Rise of the Demon Clan - A Fantasy Isekai RP [CLOSED]

The hunting of behemoth-like beasts was done for sport often to show off their strength or to carve out some sort of trophy from their lifeless carcasses. Others turned to raiding of homes of monsters - be it caves, forests, or actual villages - making it into a game where parties would compare petty achievements such as number of monsters slain, most dramatic kill, and even the time it took for a raid to finish.

The mad tyrant, loath to admit defeat, decided to destroy himself together with his empire instead, cursing the lands that stretched miles around it.

With Alidan Typhon defeated, the peace that many had given up their lives for, still did not return to Revea. With their common enemy no more, the heroes turned to each other, establishing their own countries out of what was left from the fallen empire. A series of ever escalating wars were waged with the ambition to one day become the one true ruler of the entire continent. However, throughout the years, none were successful. With their power, influence, and resources near equal to one another, a stalemate and eventual ceasefire among all eight kingdoms, was inevitable. In time, this gave birth to the present era of relative peace.

Our story though, doesn't end there. Preoccupied with this long lasting struggle for power and dominance, many had forgotten of the tyranny brought about by Alidan Typhon. None were aware that his supposed defeat several centuries ago, was merely a ploy to deceive the world. Typhon not only possessed overwhelming power and influence, but also extraordinary foresight and a cunning that was second to none. He knew that continuing to face the eight heroes would lead to his eventual defeat. To hand them this temporary victory was a sacrifice he deemed necessary.

In the ruins of his fallen empire, the essence of Alidan Typhon continued to linger. It was scarce and thinly spread, but over the course time, had accumulated enough to have caused some sort of influence across the lands, marking the eventual resurgence of the once powerful and feared Demon Clan.

Some of you might have just died or are currently nearing death, while others may have been asleep or just taking the bus to work. The type of lives each one of you had would definitely vary, but the one thing all of you had in common was the presence of an ever so potent desire. Lusting for power and wealth, extreme displeasure for the mundane, or a longing for change. Regardless, these were the emotions that made you different from all others.

Appearance-wise, aside from minor changes depending on the type of demon you choose to become, your characters will all look relatively the same, but will bear the Mark of the Demon Clan somewhere on their person. As you become stronger throughout the story, your form changing and becoming more demon-like will be option.

I'll just go for it.

This'll be an Isekai RP and will be highly influenced by a bunch of shonen and seinen titles mixed with some fantasy.

As the usual formula goes, normal civillians from earth - that'll be you guys - will be transported to another realm. Just your standard otherworldly plot. Also, you must be wondering how? Magic. Is dying a prerequisite? Nah. The whole resurrection trope is optional.

So, you must be wondering what type of world this is gonna be? Well, the setting you'll be plunged into is gonna be some sorta arena. You'll be forced against your will to participate in various events ranging from fighting monsters, playing the role of a hero or villain, journeying to accomplish a certain quest, or even something like a free-for-all match. Why? Well, all of your adventures are gonna be streamed to the masses. How? Magic. By the way, the stronger you become, the harder these events tend to become.

You'll basically become streamers trapped in a fantasy world coerced to entertain the masses. But don't worry, you'll still get paid. Basic commodities that are required to address your daily needs are gonna be covered. But if that's the case, what'll you do with your earnings? Basically, you use it to make life a little bit easier. Better living conditions, higher quality weapons, fancier training facilities, and the like. If certain groups like you, they can offer sponsorships, entailing more money and exclusive gear.

Rumors say that if you earn enough, you might be able to buy your freedom. Some though, get used to this kind of life and just choose to stay. Technically, those who make it high enough in the rankings are seen as celebrities and demi-gods.

And to make things clear, you'll be normies. No blackbelt heavyweight boxing champion space cowboys. But you'll have limitless potential. Those from earth, for some reason, possess incredible learning curves, so they tend to avoid the boring grinding periods and tend to manifest sudden bursts in their physical capabilities or some strange power.
