Not into whips and chains, but salt in my wounds get me going.
How'd I post in the wrong category. Swear to God I was in OOC.

Herik saw the Outsider's attack coming, his lion was quick to jump in front of him and take the brunt of it, but he still flew out the broken roof high the air. Lion got under him and hit the ground first. It slowed his momentum, he landed on his right side in the dirt several feet from their meeting spot. It could have been worse, like death, but he had to get up. Maya was left alone in there with the thing. He stood, his leg almost buckled from under him. He placed his hand on lion for support.

"I should probably give you a name, huh." He petted its mane, his companion yawned. "How about Asta? It's close to my mother's name."

He walked as fast as he could back to battle just to see Madison seal Outsider away. It was done then. Good. FBI came back. He'd say better late than never, but he was too injured to be positive about their arrival. At least they were all okay for the most part. Claudette still had her bubble up, Madison and Lyss put away the Outsider, Maya was fine, the only ones not accounted for were Emily and Vashti.

He took a seat on his lion's back. "Has anyone seen Emily and Vashti?" He knew Vashti was blown away like the rest of them, but Emily left awhile ago. Either she ditched or something happened to her. He'd rather she left than be gravely wounded.

“Cover me." Maya said, then ran off for cover. Okay. That should be simple. The lion came out of no where, but it shouldn't be hard to get it moving. The lion stood by his side, tall enough to meet him at his hips, but taller than him if it stood on it's hind legs. The beast was massive, but graceful and proud in its movements. A gorgeous companion it is.

"Alright, I don't know what I'm doing, but let's help out our friend, yes?" Herik smiled down at his new friend. It yawned and looked up at him, then ran to cover Maya like he wanted.

Leviathan was tossed away, he worried for his friend, but she can take care of herself. Protect Maya, she'll need the support from the thing trying to kill her. Maya hit Outsider twice, yet the creature didn't move. That's worrying. Herik followed his lion to Maya's side and sat down behind the table. He had to tilt his head so it didn't show over the edge. It didn't matter, however. Something red filled the room, demon babies came out of the floor and jumped him. His lion was at Maya's side, destroying the babies in his strong jaws. Its fur turned red, instead of translucent it looked solid. Herik was left to his own devices. He'd rather Maya be protected then himself when he can handle his own, even though the bites hurt a lot. He grabbed baby after baby and threw them off of him. Tiny, bloody bite marks covered his chest, arms, and legs. One went for his ankle, he kicked it off. They can't stay here. They'll get eaten alive if they waited. Herik saw Claudette's dark bubble going for the exit, Sin and Grace ran out a hole in the wall, and Lyss was holding off Outsider on her own. Emily needed a distraction, but he didn't know what he could do with his lion friend and they were still covered in demon babies. They needed to get out first. He knew Maya has setbacks when she used her power. He picked her up again and ran for the door, lion kept the babies from crawling up his legs. He ran inside Claudette's barrier and set Maya on the ground.

"So what's the pl-"

An animalistic scream hurt his eardrums. Leviathan. It couldn't be anyone other than her. He needed to help. "I'll be back."

He ran out of the darkness and stood next to Lyss. Being around her kept the babies at bay. His lion charged at Outsider's scythe, he rammed into it head first, the blade ripped out of Leviathan's chest and flew across the room. Outsider lost its hand.
Bloody demon babies? What did Herik sign up for? This wasn't in the brochure.

Finley ran out the door with the other kid and Ilsa right behind them. Zoey calling for Hagan made him jump. He sat up and moved to the other side of the couch when Hagan walked by, ready to run if he needed to, but nothing happened. Then she called for him too. Everyone left. He'd rather stay, but he didn't know where they disappeared to or if he would get attacked again. If he went with them would it matter? They'd probably leave him for dead. Maybe not Ilsa. She helped him earlier, but he couldn't trust her. She'll turn on him like everyone else.

Stacey packed up his guitar, hitched it on his back, and left the bank. Everyone else was at least a half a block away. The town looked like something out of the 60s. He didn't like it here. Things that looked old had too much history to not be haunted or cursed. He wanted to go back inside and be away from all the ghost people walking the street. They didn't make him cold this time around, that's a bonus, but he still walked around them cause it's creepy to walk through them. He couldn't tell what was going on, but something happened to Zoey. She used her powers just for whatever she was talking to disappear. That was alarming. He jogged to catch up, but kept as much distance from them as he could. He kept peeking behind him to watch his back. He didn't want to be caught unaware if Hagan came for him again or if Zoey changed her mind. The more the thought if a repeat of earlier crossed his mind, the worse his anxiety. He jogged to catch up with Finley, Ilsa, and the other kid. Maybe they won't bother him if he's not secluded.

Herik listened to explanations of the Outsider and it's worse than he thought. It understood it was a creature not to be trifled with, something like the Hound in comparison to strength maybe. Nothing any of them should mess with, but nothing they could run from either. He knew they shouldn't have dealt with Schmidt at all. Deal or no deal they're in a lot of trouble. Vashti stopped talking and turned to face him looking worse for wear. He stood from the bumper car and caught her while she leaned on the car, her eyes widen and her gaze panicked when she looked into his eyes. It's the Leviathan and that's not good at all. She looked more monstrous by the second, until there nothing left in her face, just an animal looking for it's next meal.

The Outsider showed up, which is the scariest thing he's ever seen, and Leviathan was on the attack. Outsider shot it's finger at Maya.

"Maya!" Herik didn't have time to think, well he did, he thought about how he wanted to save her, get her out of harms way. He threw his left arm out and from his hand came a giant transparent gray lion that snatched Maya by the back of her with its teeth and brought her back to him the same time Leviathan hit Outsider with its tail. She came at him too fast to brace himself, so he fell back on the bumper car with her in his arms. Herik had a tight grip on Maya, afraid he'd drop her. The lion paced in front of them, tethered by its tail to his arm. Is that the? He looked at his ink, the lion on his bicep was gone and in its place was a symbol. He recognized it from his childhood far away from here and on his mother's right shoulder blade. Whatever it meant he'll think about it later. For now he'll roll with it.

"You okay?" He asked Maya, setting her down on her feet.
