Cedric stands at 190.5cm and weighs 100kg. He doesn’t actually wear the necklace in the photo
Personality: Between the years he spent training with his father followed by immediately falling into work as hired muscle, Cedric’s personality became that of strict discipline. This was very apparent during his first few years as an adult, though the time he was under contract with Leo softened it a bit. He can appreciate humor, however cracking a joke himself is rare, and understands that periods of rest can be beneficial.
Background: Cedric’s early life was relatively uneventful. From a young age his father began training him the martial art style known as Fish-Man Karate. This training consumed his life for several years. He and his father would start before the sun fully rose over the horizon and wouldn’t finish until it had already set. Free time was a luxury only given once a week. Rather than use this time to relax Cedric instead took to the sea on these days, spending hours exploring the ocean surrounding their home.
His training with his father ended when he turned 18, not because he had mastered the fighting style but because his father believed that the only way for Cedric to continue to improve would be to go out on his own and get practical experience with it. They did not simply kick him out, instead they asked one of their close friends to provide Cedric with transportation to a larger town. Upon his arrival he began taking on any jobs he could find, most of which involved acting as protection for merchants due to the highly dangerous nature of the oceans.
He spent four years working as hired muscle for various ships, which typically were just for one time gigs. However by the time he was 22 he had started making a name for himself as reliable protection and was approached for an unusual job, at least for him. The first oddity was the fact that the man requesting him was a human merchant, up until this point he had been working exclusively for other Fish-Men. His potential employer though didn’t seem to care what his race was, just that he was efficient. The second unique aspect was that he was being asked on for a long term contract. He would act as a bodyguard for Leo and his supplies for a period of one year and at the end could decide if he wanted to renew the deal.
In total Cedric spent a little under four years sailing with Leo, in which time the two had become friends. For a while he actually had been harboring the idea of simply staying indefinitely. It gave him plenty of opportunities to gain more experience in using his fighting style in live combat and the pay was much more than he had been earning before. This all changed when he caught wind of the fact that the Marines were recruiting, anyone and everyone that they could. He simply could not pass up the chance as he knew that it would serve as the perfect means of testing how far he had come. Leo even allowed him out of his contract early, though to be fair Cedric paid him a substantial fee for the inconvenience. He then made his way to Marineford to sign up.
Skills: Fish-Man Karate- A martial art that is practiced by certain skilled members of the Fish-Man race. While deadly enough on land, Fish-Man Karate has a number of devastating underwater moves designed to be suitable with the Fish-Man strength and speed along with the mobility that goes while under water and, in some cases, a fish-man's personal adaptation (fins, teeth, etc.).
Shipwright- While sailing with Leo it was suggested to Cedric that he apprentice under the shipwright during his downtime. He was completely onboard with this idea as it gave him something to do rather than waste time. With his disciplined attitude he took quickly to the craft. With nearly four years spent helping fix the ship he has become adept at the art.
Techniques: Hundred Brick Fist- A hard punch that can send an opponent flying. It is said that it is strong enough that it can break through 100 bricks.
Forearm Sledge- Cedric twists and slams his forearm into the back of his opponents neck.
Backfoot Jawbreaker- Done underwater, an inner-sole kick to the opponent's chin.
Shipwrecking Punch- Due to his experience as a shipwright Cedric is capable of identifying potential weak points in a ship. After this process he proceeds to attack one of the weak points, aiming to either aid in sinking the ship or disabling it.
Name: Leo Peyton, Leo "Ship Wrecker" Peyton Age: 28 Gender: Male
Race: Human Height & Weight: 6’3” 210lbs
Personality: Leo is a pirate born and raised and his personality reflects this. Most of the time he is more than happy to walk around with a broad grin on his face and food or drink in hand. He loves every aspect of the pirate lifestyle, the freedom, the booze, shore leave, women, and fighting. Especially fighting. The start of a battle, whether a drunken brawl or intense naval combat with other pirates/marines, causes his grin to grow even larger. He knows all too well that any fight could be his last, but he isn’t willing or able to let that deter him from having a good time. Life is too short to not enjoy it and a pirate’s life is even shorter.
This mentality leads him into doing things he enjoys in excessive amounts. This lead to some trouble when he was younger as he would be far too drunk to fight with any semblance of skill. With age this has tempered due to a high tolerance to alcohol.
Bounty: B20,000,000 Leo had already started building a bounty during his time spent with his previous crew but it didn’t grow to its current size until the past year. His crew had gotten into a battle with a small fleet of Marine ships and during the battle he managed to sink two of the vessels with his chains by punching holes into their hulls.
Origin Story: Leo’s entire existence has been surrounded by the pirate lifestyle as every member of his family, that he knows of, have been pirates for years. His father was the captain of his own ship, which is where Leo spent a majority of his childhood along with his three older brothers. It was tradition for his family to serve under a relative, typically a father, until they were ready to go out on their own. This was the case for his brothers, his brother Cedric however requested that Leo come with him rather than formally join their father’s crew.
While confused about this Leo didn’t raise any fuss over the choice as he and Cedric were closer than he was with his other brothers. So for the next few years he sailed with the Sawblade Pirates, named as such due to Cedric’s epithet of “The Sawblade” since he fought with a serrated sword. They primarily relied on hit and run tactics when engaging in naval combat, disabling their opponents ships before boarding them. While none of the Sawblade Pirates were against killing they tried to avoid it whenever possible. Up until a couple of months ago they had been successful in avoiding the few Marine ships they occasionally ran into.
This all changed when they ended up being ambushed by a group of Marines consisting of six ships. With the help of Leo managing to sink two of the ships with his chains and favorable winds they managed to stay ahead of the remaining Marines for a while. Luck did not stay with them however as the winds began to shift. Knowing they would be overrun sooner rather than later Cedric ordered Leo to escape via a small raft. Despite his protests Cedric wouldn’t budge and Leo knew better than to disobey an order from his Captain. So he escaped, and watched in the distance as his brother’s ship was boarded.
That was the last time he saw his brother and as far as Leo knows Cedric did not survive the encounter. About a month ago he ran into Sunny, who he had actually met previously while sailing with the Sawblade Pirates. It was brief, but upon hearing that he was forming a crew Leo leapt at the chance. He rather have one familiar face that be surrounded by strangers.
Abilities:
Jara Jara No Mi: Haven eaten the Jara Jara no Mi fruit, Leo is capable of producing chains from his body that are his main method of attacking. At present he can only control a few at a time and he is only able to change the ends into heavy weights to increase the blunt force of his strikes. He also is not yet able to change the material of the chain. Normally he wraps his fists in the chains to increase his striking power, but when needed he uses them like whips.
Enhanced Strength: Leo possesses strength greater than the average human which allows him to swing his chains with more force and add additional power behind his strikes.
Enhanced Endurance: Along with being stronger than the average guy, Leo is also able to sustain more damage before dropping. This served him very well in his younger years when he got in more than his fair share of brawls and it continues to benefit him as a pirate.
Muay Thai Proficiency: Since a young age Leo has been trained in the art of Muay Thai, though he is far from mastering it. With the ability to create chains from his body he is now able to help prevent some of the injuries this style leads to, protecting his hands and shins while increase his damage. He cannot cover his knees or elbows however as it would restrict the movement needed.
Inventory: The clothes on his back along with a few spares. The chains he wears around his waist and neck. While these were created with his ability they are not used for combat, just accessories.
@pr3acher Excellent! And yeah I figured he should have one, I just am horrible at that. I know I sent you a message regarding it, but if anyone here as any ideas for a good moniker feel free to let me hear them!

I am tentatively putting forth interest in this, it will depend on whether or not I manage to figure out a good character. But I love the concept and all of the characters I have seen so far.
I am definitely interested in this and it is the first thing that has caught my interest as of my recent return to the Guild. I will start thinking up a character, though I already have some ideas.
