So i've been watching this anime, the Eccentric Family, and its basically about this small family of tanuki- which are Japanese, shapeshifting raccoons. I haven't finished the series but, from what i gather from it, Tanuki - can shape-shift or preform "tricks" to avoid capture or detection from humans which they can do by - Turning into their human form (or the human form of someone else they have seen) - turning in to objects (furniture, things on the streets, really just about anything) - Turning in to things of nature (like trees and such) - Animals (although they seem to only be able to shift into one animal form other than their raccoon forms) The above is affected by age/mastership of these tricks- i noticed that the younger tanuki could not keep certain transformations for long periods of time. So! What I'd like to rp is a feuding gang of tanuki living out on the streets together. Now we can all be in the same gang against an npc gang or (if there is enough interest) then we can have players in the enemy gang. The rp will be loosely based off of the anime and I'll provide all of the info you need to know, so theirs no need to go and watch it. It should also be noted that, in the anime, there was this society of Tengu (people that can fly basically and have bird-like appearances) that I might allow people to play as- but really the focus will be on the Tanuki. For more subplot stuff I'm also thinking of adding oni (Japanese demons). I'm also thinking of having a list of possible animals that people can claim to shift into. This list will be - The Tiger - The Lion - The Bear - The Wolf - The Snow Leopard 1. take note that this list isn't official and we can add to it 2. also take note that I will not add birds because the Tengu would be a pointless race 3. final note: in the anime these animals could grow to any size Once I get about 4 people who are interested I'll throw up an ooc If you have any questions ask away!

> This is really too much work.......... > > I don't think I'm interested if people are gonna be like this too........ > > Sorry snarl.. WANNA MAKE A PACK RP OF OUR OWNNNN???????? Ohh yea! Lets goooo
Aww crap. Sorry Ada. I thought that Free rp didn't need any one to accept the characters.. Growl even asked me and I told him that it was Ok. I'll take the blame, my bad.
Yeah, Growl and I'll make due with that, I guess. I'd rather start something new than make you guys feel uncomfortable by messing with something you guys have long established. Heh.
Can we just be a new pack- or maybe part of the pack that just got away before the attack? Can probibly explain why Viam is so messed up looking and change that in my character bio???
Chtlaviam- (jk thats really difficult sorry guys, lets just call him Viam) rose from his bed of brambles. The fur on his back, coming out in tufts thanks to the change of seasons, was unkempt and matted. How long had he been asleep? He looked about for his mate- however he could not see his dark companion anywhere. A deep sense of loneliness settled over the canids heart and, as no one was around to see his weakness, he lowered his head and whined. He missed his mate and he wondered where he could be. When, exactly, was the last time he saw him? The umber wolf could not remember. In fact the rest of his thoughts were blurred and sluggish- what was wrong with him? He blamed his sleep- he felt as if he had been asleep for a long time. How incredibly morbid, he thought as he set out in search of Rhada, that I cannot recall anything. It made him angry. Feeling hopeless wasn't his thing. He breathed heavily, the night air visibly curling about his nostrils and spurting out in disgust as he laced his way through the skinny trees. His territory seemed familiar to him; he was aware of the trees that guarded his home and the now growing spruces of spring. Warmth was a far away concept to him, it seemed, as he felt only the cold night air of now and not the sun of tomorrow. Yesterday he was with Rhada and warmth was a familiar thing. Now he was only cold and accompanied by the naked, black trees. He was aware of the moon over head but he did not _enjoy_ it. In fact he found more solace in the darkness about him. Endless and aimless pathways where they trees blocked out the moons light taunted him. Rhada could be over here, or over here, no he could be over there, or behind you. Without a sense of direction but determined to keep going the wolf chose at random. His tattered and small ears pointed up suddenly as the trees broke away suddenly. He came upon a small pond, surprisingly not thick with ice. It was still, however, and seemed tranquilly pure. Was he thirsty? Viam licked his lips, his dark purple tongue passing through the holes in his teeth as he did so, and he decided that he was. He lowered his head and was about to drink we he stopped himself- for he saw a horrid creature in the pool. Bristling he pulled away with a craggily growl. An ugly fish, a disgusting creature from beneath the surface! How dare it scare him so. He edged toward the water and peered into the still pool again. The beast peered suspiciously back at him and he growled. It growled back. He bore his toothless warning sneer and it gave one in return. Mocking me! He realized and the wolf dashed the water to smack the ugly fish out of the water.. However his paw felt nothing and he was confused. He looked into the rippling waters and found that the fish was gone, and this pleased him. He blinked and then grinned to himself, triumphantly. Settling down by the pool he searched its still unsettled surface for the fish again. How incredibly ugly it was! He recalled. For it had these pale, sad eyes and matted fur. Its nose was twisted to one side horribly and its mouth! Its mouth sported only a handful of teeth! Disgusting abomination, he reflected, and he dropped his head down on his paws. That fish, he soon came to the conclusion, was very much better off dead. Such a disgusting thing... Was alone. All alone. How strange, reflected the wolf, I suddenly feel so sad. Perhaps that the fish and I share this loneliness in common? Yes, perhaps. But how different from a fish was he? This huge forest was but a pond to him like the pond was to the fish. It roamed about in its home quite like he roamed about in his. Others perhaps wished death to fall swiftly upon him like how he wished the same for the horrid creature who he saw in the pond. And he suddenly felt like a fish- a horribly ugly thing, stuck to roam about in his pond aimlessly. "What is wrong with me.." He thought aloud. Agitated he turned away from the pond in search of his dumb mate. The idiot had left him alone with his thoughts... Again.
