Who I Am
I'm a freelance artist with a part-time job living in an overpriced apartment out in the city with my partner and our chubby cat. I went to school for visual art but written (and spoken) word are another love of mine. I'm latinx, I'm queer. I like /some/ anime. But I love trashy reality tv too. I have a switch. I like astrology (you see where this is going). If you can jive with someone like that then please read on!

What I'm looking for: someone who wants to write a complex story with an interesting cast of characters. Or someone who's down for a bunch of shorter stories.
-ideas that inspire me: factions. Tournament arcs. Journey of discovery. A group of friends on a long adventure. Fantasy.
-my partner should be: open to anything I listed above. Patient. 18+. Have a writing style that I like (About this: it's only fair if we're both going into this blind that- if either of us doesn't like how the other writes then its perfectly fine for this to be communicated and the partnership ended. No hard feelings, honestly).
-roles I'm interested in: female roles that lean toward more masculine/Male roles.

Kind of story I'm craving (not concrete): a girl is sacrificed by her village to the god of the Forest. Its a tradition kept by the villagers keep them safe from the demons that lurk in the dark. The girl has to journey up the mountain to be eaten by the god. On her walk she meets all kinds of people, spirits and creatures-one of who will be my character, a huntress belonging to an enemy village.

My availability is pretty low but I'll make sure to kick my ass to get a reply in once a day.

A simple rp where the characters have their own creature and have the ability to tame other monsters. The players will be part of a small guild. Originally tasked with creature population control and keeping creatures off of farmland, the guild has increasingly encountered the same problem. Tainted monsters have begun appearing, spreading disease that has begun to kill the landscape. The source of the diseased creatures must be found and stopped, to restore balance to the land.

**Roles have to be filled for this roleplay. Meaning your starting creature will be given to you by me based on the role you choose below.

****The RP starts after I assign you your creature. You can either have your character be a newly joined Guild member or a current member.

Setting: An island where people and creatures coexist. Story will begin in the small village of Degar. (wip. I'll come up with names/images if I see any interest)

Beast tamers
Tamers are born, not made. At a certain age (between earliest records show at 15, the average is between 18 and 23, but beasts have appeared as late as into someones 30s) their Guardian Beast will be summoned. These intelligent creatures are bound to their tamer for life. Since there are so few tamers on the island and so many monsters, it is required by law that all gifted join the Guild. Life in the Guild, until recently, is straightforward; protect people from monsters and protect monsters from people. Keep the balance and all will be well.

Monsters



The monsters are not born into this world, they are summoned. Gates open at random, transporting creatures from different realms and planes of existence. Researchers have identified 4 gates, based on the type of monsters that emerge.

Fairy type monsters. Water aligned creatures. Some are pretty little winged things- others are definitely not.

Demon type monsters. Fire aligned creatures. Not all of them are mischievous and cruel…

Mechanoid type monsters. Use electric spells. Range from tiny bots to huge clunking contraptions. They all sport incredible AI, not all speak however.

Beast type monsters. Use wind spells. Often feral and rarely speak, but are famed for their loyalty.

Roles

The Cavalier (a fighting class. The Cavalier will have a mount/beast they can ride)

The Theurgist (a magic class. The Theurgist’s beast will lend their power to their tamer in battle)

The Sentinel (a fighting class, focus: defense. The Sentinel’s beast will be a shield to their tamer in battle)

RESERVEDThe Illusionist (a magic class, focus: defense. The Illusionist has no attack output, so they and their beast aim to distract and defend rather than attack)for Experiment 249

RESERVEDThe Rogue (a stealth class. The Rogue’s beast aids them in keeping out of sight)for rush99999

The Cleric (the healer. Their beast will have some healing ability.)

Personality: (I’ll be really studying what you put here to determine what creature I give your character. But this doesn’t mean I’ll be giving your character a Demon type because they’re loud and “fiery” or whatever, so don’t drop any hints like that either lol.
Bio: (Does your character come from the mainland? Or have they lived on the island all their lives? How many siblings does your character have? What would your character have been had their beast not been summoned?**after you know what your beast is: how did their family react to their Guardian being summoned? etc)

Carthanach

A behemoth battle hyena. He's 9 feet at the shoulder. His skull is the size of a hay cart. Weighing in at 550 lbs of muscle. The lumbering beasts mouth smells like a morgue. His horrendous appearance speaks nothing for his attitude, however- he acts like an over sized puppy when with Roque.

Personality: rough and rugged describe Roque well. When given a task he must see it through. He pushes his students hard because he believes struggle is the most efficient way to become stronger. He's patient and has a keen sense of control over his emotions. Its difficult for him, however, to concede defeat or error. Roque loves glory and power- and at times he may seem bloodthirsty and ambitious.

Bio: He graduated from the Militial Academy of the capital a year ago- a division that some craftknights take when they plan on reaching the ranks that work alongside the Order and the Elemental Knights. However he was chosen to return to Degar and teach. It disappointed him that he would not be needed in the battles up north- but he had no say in the decision.
