Age: 16 Hobbies: Music (Duh! I dare not break the trend, ……and I/she really does love music.), rough and tumble, karate, most things outdoors especially if it includes fire. Reading good adventure books. Personality: In a word? Tomboy. An adventurous girl, Ryan's real name is actually Marie, but she just introduces herself as Ryan, she liked that name better. Rather flighty, she can't stick to one thing for too long. She gets bored easily, and fidgets lots, with a knee jitter when she has to sit still for long periods of time. She hates math, and time doesn't really mean anything to her, not that she doesn't know what it is, just that unless she's suppose to be somewhere at a certain time, she never really looks at clocks. Not the most social, she talks to strangers just fine. She's a little naïve sometimes, and can talk one to the dozen if started on a topic she likes. She loves being outdoors, doing things like rock or tree climbing, abseiling, high ropes courses and the like. Really quite unromantic, she's never afraid to get muddy, and has a serious love of fire. Her preferred genres for reading are action/adventure/fantasy. Anything Else: She likes music for the lyrics and beat, rather than who sung/preformed it. Her favorite colour is blue Owns a ginger tom cat called T-Rex (Don't ask) that's simply known as Rex Ryan doesn't believe in love, not that she's not loved at home, it's just she doesn't believe in "'true love' or any of that crap" as she would say.
………And I'm finally able to get on the computer! Although my damn luck just wouldn't give up, as I currently can't access Word where I type things up, so had to re-type my weapon, and semblance. Ghaaarrrr………
Well anyway, here's her combat info. :)
Position/Class: Smasher
Landing strategy: She'll wing it. Which is the quick way to say she'll probably freak for the ferst few seconds,( and really, who wouldn't?) before letting her sembalance do it's thing, either 'bouncing' her off the trees and further in, until she misjudges something, or simply letting the 'reverse magnetism' 'slow' her fall.
Weapon: Tamn wields a pair of twin war-hammers. A crimson one called 'Oathbreaker' or 'Break' for short, and a copper one named 'Oathkeeper' or 'Keep'. Together she just refers to them as Oath. Reminiscent of Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, they have a foot-long head, half a foot tall and the same wide. The handle has a two inch diameter and is one and a half feet long. Oath don't really have separate forms, rather just two parts that can freely move and adjust. The first is the handle, which can collapse to nothing for storage, extend to the average and shortest length of one and a half feet, or further to it's full extent of two and a half feet. The ends of the handles screw together, creating at it's full length, a pole five feet long with the hammer heads on each end. The other moving contraption is a chain coiled up inside the head of each hammer, that dispenses through the handle. Much like the handle itself, the chains can vary in length, connecting at the end if need be. They can be used in such way that the handles themselves are collapsed leaving her wielding a single or pair of destructive poi. The chains are useable with the short handle, however using with any of the longer handles becomes unwieldy and badly balanced. Their dormant form consists of a pair of rectangular boxes situated on either hip.
Semblance:
In essence Tamn's Semblance lets her push away from anything as long as it is not living or moving. The thing she is pushing away from has to be a solid object, preferably a wall or floor, ceilings work at the right angle, and other things can be used. Occasionally the Grimm 'armor' works, but the conditions have to be just right.
There are three methods to pulling this off.
The first can only be used on surfaces she is 'on top' of, so long as she could stand on it normally, she can used this technique. It consists of a constant push against the ground giving her what looks like basic levitation, although it can 'lift' her no higher than two to three inches max. It is usable as if wearing a pair of roller blades or ice skates, giving her smooth, speedy movement, even over rough terrain.
The second version can also only be used when she is 'on top' of surfaces. Mostly because it starts from a standing stop. In a nutshell, version two is the ability to add extra boost to a jump.
The third method is able to be utilized on any solid surface at all. Based off the second version, the third is rather for when already in motion. It allows her to redirect her momentum rather than waste it by stopping and re-pushing off surfaces. Instead it's like she bounced, allowing her to use three-dimensional maneuvers. Part of this particular method involves a redirection of force, much like magnets, therefore letting her repel away from things, no matter how far she flew/fell/leapt. This includes slowing and stopping a fall. The down side being that the further/faster she was moving the longer it takes to slow down and the more painful the force applied when stopping or rebounding.
The first uses the least aura, just a slow steady drain. Second uses the most, as it has to create momentum, but not excessive amounts. Third requires more than the first but less than the second as it is only redirecting, or slowing momentum.
Tamn has most control over her semblance when using her feet, thanks to having learned to use the first and second part outside. While traveling there had not really been many walls or ceilings to bounce off, therefore she can 'skate', and 'leap', but is still working out the 'bounce'.
Fighting style: Hit them first and hit them hard. Tamn is brutally efficient with her fighting, tending to smash repetitively until her quarry's dead. due to her maneuverability she gets in and out fights as quick as possible, dealing as much damage as she can in as few moves possible. Her sense of practical distance helps a lot, not a measured distance, but that she can feel something behind her, or weather he chains will stretch that far, although she couldn't tell you anything in measurements to save her life. Her style itself consists of a lot of swinging smashing blows, hitting anything within reach.
If the semblance it too much like Crimson Ravens' I'll ditch the second two parts. Hope she's fine :)
Heading out to where his motorbike had been abandoned, Rez rifled through the panniers, pulling out a rumpled but clean grey tee shirt and tugging it on. Digging deeper he snagged a few things he thought might need and dropped them all in a bum-bag that he then belted snugly round his waist.
Slipping back into the castle he saw he was back just behind Kyo. "sorry if I'm late" he offered, then brightened "So, can we go now?" he shrugged back into his light-morning-blue hoodie and held the door open, standing like doormen supposedly do, "Madam, Sir." he gestured.
Fate snarled as the stench erupted in her face. Reeling backwards she yelped, dropping her hammers and pawing madly at her snout, which only caused her sensitive nose even more panic, as the goop was in her paws, she was covered in it actually. No longer able to stand the odor, Fate leaned forward, dry heaving, totally grossed out, there was no way she was eating that! Blargh. It made her shudder just thinking of it.
“Wolf-girl! Quickly! The elixir! On the body- give it to the barman! It will save him!” The bard's hoarse voice barely registered, too busy backpedaling away from the, the thing on the ground. She couldn't, she couldn't go near that thing. She had just enough presence of mind to snag her hammers and drag them with her as she fumbled away from the vile heap on the floor.
It was all well and good, Fate thought, for the bard to say that, when he didn't have to go near the pulpy mess. She glanced over to the bard when music started to add to the chaos already painting the tavern in pandemonium. Was he mad?! Fate couldn't help but question, To just randomly pick up his instrument and play?! At a time like this? But even so she could feel her foot yearning to tap to the beat.
I actually can't put my weapon description up tonight as I'm halfway through typing it up and being told/almost yelled at to get off the computer. Sorry.
Not sure, I quite like Against this's idea, although I am very tempted to use an old one of mine called "Spare Battery" but somehow I don't think it's quite suitable.
I may sound dense, I'm willing to admit that, but I have to ask, how do I tag people?
Don't worry, I'm still vaguely new here, emphasis on vaguely. I just pick things like that up quickly. :)
Basically you have two options; first: at the bottom of posts notice the @Mention button? Click that and it'll drop whoever you want to tag/mention/ping/whatever the appropriate word is, into the 'New Reply" box. Always at the end of anything you've written. Second: in the little buttons across the top of the 'New Reply' box thingie, there is one with an @ symbol on it, click that and you'll get a one of these [ followed by this @Username], only instead of 'Username' you insert the person whom you are trying to tag. :) Gotta make sure your spelling is right though, I've seen people try to tag me using Angle instead of Angel at the end, doesn't work. Hope that was helpful, and not too long winded. :)
(Sorry I couldn't show you what it looks like, as it just turns into a tag.)
