What are the gun laws of this Japan like? I feel like the presence of ritual technology might result in them being somewhat different from real life.
Profile coming along slowly but surely, expect brainiac older sister character soon.

As far as the enforced 3rd person thing going on. All I can really say is that it's a terrible idea idea. Every player has their own style of writing and in many cases a character works best when being played differently than the norm.

An RPG is a collection of people getting together to write and have fun. It's not a book with a singular author and form. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact it is a good thing. It helps people grow as writers.

I know for a fact that Crimmy has the skills to pull off first person. And I can guarantee that if you don't automatically look for everything wrong with it you will also be able to enjoy reading first person.

Expand those horizons.
I might end up having to post my profile after the game starts. I'm not the fastest at coming up with them at the best of times and this one is particularly tricky.

Also, a bit of clarification. Only the students take part in the fights, right? I'd normally just assume that but one or two of the profiles have made me question it.
Can confirm, electrical shocks are extremely painful.

This looks pretty interesting. Good chance I'll join.
I've always thought that collabs work best for cutscene like segments. Important scenes that can be read all at once and happen in a contained environment, so to speak.

Right now it's like an author circle where everybody gets together once a month to show their latest short story.
<Snipped quote by Crimson Raven>

Part of me felt like having Grane offer Ferrin to join the ranks of the Magic Council. But he only just met him for one day and just heard reports of his contribution to the battle in the dome. So it felt a bit too soon to ask.

Asking somebody to join the ruling council of a nation seems like the kind of thing you only do after extensive background, skill and morality tests. Possibly over an extended period of time.
Lux Harken

Lux smiled as he followed the rest of the group. He appreciated the freedom that traveling with just Jason granted, but the light mage still enjoyed spending time with other people. The next two jobs should be fun ones.

"I'll take a pear smoothy, if you don't mind." Came the polite response to the (fe?)male cook's question. He would have to clear that up soon. This was getting confusing.
Lux Harken

At the mention of food Lux's fave lit up. The earlier fight had left him feeling a little peckish.

"That sounds wonderful. I would love to have something to eat before we hit the road."

Jason had been pretty quiet for a few minutes now.

@Ebonsquire

I would suggest having your character start off either having only just joined your chosen guild or having them join IC.
Lux Harken

The look of embarrassment changed to one of relief. He held out one hand to the bathrobed knight and spoke. The relief on his face working its way into his voice.

"Thank you. I was starting to worry that we would have to tighten our belts on the way out of here."

Jason just might actually fade away if that happened.

"By the way, my name is Lux Harken. Do you mind if I ask yours?"
