<Snipped quote by hatakekuro>

The way I look at battles, is it's a try on the part of both parties. Winner is whoever wins a coin toss or something IRL.

That's one way to take all the fun out of it.
Lux Harken

The Rune Knights' questions were all expected, this was a crime scene of massive proportions after all. Lux answered what he could and was shortly released to go about his business.

Luckily for him the location with the job board was nearby. Five minutes later and he had the poster for the new job in hand. A fairly substantial one as well, Lux tried to go for the large jobs when he could.

So despite the rather unplanned for distraction Lux was shortly back at the hotel he and Jason had been residing in. They still had the room for the rest of the day and chances were good that his companion was still there.
@Crimson Raven
Is anyone gonna answer Ferrin's question?
Cody was too overwhelmed...James ignored you. That leaves Silvan's guy I guess XD

Ferrin walked over to all the people who were at the inner dome. Considering that Lux was always heading away from said dome and is only going to need to pause for a bit to answer the Rune Knights' questions I think it is safe to say that he is not part of that group.
@Expolar

So since I'm not getting Lux involved in anything else in that area should I just say that he answered the Rune Knights' questions and was let go?
It depends on the geography of the area that the city is located in but no matter what the vast majority of that mile is going to be bedrock.

I thought they were just in the sewers under the city or something. Pulling a Fairy Tail universe wizard through a street or layer of rock I can totally see. Pulling a beginner wizard through a noticable portion of the planet's upper layer will give you a hunk of meat. And that's leaving out how difficult such a feat would be in the first place.
@ZarkunDidn't know about the magic senses, in which case, makes more than enough sense that he'd know that two people are down there, and if Ferrin gives his two cents on the matter, he can piece enough together to see that he needs to intervene. Still will take time to get there(a mile or 3/4 of a mile seem like a good estimate) unless drastic action is taken.

*blink*

Nidhogg tunneled through a mile of solid rock in less then ten minutes, has apparently been feeding enough necrotic energy down there to form some hydra thingy and then pulled Dawn down through roughly that same mile of solid rock.

Ehem.

wat.
Beryl Harken-B-The End of a Man

The man deserved to die after all he had done. Countless crimes had been committed by him and his organization. He had even admitted that there were other Faunus being held in the building they were targeting.

But Napoli had told her to not kill the piece of filth and she had no desire to bring the focus of the police down on her team more than it was already going to be.

Still she waited. She waited untill just before the wound became truly life threatening before stopping the flow of blood with her semblance. Demetrius would be too weak to do anything even if he regained his mental faculties in the near future. And while Beryl was not a proper doctor she doubted that such extensive loss of blood would be good for a physicaly active life in the future, especially at such an advanced age.

After a quick stop by the mafia don to add a tourniquet, rope and remove his knife, the otter Faunus made her way over to her downed teammate.

"You OK?" She asked, crouching over Vega.
Beryl Harken-B-Psychoooooooo

But I like my gaze.

Once more there was no outward answer to the old man's ranting. Somehow he had managed to miss seeing her completely in his earlier enraged stab.

She rose to her feet as he stalked away, silently lifting Stream from the ground with a thin coating of water. It slid through the air like a serpent through a lake. Maneuvering until it was on the mafia don's maimed side before striking. Coming from a completely different direction from that of where Beryl stood, it darted forward in an attempt to wrap around Demetrius' leg and repeat what had happened to his arm.
Beryl Harken- B- Its Only a Flesh Wound

I'm starting to get an idea you old psycho.

Again she said nothing out loud. The most recent events were major clues as to the exact nature of his semblance but she was still taking no chances.

All in all she was pretty calm as she looked at the gore in front of her. It may have had something to do with her previous fights with gangsters in the city. Whatever the case her actions were not slowed in the slightest.

Space was her ally in this fight. Knives and a fairly reactionary semblance made for a bad matchup with an extending whip-sword. Beryl slid backwards on the ice. If her guess was right the fire charge that was next in her weapon would have little effect on the man himself.

There was something else she could target though.

She repeated her previous move, for the most part. Her fire charge activated and the otter faunus spun in the opposite direction of last time. The flaming blades swept across the icy ground, melting then boiling away the cold layer. The steam from it was joined by more as she added a stream of water down the blade.

The end result was that the area was bathed in very warm but still survivable steam. It would not last long in a place like this but until then sight in the area was restricted to a few feet. Beryl was still perfectly capable of locating Demetrius. Both through his displacement of the steam and the water in his body.

let's see if he can say the same. She thought as she silently crouched down. Still able to dodge but removing the majority of herself from her last known location.

Lux Harken- Area Formerly Known As The Bone Dome

Lux was already far enough from the targeted mages that he only needed to dodge a few pieces of flying building, as opposed to most of a building and a giant claw made out of pure darkness. Leaping to the top of a nearby building got out of the way of most of it and allowed him an unobstructed view of the situation.

There was a new mage in the fight. A light user and a pretty powerful one at that if the bonfire of power radiating from him said anything. It seemed that the man was blasting holes in both the monster and the dome while shouting for others to start attacking the monster as well.

While that would normally be common sense, Lux had his doubts about the ability of this particular group of mages to work together. It seemed like they had all headed off after other prey as soon as it showed up and he had seen no signs of attempted teamwork so far.

Whatever the case his course of action was clear.

A slight modification to a spell in his mind and the young man was ready. Raising his now reformed blade to the sky he called out the name of the move.

"Starfall!'

The pieces of magic he had sent to hover over the battlefield earlier began to move. As one they shot down towards the huge shadow monster. For the most part aimed at it's right arm they would detonate on impact. Each one bursting into a globe of light that would banish the darkness and spread purification energy into the surrounding spell-shadow.
