"It'll be a quick raid and you'll be able to get some of those new deck swabs some training," Sky said pointing at the map, "Take your new girlfriend Belmont. She seems like she hasn't hurt a fly." Sky continued to explain the plan as Belmont looked at his watch.
"I'll have her shoot the first farmer who rejects us," Belmont said setting his pistol on the table. It had Parent Mörder scratched into the side of it.
"We'll launch the scouter out as well," Tehrier said showing a scout track on the map, "have him fly low to stay out of sight. Any alliance ships won't shoot him. We repainted the top to look like a crop duster."
"Sounds fair enough," Sky said as made a note to himself, "so... go with a team of five. We'll drop you off, and do not... I repeat. Do not hesitate. We don't need the alliance coming here finding one of our bodies. That'll up the security in this region."
---
"This is Castle. We are performing search over Region six," Captain Weber said into a radio, "Regions one through five resulted in three pirate airships destroyed. No captives taken. Will update on further data."
"Captain, Scout Planes ready to launch," Lt. Caldwell said, "launch on your command." Captain Weber nodded his head and turned his attention to the outside mountains. Over a hundred planes dropped out of the hangers and zoomed away. They went over the mountains while others went through the fog and down towards the ground. Weber took a sip of his tea as he crunched down on a biscuit.
"Those Royal bastards have the best cookies. Remind to me get some more," he said with a smirk before taking another sip of tea.
The crew were out on the decks, below the decks and one of the crows-men was climbing down to get some food. Sky's eyes scanned the decks when they locked onto Sergeant Belmont. He was doing his morning inspections and was probably one of the first people to get up and eat. He grouped up with Sergeant Tehrier and made their way up to the Captains Roost.
"Hello Sky. How was your night?" Sky and both sergeants heard coming from one of their crewman. Sky turned his back to the deck and crossed his arms.
"It's captain, you wench," Belmont said as he stopped and walked over to the girl, "Natasha was it? I want four rifles in inspection order fifteen minutes after you eat... I will be watching." Belmont rejoined Tehrier who asked him why he had to be mean to everyone. He proceeded to explain that he was rough to teach them discipline. The sergeants bowed to Sky when they reached his roost.
"We have three trained farmers down there in the community below us. We'll stop by and claim some food," Sky explained walked over to the end of the ship, "for protection. If they resist, give them the option to live or die. It's worked before and it will work now, otherwise kill the farmers, and take their youngest children. If they have a daughter... take her too. The Axis of States pay good for them I hear." The sergeants nodded and took aim at each other.
"I'll do this one," Tehrier said grabbing Belmont by the arm and shouldering him to the ground. With a quick spin, Belmont kicked the legs out from underneath Tehrier and pushed him down the stairs.
"The hell you will," Belmont yelled, "I was an interrogator for two years. You were what, a debater?" Tehrier accepted his loss and returned to the captains roost. Belmont locked his eyes on Natasha when she finished her food.
"You got fifteen minutes girl," he yelled pointing at her looking at his gold watch.
The ember dawn burned through the mist laden countryside. The illusion of hell's fingers reaching through the fields wasn't a sight easily forgotten. Every morning dawn looked this way for the first five minutes and then it goes away turning back into a regular morning. Farmers of the Alliance would gather just to watch the elusive explosion of colors as the sun first peeked over the mountains.
Sky breathed in deeply, as he felt the first rays of light hit his skin. His crew armed with sub-machine guns and bolt-action rifles laid about the deck of the ship. Other than himself and a handful of others, the crows-men was the only person awake. The moment his eyes land on something worth an attack, a single slap of the bell and everyone mans their battle stations.
"Ahoy there captain," Freyer the cook said walking up with a platter, "breakfast today will be Steak and eggs." Sky turned his back to Freyer as he peered out the bottomside windows of his ship, the farmlands bustling in the winds while the plows created new farmland. Freyer set Sky's platter next to a map that displayed military routes.
"Thank you," Sky said keeping his back to Freyer, "still one of the best Chef's I know. What's the crew eating?"
"Same thing, except we got that bacon from our last raid in place of the steak," Freyer said walking towards the captains cabin door, "best get those eggs cooking up. Pete will be waking everyone up soon." Sky nodded to himself as Freyer spoke then left. He pulled out an officer academy gold watch. 0645, fifteen minutes more and everyone will be up and at 'em. Sky took the next ten minutes to eat his breakfast with no interruptions. He gussied himself up a bit before leaving his cabin. Many of the crewman had already woken up from their slumber and were relaxing at their spots or already heading down to get their breakfast.
The ringing of the triangle emitted from Freyer woke the rest of the crew, "Come and Get it you Scallywags!"
Biography: Skyland, aka Sky, was born into the Alliance and attended a Military Academy after both his mother and father had passed away due to illness. He excelled at commanding and piloting an airship which in-turn lead him to commanding several airships for the Alliance. Sky turned his back on the Alliance when he learned that his brother was betrayed and killed by an officer appointed over him. The details were hazy non-descriptive, but from what his brother wrote him, there was corruption in their country. Sky was hesitant to believe him at first but after a first hand encounter with GREG, He and his crew abandoned their allegiance with the Alliance and fled becoming the first Pirate Company with an Airship. Sky and his crew took no time in claiming the skies over the ruined regions of France and Spain. One of Sky's brilliant tactics for destroying enemy airships was to capture Scavs in capsule like objects. After several days of not having food, and the wretched living conditions, the Scavs were already ticked off and ready to kill. It wasn't a horribly hard process getting the Scavs off their airship and onto another considering that once unlocked, the Capsules are easily broken open. Usually midway through the flight, the Scavs would break out and practically land on Airships themselves. Shortly after, Sky's crew would kill the Scavs at a distance and then board the ship, looting and then leaving a booby trap inside the engine. Hard to detect when it just looks like unburnt fuel.
The year is 1933, in August on the 4th day. World War One started when the King of the Royal Monarchy decided to attack a diplomatic ship from the Alliance. The Alliance retorted with in-country bombings of major city locations found in Spain and France. German Troops protected by Italian aircraft successfully took over chunks of France and Spain.
Due to strict laws involving the military, there was a lack of a military force. These laws were bipassed and citizens all over the now split territory are drafted. This war lasted for six months before a meaner more ferocious threat made itself known. The United Nations was born when massive monsters emerged from the Oceanside in France.
The largest recorded monster was about 5 meters tall. This one turned out to be a carrier or a vessel. Once it received a threatening attack, it exploded dropping thousands of size varied monster that were the compares to that of an average human. The troops attacked on the ground weren't prepared for such a large invasion, and were slaughtered up until the point when German Troopers arrived. The French deployed many airships to be used for air support.
A third, fourth, and fifth variation of monster was recorded and destroyed upon first contact. The monster threat was all but eliminated and deemed a very weak foe.
The first month of 1935, World War Two begins. The Alliance still provoked by the royal Monarchy's actions of the past. The Royal Monarch received hourly bombings on every chunk of land they owned before the Trade Republic and The Axis of States got involved. The Alliance received heavy funding from the Axis of States which allowed them to build super weapons which would lead to the destruction of the Royal Monarchy. The Trade Republic didn't agree with this and got involved becoming the first Faction to best the Alliance.
As the Axis of States prepared to send the Alliance even more aid, a civil war ensues in the year of 1936. The western labor force is born and declares war on the High Council. The Axis of States is split in two... Upper-Class being the rich, healthy, and technologically enhanced human beings vs. the Labor Force though technologically enhanced, they were workers with now formal training. That was until the Trade Republic got involved. The Labor Force becomes the Freedom Confederacy all within the single year of 1936.
Also happening in the year of 1936, the Conglomerate of the Ocean is created. Every nation, despite the bloody wars that they were involved in, agreed with the conglomerates situation by donating all prisoners, that could be rehabilitated, to their cause. These prisoners would experience the harshest of training environments which would indulge them into three forms of training: Combat Skills, Companionship Susceptibility, and Loyalty Conditioning. If the training succeeded then the new improved soldiers would be picked up and escorted to a duty station. If the training failed... the prisoners were killed either by each other or by the monsters. No land in the world was more suitable to train the best of the best then the monsters own home territory of Antarctica.
As 1937 came around, the Alliance was causing more harm to both the Trade Republic and the Royal Monarchy then good with their Mechanical Robots that could be deployed anywhere via Airship. Spain and France were completely occupied leaving only the ruins of Great Britain to remain. The Alliance slowly pushed into Russia but met great resistance as Russian troops were strong of heart.
Halfway through the year of 1937, the Toxic Fog of Polash was disturbed and spores were released spreading the toxic influence. Vincent Polash was a scientist who allowed a power plant to overload and explode in northern Russia. A corrosive toxic fog was released into a huge plume that hovered just waist high from the ground. It resembles fog which is how it got its name. Unless the proper equipment was worn, inhaled or not you would be dead in mere moments of contact. Russia was directly impacted with a near ecological disaster from the immediate spread of the Toxic Fog. The Trade Alliance was able to push the Alliance forces back and a large chunk of their army surrendered due to the fog and having no means of retreat.
1938 was the year of compromise. The Trade Republic, The Alliance, and the Royal Monarchy reached an agreement that peace was probably the best course of action the world should take. The Royal Monarchy delivered a humiliating apology to the Alliance.
The current year is 1939. The monsters continued to roam around the world. Scavvers and Grunts more common then the rest but Reapers tend to scour the lands in search for a quick bite to eat. In the more desolate areas of the world, specifically the industrious wastelands, there are actually tribes of more advanced Grunts that are lead by a Ghorn and or a more collected Ghorn Council. These are just a few things that have merely been observed and not fully researched.
Tensions are still high involving the Alliance. The Axis of States is still divided with no chance of change coming any time soon. There is an uprising in under-developed counties along with a severe escalation in Pirate factions.
The world is made up of five major factions: The Royal Monarchy, The Alliance, The Trade Republic, The Axis of States, and The Conglomerate of the Ocean.
The Royal Monarchy: Great Britain, France, and Spain (They are Silver on the Map)
The Alliance: Germany, Italy, and Poland (They are Black on the Map)
The Trade Republic: Russia and China (They are Red on the Map)
The Axis of States: United States of America, Canada, and Mexico (They are Blue on the Map)
The Conglomerate of the Ocean: Japan, Hawaii, Koreas, pretty much all of the islands. (They are Green on the Map)
Terror Scorn: Antarctica (They are Purple on the Map)
Pirates: Everywhere
Rebels: Occupying forces of non-conformed countries. (They are Brown on the Map.)
Grunts: The back bone of the Terror Scorn. These guys are everywhere and even though they don't have anything specifically special about them. Fighting them in groups is dangerous. Highly adaptive, Skilled Close Quarter Combatants, and gain knowledge through the consumption of human flesh.
Mothers: These wonderous beasts have the beauty of an Elephant Seal that gave birth to a Pile of Shit. If you can stand staring at them, then you will soon bare witness to their explosive delivery of Grunts. If you are especially lucky, you'll witness it, scuttle back into the ocean with two lefts, a gorey spine and a head. On land, these things are slow but in the water, they are fast and seem to be made of jelly. They have no atracks to be noted, but when they explode they share the Ghorns infectious worm parasites. If one is near you, you best run the fuck away or find cover.
Ghorns: These creatures are horribly strong and damn near master of all trades. They have range, they have superior close quarter combat, and they always have a healthy supply of infectious worms that they can spew out of their mouth holes at any moment. It is highly advised that you don't get cut by these guys, because your protective gear will keep your appendages, eyes, mouth, ears and nose safe from penetration. Luckily the worms only live for a few seconds outside of the human body so there's that. Their ranged attack shoots globs of bloody plasma like substance that reacts corrosively if touches human skin. It remains active for an hour, so if you see this goop laying around, stay the hell away from it. Ghorns also have three horrible attacks. One of which is a secret and currently unknown. The other two punish human beings in ways that they should never be punished. These creatures are filled with infection worm parasites mentioned above. Only real special thing about these, are that they turn humans into Grunts. The final attack turns humans into walking body bombs. They suffer extreme amnesia from the attack only remembering what they were doing before injection. It isn't a short process, but it takes a few minutes for the Ghorn to successfully convert the body making it susceptible to the corrosivity of the acid. Once the victim makes his way either to a large group of people or is discovered they explode. Symptoms are bloating, immediate amnesia if you find him after conversion, and drunken slurring when he's about to pop!
Reapers: These flying creatures of destruction are also known to carry Ghorns or Grunts then it attacks. If seen flying in circles, they could be marking a warzone. They usually land to pick up their fellow monsters to take elsewhere. They have two huge bladed claws that they use to rip apart Airships or Boats. They were first mistaken as dragons but that was quickly dismissed when the first ones they encountered were immediately killed. They have terrible armor but incredible strength. A Reaper stopped a boat from moving at 50 knots. Almost made the damn engines overload. Just put a cannon round or two into it and it'll die.
Scavs: These bloody things are vicious and mean when they need to be. Practically the only monster that doesn't attack on sight. They are vultures and scavengers, roaming battlefields eating the dead or mortally wounded. There isn't anything special about them, except that they are incredibly fast, agile, and strong. Get face to face with one of these, and you'll wish that you skipped breakfast this morning.
Hey guys, I kinda totally forgot about this with all the hecticness of returning from my dad's and going back to school. I'm really sorry, still interested, if things are going on!
