It makes me feel valid and valued by others to have positive attention.

Ew what is wrong with you people, any attention is always negative attention in the end.
1. Why are y'all so thirsty for attention?

I really hope you're not older than 12
If you're into sludge, Melvins is always a good starting point. I would also suggest The Ocean and Mastodon. I feel like you're probably more a fan of the experimental/noise aspects however, in which case I would suggest Big Black, Jesus Lizard, Helmet, and White Zombie.

Tool and SOAD share alternative metal elements, so for that I'd suggest Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Primus, basically anything that was popular in the early 90s.

Crust punk isn't my thing, but I could suggest melodic hardcore acts if you dig that.

Vassline's pretty good imo, but metal isn't my field of expertise. I'm more of an alternative/rock kinda person.

let it be known that I will judge the fuck out of everyone's answers
