. The sword resides in a sheath, that is tied tight around Thomas' waist at all times, almost never without it. The sheath is pure black, made of leather, with a white trim to the sheath. Small blue diamonds embedded down the centre of the sheath cause it to shine slightly. Thomas was given the sword at the age of 8, and was trained with it by a Master-of-Arms until he was nearly 23 years old, leaving him extremely skilled in the art of swordplay.
Personality: Due to his upbringing, which tried to emulate Elven upbringing, Thomas is extremely honorable and honest, which can hurt him sometimes. Thomas was taught to always tell the truth, and always treat others as equals, and treat those above you as if they were walking Gods. This has led to Thomas being a extremely reliable Lifeguard member. Thomas' honor defines his life, and all his actions, never leaving a moment where Thomas isn't 'on duty'. Thomas also has learned to be extremely just, following laws often to the dot, despite circumstance.
History: Thomas grew up in a far away land called the Alinor, said to be the ancient home of the Elves. The land was bountiful, lush, and beautiful. Unfortunately, it was also in heavy turmoil. The Morgan family ruled over the land of Alinor, which approached the size of Estovet in sheer size, but was actually only partially populated. The Morgan Family traces it's lineage back to the old civilizations of the Elves, claiming to have married and sire children with the Elves, leading them to call themselves 'Half-Elves'. Thomas' father, Archibald the Last Elf, was a man of extreme honor and ruled over the land of Alinor. While Archibald's nickname was 'The Last Elf' it referred more to his style of rule and lifestyle, than bloodline. In truth, Archibald had no more elf blood than Thomas. Archibald led the Royal forces in a destructive civil war against the lords of Alinor, that lasted nearly 20 years. Thomas was born in the final years of the civil war, which saw Archibald execute many of the rebel leaders, using the traditional form of Elven execution know as 'The Eagle', The Eagle involved cutting the ribs of the victim by the spine, breaking them so they resembled wings, and then pulling the victim’s lungs out through the opening. Salt would then be dry-rubbed on the wound. This led to Archi being labeled as a tyrant and cruel ruler. Vassals of the king openly plotted his assassination, while Archi comfortably sat on his throne. When Thomas was 15, his father named him his personal bodyguard, which placed Thomas in the view of Archibald's day-to-day affairs. Thomas witnessed absolute horror, as he watched prisoners treated to The Eagle treatment hang above Lily Palace, the seat of King Archibald. Thomas remembered his upbringing, and dutifully served his father. When Thomas was 21, civil war once again broke out in Alinor. Thomas was left to rule Lily Palace, as Archibald went off to fight the war. This war was shorter, lasting only two years, and leaving half the country on fire. During Thomas' regency, he had time to ponder his father's sins. Soon, Archibald returned to the Palace, done with the civil war. As he walked into the King's Hall, Thomas sat upon the throne. As Archibald approached the throne, Thomas stood up and hugged his father, congratulating him on his victory, shortly before stabbing his father in the heart with a hidden dagger. Archibald collapsed, dying. Thomas then fled the kingdom, leaving it in the hands of the Master-at-Arms. Thomas took Harmony, along with a small purse of gold, and left for a far away land he had heard of in stories, called Estovet. Thomas arrived at Keilaudrin, and instantly began making a name for himself, by participating in tournaments, winning the majority of them. By the time he was 25, after winning multiple tournaments, Thomas swore an oath to the King, and took up membership of the Lifeguard. Thomas has ignored his past life, preferring to forget about it. One thing, sticks with him from his old home, though, and that is his families' motto; Just and Loyal.
