The reason that I never had any of that Japan specific inspiration before is really because I had no idea what I was doing. I had just joined PoW, my first nation RP, and wasn't exactly sure what to do. I thought, at that point, that maybe if I swapped to something I had actually studied (Germany/Prussia), things would be a lot easier. Then, with that one, I was basically just an idiot, who gave up as soon as there was a chance of going to war with then-France Hug, like, three posts into playing it. From there, I moved on to Switzerland, which, really, I should have never touched.

When I finally got to Britain, I had managed to figure out what I was doing so wrong, and what I needed to do for this kind of RP. But I made the mistake of choosing a nation that had such a confusing backstory at that point that I wasn't even sure what was and wasn't allowed for it. So, to me, it only made sense that a Britain that was barely holding together wouldn't forever, so that's when I had Scotland and Ireland rebel for their freedom. But nobody seemed to take well to that, so thats why, in my last post before the swap, I wrote it off as a white peace, though in Englands favor.

That's the reason I want a fresh start with Japan. It's what I was originally, and never should have strayed from, if I knew what I was doing going into PoW. Britain has tons of potential, and probably could have lots of great writing done for it. I just don't think that I'm the person who should be in charge of all that.

I just need to be a nation that I can RP, knowing fully well what my boundaries are. With Britain, I really am not sure what those are. With countries like Japan or Romania, though, I know exactly where they stand, and what I would be able to do there.

If I stay with Britain, the Celts either rebelling for freedom, or maybe Scotland challenging England for a shift of power from the English to the Scottish in the UK are one of the things I would add, since, to me, it would only make sense. Both Ireland and Scotland would likely try to leave the union when the government in England was essentially erased during the anarchy. They would probably try to get out of it in order to save themselves from undergoing the huge negative effects the anarchy would have brought with it. I honestly can't see Scotland and Ireland going down with the ship that is the UK, when they can just hop off and leave the captain to clean up his own mess.

I dunno. If you do still want me to be the UK, then I guess I can be. I just feel I could leave it to somebody who could write better quality content for it, while I could go somewhere else where I could excel, as well. My time RPing in PoW on the MCF was essentially all just me learning what to do. Now that I know what I'm doing, I feel like I should be RPing with something I actually know I can make work with me.
Application:

Country Name: Reinnam
Government type: Dynastic monarchy
Ruler: Shezarade Pheras II
Location: The hilly peninsula in region 5.

Capital City: Samalfar
Language : Safani
Species: Saphri
Army: 3%
History:
Once, long ago, the Saphri people alone inhabited almost the entirety of the Eastern Hills region. However, as time went on, and more and more men kept moving South, they were eventually driven far South, until all that they still inhabited was the peninsula. It was here that the first King of the Saphri, Shezarade Astius the first, would hold a line against the Northern humans, and secure a safe area of land for his people to inhabit.

For a long time, the Saphri lived in the hills alone, only going down to the coast for food. Eventually, however, they would settle villages on the coast, as well, which would eventually become the major cities of Samalfar, Ashri, Kamal and Lefren, which together house almost seventy percent of the countries population.

For years, the Saphri prospered in their home, as they were rarely disturbed by the men who feared not only them, but the environment they dwell in, as well. The only major war they ever fought with was with a human king who wished to take their land, as he was certain that under the hills of Reinnam was a vast wealth of gems. Shezarade Paimus III, who was king at the time, refused to let the king mine within his borders, and, unable to quell the mans greed, the war was started. It lasted nearly ten years, but in the end, the Saphri people were able to finally force the man to surrender. In the years following, his kingdom would be conquered, and become owned by another nation, which has maintained a stable relationship with the Saphri for years.

Throughout it's entire history, Reinnam has been known for not utilizing weaponry among it's men, and instead has it's troops trained in a very fine martial art that it only possible for the Saphri to properly utilize. This art has been honed, mastered, and retaught by many different masters since the birth of the nation. Generally, it is the job of the aging Shezarade to study and adapt the art before they die, though there has been instances where it was a general that took on the responsibility instead.

Recently, a man who claimed to have been lost in a cave claimed that the legend of the gems sitting under the mountains was true, and that the Saphri would be rich if they mined it out. This sparked a debate, deciding whether or not the mining of the gems should be allowed. To the Saphri, the hills and volcano's are seen as property of the Gods, so anything within them is considered the Gods property, as well. However, for a few years now, they have been economically stagnant, and this would be a way for them to attain more wealth than they ever dreamed. The debate is still ongoing, and trained guards are stationed at almost all known mines, in order to prevent thieves from trying to steal what sits inside.

Religion :
The Saphri worship a handful of gods that each play a specific role in their culture and environment
Population:
~200'000
^ The population is made up of the entirety of the species. They also essentially only inhabit the shorelines, with only small groups being found living actually inside the mountains and hills. So the coastal cities are very densely populated, while everything inland is sparsely populated if at all.

Species Form

Name: Saphri
Physical Features: Exactly the same as humans in physical appearance, if not just more muscular on-average. Have incredible physical strength, at the downside of having shorter life spans. They are also only able to reproduce with their own kind, so their population will never exactly see a boom. A well placed kick with a running start from a Saphri can dent thin armors, and even shatter blades, if hit from the side. This doesn't mean they are invincible, however. Heavy infantry are the Saphri's weakness. At most, their kicks will knock heavily armored soldiers over, but cause no physical harm, unless extremely lucky.

Saphri have a medium skin tone, and almost always have reddish-brown hair, and green eyes. Blue eyes, as well as black hair, are extremely rare, and only seem to appear in the royal family, making it a symbol of class.

The Saphri don't live solely within their own nation, but it would be rare to see one outside of it for anything other than business. Those that do leave tend to do so for personal goals, with an understanding that they will essentially live their life alone.

Saphri are considered adults at age 15, and at age 27, reach midlife. At age 35, their physical abilities begin to lessen, and by age 40, they are usually old and frail. If, by age 45, they have not already died of paralysis due to extreme muscle atrophy, they tend to die a natural death. Any Saphri that makes it past this age is generally seen as an incarnation of a God, and worshiped until the day they die.

The royal family has a special breeder that tames the massive mountain cats that live in the area, and provides them as mounts to the kingdom.

The Saphri rarely use any weapons other than their own bodies, or wooden staves. The only blade utilized by these people is a short, this sword used by specialists for assassinations.

The Saphri do not write, nor is their language written, and most all of their literature, mythology, religion and history is passed down via oral traditions. However, as the kingdom interacts more and more with normal humans, their have been instances of these stories and histories being written down in the languages of others.

Yeah, I was hoping that the map in the OP would be updated, with the names of all the nations for easy reference. Also, Snow, what happened to your NS?

I deleted it, since there were revisions I wanted to make. I'll repost a new one soon.
So... Since I really had no idea what state Britain was ever supposed to be in, what it's limits were or exactly how bad it was, and still don't really. (I don't even know what of it all is being kept canon)

Can I perma jump back to Japan? It's isolated, has plenty of potential for good story lines now that I know what I'm doing, and because of it's location, I'll need to check with Aaron before I do anything outside of Japan, which prevents me from doing anything stupid. All in all, it's a benefit for everyone.

On top of that, I've been learning the language and all about the culture for the last three years now, so I kind of have a pretty good grasp on it.

So... What do you say?
-Derp-
Dink AaronMk said And we happily say, "Fuck you" because of it.

<3

Which is fair enough, since I happily say "Fuck you" to myself for being that dumb in the first place.

Seriously though, I promise to not post derm stuff ever again, or shall I forever be banished from the RP.
Also for the wiki...

Don't trust anything with the name Feokris attached to it, either. I had the derm, really really bad, and did lots of dumb stuff that's not canon anymore.
Ohey. Look what I found.

Name:
Hayato Nishihara
Occupation:
Translator (Yakuza runaway, but for the sake of having a job, we'll say he's the only one in his group who speaks English.)
Bio:
Hayato was born on December 6th, 2140 to a single mother, and three siblings. His father, whom he was named after, had disappeared earlier that year, managing to grab one of the last seats aboard the Fujisan, spending the family's entire savings on the ticket, leaving them in poverty. With four children, and a meager income, Hayato's mother would die later that year, leaving Hayato and his other two siblings in the care of his 12 year old brother, Yuuta.

Needless to say, growing up was harsh. Yuuta managed to get enough food for his family by breaking into homes while their owners were away, and stealing food and water. He would later go on to join the Yakuza, which aided in their continued survival tenfold. He never let his sisters know how he suddenly made so much, but, when Hayato turned nine, he let his little brother in on the secret. Knowing and seeing no other alternative, Hayato would eventually end up in the same group as his brother.

For Hayato, life in the Yakuza was fairly easy. Everyone in their group was branded with a serpent tattoo running from their eyebrow to their collar bone, making them easy to notice for the Peacekeepers in Tokyo, who received a heavy sum to keep their hands off, and turn their heads. However, this also made them easy to notice for rival gangs, who would constantly try to challenge their authority. These small fights were the hardest part of the job, but generally went smoothly, especially when the peacekeepers joined in. Generally, things were simple. Hayato would join his brother in patrolling their territory often, whenever he wasn't taking part in a smuggling job, or delivering the monthly bribe money to the Peace keepers.

It wouldn't be until one day when he was delivering the bribe money that things would turn to hell. It seemed that somebody in one of the rival groups had learned the pattern, and figured out how Hayato's group was keeping the peacekeepers away. They had set up an ambush, and burst out, taking out two of the cars ahead of Hayato, and destroying the third as everyone in the back ran out of their vehicles for cover. This would eventually lead to a huge firefight in the middle of the city, that would eventually lead the peacekeepers to join in on. When they arrived, a small group escorted Hayato to them, and brought him to the man in charge. However, when Hayato handed him the money, the peacekeeper laughed, and told him that the bribe was never received.

By the time Hayato caught on, he had taken a bullet to the chest.

A couple of days later, he would wake up in a hospital bed, chest bandaged tight, and so heavily drugged he couldn't get up. When the nurse saw this, she instantly ran out of the room, coming back moments later with Hayato's brother.

Once he came to completely, and managed to sit up, he had everything explained to him. The peacekeepers took advantage of the firefight, and said they never received the money, and that Hayato had died before he could deliver it. Because they didn't have the bribe money, the Peacekeepers raided the Yakuza's base, killing almost eighty percent of their members. Those that survived were those away on jobs, or those who were at a smaller base outside of the city.

It was then explained to Hayato that the bullet had apparently managed to miss his heart and all major arteries, and only barely damage his lung. He had somehow survived on fools luck.

A couple of weeks later, Hayato had finally been discharged, and was taken to a small safe house, where only seven other members were. At this point, it was explained to him that the peacekeepers were now hunting anybody and everybody who had the serpent tattoo on their face, and that the message had been sent around the globe, so even fleeing the country wasn't an option. In addition, and tattoo parlor with the machinery to remove a tattoo was under heavy surveillance. As it was, they were not going to be able to survive, and booking a flight to Mars wasn't an option, either.

With no other choice, Hayato's brother booked them a flight among the Olympus, who accepted almost anyone with their lax background checks. Together, the nine of them would flee Earth, and start a new life for themselves on Invictus.

When it finally came time for their departure, the small remnants of the Yakuza group would escape Earth, taking with them only a few stashed belongings, and what little they still owned. Yuuta laughed to himself, and finally told Hayato how their father escaped, and sat there, wondering to himself if it was for similar reasons. Yuuta had gained some new found hope that their father wasn't a terrible person who abandoned them, and simply had to escape the planet, same as them.

During the escape from the Olympus, Hayato and Yuuta ended up getting split up. Yuuta would arrive at landfall with three of the groups members, but Hayato and the others were not so lucky. While flying down to the planet, their pod would get rammed into by another, sending them flying off track, to the West of Landfall. The last thing any of them saw before meeting with the surface would be strange trees being pulverized against the front of the pod.

Starting location: West of landfall, just beyond the greenery surrounding the ocean.
I lied before. This is Feo. That other name was dumb.
