I don't usually credit the artist but that's half because I tend to not even know who said artist is.

It's certainly more polite to put those four extra words in there though.
@NarayanK

As much as I would love to have some art for Beryl, don't feel like you need to swamp yourself just to please us.

A thoughtful look fell across the light mage's face. They certainly had a point, a sizable paycheck split four ways (or two, it depended on how each team divided their share) was reasonably fair. Add two more people to the equation and things started getting tight.

"What about a two job contract?" He said after a moment. "I think we've all come to realize that jobs are a bit scarce in this city at the moment. What with the crowds of mages flooding the place. I suggest that we cooperate together on this job and then, once in a place somewhat less thin on jobs we pick up another to make up the difference."

What followed was accompanied by a wry smile and an awkward rub to the back of his head.

"Normally I would just let you have the job but our communal money pouch ran out this morning and all the other quests I could find pay pocket change."
Lux Harken

Lux raised an eyebrow at that. As far as he was aware there were no laws about the amount of people who could take a job. Anyone could accept if the poster was still up.

Not that he wanted sole rights to the job himself either.

"Mind sharing?" He asked, "It's a pretty big paycheck. I'm sure we can find a way to split it evenly."
@Natsume Honnaji

It would almost be like somebody being able to control fire easily beating Natsu...

Oh wait.

Fairy Tail is all about punching your way through logic and supposed weaknesses.

"Hah. If you put any less strain on your heart it would stop from sheer boredom." Came the reply. "In the interests of stopping that from happening and obtaining enough traveling funds for the immediate future the job I chose is a little on the big side. Seems some bandits don't want a bridge built. Our job is to make sure they stop bothering the construction workers."

His gaze wandered to the rest of the group that had gathered in the hallway. The unfocused stare of the girl Jason had been talking to hinted at a rather significant disability. Although from the look on her face she hardly let it get her down.

Poking her was a gentle looking...guy? Girl? Whatever the case s/he seemed to be friends of the blind girl.

And then there was...ah, um. Well, a bathrobed beauty. There was a strength in her stance and a steadyness in her eyes that was absolutely entrancing.

"Hi."
Nice work there.

"You were crumpled up over here, not many other people around to help out." Come the wry reply as Beryl took a step back to give her teammate some room. "Napoli took off for the back of the place while we distracted the Don and Gratia headed inside before he showed up, remember?"

It was possible that the other girl had suffered a concussion when she was sent flying earlier. An unfortunate situation to be sure. There was no way that Beryl was taking her into a combat zone like that.

She glanced over at the fallen Demetrius. He was no danger in his current condition. Looking back at her teammate the otter Faunus made a decision.

"Hide him somewhere and then take cover yourself. Don't worry, he can barely stay conscious much less move. While you do that I'm going to head after Napoli. If things start exploding feel free to ditch the Don and come after us."

And now to hope that nothing explodes. She thought as she quickly made her way to where Napoli had headed off to.

Right about then Lux turned the corner. A smile caused his lips to twitch upward as he saw Jason actually up and...sort of talking with other people. With nothing to force him out of bed it was entirely possible for his traveling companion to still be sleeping despite the late hour.

The light mage waved in greeting as he made his way towards the group. With a polite nod to everybody else he directed his attention to Jason, a hint of a smile still on his face.

"Yo sleepyhead. I got us a job." He said, holding up the poster he had taken from the job board. "No need to worry about completely wasting away into a shadow."
You can hardly call it a win when its all decided by a random number generator.
