Still interested, will post the CS tomorrow.
I still think, the CS tab would be useful. As you say "*multiple pages* of inactive CSs" but those are usually in the midst of even more pages of OOC thread, it would be useful for the GM that does that nice helpful list so that he doesn't have to go through those pages. I mean, I have seen RPs that have been well organized with a thread for JUST Character Sheets. If it's like that being in the tabs wiht OOC and IC seems useful. I would still do the list linking to every CS in the first post of the CS thread but it would be much easier because in those long RPs you get CS well after the story has begun and the OOC is going full throttle with conversation so you really have to tread through it to fish CS.

O_oThat's what happens when the server plays about halfway through a post.

xD at first I thought it was just a double post but then I go back and bam.
I'm actually saying that Jake can go in Ravenclaw , I'm just someone that when raised a question wants to look for the answer so I looked it up and now I'm completely lost and looking other theories about the HP saga.

If he's in Ravenclaw that would be ok no? Part of my reasoning for putting him in Slytherin was his personality and also student balance between house and gender.

In the beginning I was actually thinking of making a Hufflepuff, but there're enough there.
The hats opinion's is about personality traits, and as he is one of the biggest pushers for house unity I doubt he would support Salazar's opinions. Also I looked it up to se if it really is unreasonable:

-
During a webchat in 2007, J.K. Rowling mentioned, in a response to a question about Slytherin house, "Slytherin has become diluted. It is no longer the pureblood bastion it once was."

The comment was made re: a post-Deathly Hallows Hogwarts and Slytherin, which is to say that by the time Harry Potter's son, Albus, was heading off to Hogwarts, blood purity wasn't a significant defining factor of Slytherin.
Seeing as we're halfway there I would say that muggleborns must have been trickling in, maybe not fully accepted but it would be a thing in progress.

-
"The proportion of the wizarding population that is Muggle-born is on the rise as the pure-blood families shrink in size and number."
if they kept up with only purebloods and halfs then Slytherin would cease to exist as a house.

Edit: reading on found thi
Personality traits of students seems to be the main factors the Sorting Hat would use in deciding which house students were placed in to; ambition, cunning, cleverness all seemed to be among the most important qualities in determining which students ended up in Slytherin, more than blood-purity.

edit2: and this
Finally, in Chapter 23 of Deathly Hallows, Scabior (the Snatcher) suggests there have indeed been muggle-born members of Slytherin, though not many.
I should look that up.

Anyway, personality wise I just think that's were he would go.

Another edit: if things were still touchy maybe the hat would recommend him another house, probably Ravenclaw, so if it's really bothersome I guess he could go there.
But Tom Riddle himself didn't know he was a half blood when he was sorted.

Edit: And I would think that after the war they would take steps to be more accepting as it is a delicate subject.
•Name: Jacob "Jake" Pinkman

•Age: 11

•Gender: Male

•House: Ravenclaw

•Magical Heritage: Muggle Born

•Appearance:

•Backstory: Jake was born the youngest son to an upper middle-class family when their parents were already quite old and with a 12 year old difference with his older brother.

When Jesse was thirteen and Jake still a baby the second war against Voldemort was ravaging the wizarding world and the muggleborns were being hunted. The fear their parents had for Jesse's well-being at this time became deep rooted in them, even after the war ended and even after their son became stranged to them because of drug abuse.

As it is Jake grew up with his parents' smothering attention focused on him, never out of their sight, but always with the shadow of Jesse hanging over his head in the whispered conversations his parents had when they thought he couldn't hear them. Jesse, his supposed older brother that he rarely met and never knew, but more than anything the bane of his existence.

Of course these circumstances made it specially hard to convince his parents to let him attend Hogwarts but he was determined to grasp this chance to get away from his suffocating life.

•Personality: Jake has always believed that if he ever stepped one foot out of the path his parents set for him he would lose his parents' love. Unlike Jesse he doesn't have their unconditional love. First come first serve or whatever.

That belief is the basis for his great thirst to prove himself, he needs to be the best and for others to see it. Even he doesn't know how far he's willing to go for acceptance, but you might be surprised by his determination. It is a big contrast from his polite and even mellow exterior.

As I said, Jake masks his feelings and opinions therefore he tends to appear distant to his peers. He also learned to be cunning enough to get some leeway from his parents.

In the end he wishes he could relax and be accepted for himself, but fears abandonement if he does loosen up.

•Personal Items:
••Wand: Eleven inches, Acacia, Phoenix feather core, reasonably supple.
••Owl: Grey owl which was bought with his supplies.
••Piccolo: a flute he enjoys to play.

•Special gifts and abilities: An excellent student that has shown high aptitude in music (Piccolo and Oboe), Maths and research among others.

mmmmm... this got bigger than I thought, sorry about that.
Still accepting?
interested =D I'm guessing the initial retrieval is the way to set the story and it continues after that?
Thanks, that cleared up what happened exactly.
