The young man peeked his head over the ventilation shaft. Noticing that the person up there was just a kid, he stood up and pulled the mask down. "Hey," he called out. "I didn't know anyone else was in town but the dead." He wasn't sure what else to say, but it felt good to be able to talk to someone new.
