March 17th, 2277. (14:43)

The sun shined through the gray clouds and the ash colored snow. Sly looked through the discolored windows of his hut and saw the tribesmen working to move brahmin across a bridge to their breeding grounds. He walked over to his footlocker and opened it, revealing a small selection of weaponry and explosives. He pulled his .10mm sidearm and picked his holster up from the ground. He clipped it onto his belt and slipped the pistol into its place.

There was a light knock at the door, which startled Sly. He tripped as he went to pull the wooden latch, and he landed on the floor with a thud. The door opened and a man stepped in. "Sly. You're such a joke." he said. He stuck his heavily tattooed hand out to help Sly up, and in reply he said, "Well, I'm sorry, but I expect at least a little privacy, Kahne." Kahne smiled, and replied with "C'mon. Elder wants us to check the perimeter for any disturbances by the Brotherhood. Been a lot of scouts." Sly nodded in agreement, and they both filed out of the building.

They passed through the dining hall, where people waved to Sly and said hello. He replied to them like normal, but it felt out of place. He felt out of place. Ever since the Brotherhood battle... he's never felt the same. He kept a firm hand on his pistol as they approached the main gate to the outside wastes. Kahne looked at him and noticed his expression, "Been a little since we've been out here, eh?" He reached up and pushed the gate forwards. They both left the village and walked into the Wasteland, where no one could be trusted.

"Alright, Sly, we've got to head for the Ranger Outpost. As far as I know, there have been reports of Brotherhood camps being set up there." Kahne said, as they walked through the barren land of dead, burnt trees and scorched earth. The Ranger Outpost wasn't far, and Sly was afraid he would break down. He made sure that his pistol was loaded fully, and that no jams would occur. He cocked it right into place, and Kahne turned, "Whoa, we're just on a scouting mission, not a sweep and kill." Sly looked up and said "I know, it's always good to be prepared." Then they saw the Ranger Station in full view.

A burnt out, all wood building that served a purpose back in the pre-war days as a way to keep criminals from hopping the borders. "I suggest we split up. It takes less time." Kahne said, and Sly nodded in agreement. Kahne turned and went to the left side of the building, while Sly went around the right. Sly walked around the building twice, then around the outside of it. He had no sight of Kahne. He yelled his name out, "Kahne! Hey! There's nothing here! Let's head back!" He was beginning to think that he had went of without him. Sly froze in his spot. A mechanical click. The sound of a gun... "Stand down, tribal." a muffled voice said.

Sly slowly turned to see a Brotherhood soldier in full power armor aiming a 12.7mm sidearm right between his eyes. On his armor, one word was scratched on the armor - Steel. "Ah, Initiate Rokstead. It's been a while." Sly said in a low voice. The soldier stuttered and finally managed, "How the hell do you know my name?" Sly smirked and said, "Paladin Sly, or Scribe Sly. Either way, you should know me. I was there when you first joined." Rokstead turned around for a moment and took his helmet off. "It's Knight now. When you left, and killed our battalion... I was inducted a Knight." Sly smiled gripped his pistol tightly, forcing it up and aiming directly at Rokstead's head. "Where's my friend at? He's the tribal."

So... did I get accepted? Wonder Twins??
Superhero Name: Wonder Twins
Civilian Identity: Zan (male) and Jayna (female)

Powers and Abilities: The Wonder Twins have the ability to shape-shift. There are limitations, of course. In order for them to shape-shift, they have to be in hand-to-hand contact, otherwise it won't work. The Wonder Twins both have their own separate shape-shifting limits as well. Zan can only shape-shift into water forms, but he can use it to create ice. In one episode of Super Friends, he was able to change into Liquid Nitrogen. He can also use the ice to build ice creatures. Jayna, on the contrary, can shape-shift into any animal, whether real or mythological, and can use that animal's powers.

Jayna can also shape-shift into animals of Krypton, giving it the abilities of all Kryptonians. She was able to abuse this power to defeat Superman. Zan was able to turn ice into living things, such as water into a Frost Giant. Among that, they share a telepathic link, so they can contact each other at any time. They also have a pet space monkey, Gleek, who acts as a pass-through, when the Wonder Twins are out of reach and cannot active their powers.

For Zan's birthday, he pulled his money together a got them a space monkey, whom they called Gleek. They spent all of their time with Gleek, teaching it tricks and abilities, and Gleek loved them. Zan and Jayna could never had been more grateful to the universe.

As they grew, they began to dream of the outside worlds. The other planets, the other galaxies, the other systems. They daydreamed during their circus performances, and one time Zan dropped an alien backswinger, and eventually became yearning for the outside. As older teenagers, they ran from the circus and went for an unknown planet, who Grax, Superman's enemy, resided on. They spied on him and found of his plan to destroy a strange planet known as "Earth." They then go to Earth in order to warn the Justice League of his plan, where they inducted as temporary members in order to defeat Grax.

Upon defeating Grax, Superman inducts the Wonder Twins into the Justice League as official members. There, they are accepted by all of the super heroes, who say, "We are all freaks and misfits, but we put our freaky abilities to good use." Aquaman and Zan become good friends, due to their water abilities and powers, and Jayna becomes attached to Flash, although he doesn't see her as a date. Zan and Jayna spend their time with Gleek, learning that they can use Gleek as a conduit for their powers. But through it all, they still feel as though they are outsiders to the group. Zan says they will never fit in, and Jayna agrees.
