As the girl surveyed the room, somebody had addressed her from a desk not too far from the door. She unconsciously took a half-step back when he began walking towards her, approaching quite fast when it probably wasn't anywhere near the speed she's imagining. Natsume took another when he playfully winked at her after he asked his question, definitely overwhelmed by his presence but was willing to play along for a bit. "I guess I found the president", she thought to herself.

She blinked a few times.

"I uh..." She took a second to collect her thoughts and regain her posture before continuing. "I'm here to apply for the newspaper club." Offering the piece of paper in her hand to the man she assumed was the president as she fully opened the door. Natsume had hoped that she didn't sound too nervous or shy, so that the president wouldn't outright reject her application if he didn't find her appropriate for the club because of it. The girl wasn't entirely sure if she even wanted to be a part of the club in the first place. But now that she was here, a quick denial wouldn't sit right with her either. Especially from somebody who got under her skin so quickly from his overwhelming yet warm presence.

The girl blinked a few times at what had just transpired several feet away from her. To be honest, she really didn't want to be here. Had her parents not persuaded her to try and join a club, she would have been at the mall already or something.

She looked down at the application paper in her hand, and briefly thought if the newspaper club was a good choice. It was close to her classroom, so she wouldn't have to trek across the school just to get to it, and it was near the entrance as well. So she can get in and out very easily if need be. Although she wasn't up for the other portion of the newspaper club. And that was interacting with people. Maybe she could get a spot on just writing up an article or something without needing to talk to somebody that much. She could probably write up a news article if she puts her mind to it, better that than needing to go out in the sun. It'll be a nice distraction perhaps.

Well, at the very least she can say that she tried joining a club and got turned down. What she heard about the current club president did worry her however, since he sounds like a handful that wouldn't turn down anybody from the rumors that she was hearing in the hallways earlier in the week. She didn't realize that she was already in front of the closed door to the newspaper club room with her hand about to knock. The girl stood there for about a minute before finally summoning the courage to actually do it.

"Here goes nothing."

After knocking twice, she slowly opened the door and peeked in. "H-hello?", her voice was soft but hopefully was audible enough for the people inside to hear.

Biography: Growing up, Natsume lived a comfortable life. She had a small circle of friends that she could rely on and trusted, she had decent grades, a healthy if-distant-at-times relationship with her parents and relatives, and she was content with it. The girl didn't worry much about anything besides maybe that exam coming up next week or if she could make it in time to buy that crepe she and her friends always had at the stand near the bus stop before it sold out. It was all she ever wanted.

Her lifestyle had started to abruptly change in her 2nd year of junior high when her closest friend had suddenly transferred out due to some family matters, and her circle slowly dispersing as it was clear that her friend was the only thing keeping them together. Although they still do talk here and there, her circle had no longer been the same group that she always looked forward to hanging out with after school. Her final year of junior high felt empty for her, and she was just going through the motions just to finish it. Countless sleepless nights and thoughts about running away constantly plagued her since then.

Shortly after graduating however, her family had decided to move to Shikatsu in order to be closer to her father's work office to reduce his travel time. All of this meant an entirely new environment for Natsume, and she didn't particularly like it. She knew she was being selfish, but she wanted the good old days back; back in their old home, only worrying about passing that coming exam, and hanging out with her old group of friends at the diner or watching a movie together. She hated the sudden change, but she felt powerless to do anything about it. They had already moved to Shikatsu, and she had already been enrolled to Uchima Senior High as a freshman. The sleepless nights certainly didn't help.

Personality: In her current state, Natsume comes off as mostly quiet and distant to her peers. Seemingly mature and in control of her emotions. She almost always has her earphones on, listening to either a podcast or an album she really liked. If they need her help on something, she'll put her best effort forward just to get it done. However in terms of conversations, she'll avoid talking about herself and opening up to other people. Mostly stemming from her shell of not wanting to become familiar with anybody if it just means them separating again in a few years. The effort not worth the pain anymore.

Despite this however, it is fairly easy to break through her said shell if someone is persistent enough. She still does long for finding a place to belong again, even if she wouldn't ever admit that to herself. Underneath her hardened exterior, lies a cheerful girl with a hearty laugh who likes going around doing new and stupid things with her friends. If only so that she can keep her mind off of the hard times. Anybody that manages to get on her good side will earn her support and love until the ends of time.

She spends most of her free time walking around the city, a habit she picked up in her last year of junior high. Besides getting herself acquainted with the new location they were living in, walking helps keep her mind off of things and keeps her out of the house for a few hours after class if she isn't feeling tired. Ironically, despite her name having the word 'summer' in it (I.E. 'Natsu'), she is very weak to the heat as she sweats very easily and gets conscious about it. Preferring heavily to stay inside the malls or anywhere that has a functioning AC on the hotter days.

@Crimmy Phew, ended up pulling an all-nighter for this since I was having a lot of fun writing it. Thinking up of a backstory to connect with the Temperance Arcana was definitely the most fun part though, as was reading everyone else's to try to avoid having a similar motivation or background. Although I did notice that there is an abundance of females already, would this be OK?
