Beryl Harken

"Float like what?" Came the confused reply. She stared at Luke for a couple seconds before a look of understanding appeared on her face.

"Oh, ummm. Probably my semblance." She said, a slightly embarrassed blush appearing. "I can detect and control the water around me. It tends to kick in when I swim whether or not I mean to. It's like...it's like walking or picking something up with a hand. You don't tell your body to do it, it just does. Semblances are an extension of the soul and when I'm swimming and I can just...feel the water, all of it, it's like I am the water."

As she had spoken one of her hands dropped from the edge of the pool and into the water. Beryl stared at it, feeling the ever so slight movements of the water in the pool before pushing outward. The motion causing its own current that rippled out from the young Faunus.

"It's hard to explain to other people. Unless they have a similar semblance to mine most people just lack the proper frame of reference."

"Mmmmmm, the water feels like it's been sitting uncovered in the sun all day. Nice and warm.

As Luke settled down nearby, Beryl idly twitched her tail a couple times and stretched her legs out behind her. She was almost laying in the water as if it were a bed our couch.

"I don't think it counts as cutting if you heal faster than you can cut." Came her reply, accompanied by it's own languid chuckle.

Luke's comment broke through Beryl's highly suspicious and overprotective train of thought. Images of Dodici remnant revenge plots and repeats of Bianca's previous kidnapping were momentarily laid to rest as a swish of her tail turned the otter Faunus around to smile up at her friend.

"It would be hard to do a much better job without going to the actual Beacon pool." She said with a slight giggle. "Although, if you would be OK with it, I would still like to go swimming there with you some time. I tend to go a little stircrazy if I don't find somewhere to swim at least once a week."

As she was speaking, Beryl had swum over to the side of the pool and was now resting her chin and arms on the rim, head tilted slightly to allow her a better view of Luke.
Luke can never catch a break can he?
And here Beryl had yet to start actively disliking her psycho berserker barb wire encased soul sucking vampire teammate.

Oh well, time to pull out the heavy duty Anti-Villainy Guidance Tools.
If you wanted less of a starfish look I would suggest removing the two bits of hair floating on either side of her face.

Whatever the case I'm going to save it to about three different places to make sure I never lose that picture.
Yuuuuuuuuus.
As ever I am in awe of your drawing speed. That's a very good picture for just ten minutes.

...

Now I want to see a Naryan rendition of the end of my last post.
