No matter what she was doing or working on Lea would always stop working and clean up long enough before mealtime that she could go into the kitchen and listen to the chef prepare the meal. Over time she started helping him out by letting him know when something was done cooking, or by letting him know that he had poured out too much of something, etc. After a while the chef started letting her do the measuring. When her mom came in and it seen that the dog had no details other than the spot she helped Terry figure out how to paint the dogs eyes, nose, mouth, inner ears, and lines between the toes. That was when she started letting her mom teach her how to paint so that she could paint Lea's statues without ruining the textures that Lea had created.
