Eva kept her eyes adverted while Gippal said the town might be that way. As they started walking she noticed Braska hesitating to let her go ahead. She gave a tiny smile and a slight red appeared in her cheeks before slipping by him and next to Gippal on the other side. As they all walked side by side, with Gippal in the middle. Braska then went on to explain what he had been doing. She gave a weird look as he mentioned a dark wizard and a fiend and a chicken... but it wasn't directed at him, but while she looked ahead. That definitely was strange.
Gippal gave a funny smile at Eva as she zipped up next to him, acting more like she did when he met her two years ago. Shaking his head with the smile he looked at Braska as he mentioned that things were basically normal for him. the odd combination of an issue. He chuckled, "I bet." Agreeing it might be a long story. But he raised a finger. "But From what I heard, was the Besaid Aurochs won the last few tourneys." Trying to rub it with a big smile.
When he was asked what he had been up to he sighed, looking forward. "Most definitely a longer story." He was about to give a short version, but that's when he heard the roar of a huge fiend. Perking up he said, "No time for that now, Someone might be in trouble!" They would have to move fast, and Eva wasn't a fast runner, especially with her dress. He looked to her and said, "I'm gunna have to carry you is that alright?"
Eva blushed at the thought but quickly nodded, allowing him to scoop her up in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he turned to Braska and jerked his head. "Come on!" And despite carrying her, he was still pretty quick on his feet. All the while in his arms she had a hard time keeping a blush off her face. She didn't care he was running, being in his arms just felt good.
Teh three of them blindly raced in the direction they thought they heard the roar, and only a few minutes later saw a large flash of a fire. Which pinpointed the location, but when they got there, there was only a massive fiend slowly disappearing into Pyreflies. Gippal let her down gently onto her feet while he went over and crouched down, his eyes studying the dirt. After a minute he straightened up while still crouched, his arms resting on his thighs. "looks like only one person fought this Fiend, He must be pretty tough, that Fiend is a nasty bugger."
Urick listened to them as they offered their thoughts on what he said, Fiends have been becoming worse, but he didn't think it was because of the lack of summoners. This must have been the doing of Thane, and bringing the aeons back, and his threat of returning sin. Perhaps the Fiends could feel it as well...
Nai decided to meditate, which was something Urick wish he could of done at the moment. He rolled his shoulders, and as he did he noticed Alex favoring her shoulder. He slowed down till he was right next to her and motioned with his hands to let him take over. Despite everything he was actually in pretty good shape. "Let..Me." he said softly as he touched her shoulder gently, indicating he noticed her favor it.
It was then he heard a Roar in the distance. They were close actually...

Her lips pursed and eyes narrowed as the man tried to reason with her by shaking hsi head and waving his hands back and forth. Before he said anything though she glanced over to see someone running towards them, She let out a gasp as the man jumped out infront of her and landed on one knee facing her would be pervert. When he took her hand she couldn't help her face turning red. She had to admit, she had had dreams like this during her two years with him. Everytime it happened she felt like a little schoolgirl. He looked back and asked if she was ok, She nodded, an grew concerned when she saw the blood on his face and in his eye. He looked back forward and after a moment he let his sword drop. Saying "Damnit Braska..." She pulled her head back in surprise. He knew this man? Apparently so as he said jokingly "No mean's no." What did he normally carry away knocked out women? She thought to herself. Only to realize it was a joke.

It was this point she knelt down next to him, not wanting to let go of his hand but had to while she took her own sleeve and wiped the blood from his face. While she did she softly said, "Enough Gippal..." She smiled softly when their red eyes connected. "You always push yourself too hard." whispered sadly. Once done she whispered a cure, sealing up the wound and used it once more on his body. He would be bruised but at least he wouldn't die.

Eva was terrified as she was pulled from Urick's strong grip. Yelling, "NONONONNONONONONONONONO!" But as soon as he hit the water he was gone, And even when she was under she tried to find him but the current from the Squids body was pulling her towards it. She struggled as much as she could but it was no use, Her head hit something hard and knocked her out cold.
She didn't have any dream.... it was black until she felt movement. Someone was asking something. She didn't know what. She moaned as Braska had picked her up but didn't do much as he walked with her in her arms. Slowly she came back to her senses, though the sun hurted her eyes so she didn't want to open them. She felt the warmth of the firm body against her cheek and pushed more against it, giving her some more comfort. She reached up and placed a hand on his chest over his heart, her cool thin fingers running down slightly, But they stopped suddenly. Wait. This wasn't Gippal. She opened her eyes wide as she looked at the bare chested chiseled chest in front of her, her eyes hidden from the mans view as her hair had covered her face. There was a large tattoo on the mans chest, that looked familiar but she was freaking out as she couldn't realize where it was from.
She looked up at the man's face, blacked out from the sun for a moment before her eyes readjusted. Her face was blank as her wide red eyes blinked four times. Suddenly it clicked, She was in another mans arms, not that bad looking, but it was a stranger. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
She shrieked and started slapping, punching and hitting the man who held her. Wriggling free she fell to the ground before scurrying away as fast as she could. till she managed to grab a wood plank. She then got to her knees and held the wood up in defense, totally holding it awkwardly> "PERVERT!" She yelled. Quickly checking her clothes to see if they were covering her still.
She stood up holding the wood blank threateningly at him. "Who are you! And where Am I? Where Are my friends?!" Her legs were shaking partially from being afraid and partially because she was still tired.

@Sophitia It wasn't as much of letting him as being passed out on the ground and it happening haha, but I enjoy giving people something interesting to read and if I gotta have a character suffer, it just gives him something new to overcome and adds a few new adjectives to his character.

Well I was saying you allowed it to happen. I don't see many writers do that to their own characters. Just making an observation. I totally agree though makes for more interesting writing going through this 'suffering' when he wakes up.

The entire time on deck...Eva Froze. She had shrunken back against the wall of the ice barrior Nai had put up but she didn't hear anything they said. She was horrified at the squid's tentacles above her. She didn't know why it was now she froze but perhaps it was seeing how massive it was to the ship which was what got her.
Suddenly one of the tentacles swung and smashed the mast, causing it to fall towards them. Her eyes wide in terror as her short life (that she could remember) flashed before her eyes. She put up her hands in a vain attempt to some how stop it. squeezing her eyes shut she waited for the inevitable.
She heard a Grunt and after that a crash. Peaking her head out of the 3 way barrier Nai put up she saw Urick With the Mast on his shoulder. The mast was just above her head. Alex was on the ground, and it looked like Urick saved her, all of them. The fact he managed to even catch the mast was an amazing feat in it's self, but he managed to lift it and throw it to the side.
She was surprised on how Alex reacted at Urick. The man just saved their lives and she was yelling at him? Why now of all times. She realized now she was out of her frozen state and heard Urick's plans, Shaking her head Violently she didn't want to leave either of them, or Anyone else on the ship for that matter. She started her summons before even Alex asked her if they could fly.
Once the aeon came down it immediately began to attack the remaining enemies nearby, giving them time to think. Not much. She saw a man fly into the air and perform a limit break, an explosion of multiple balls crashing down on teh squid, then another explosion as she noticed Sifen running up behind her, asking her a weird question, The barrier was open to the air.
She had pointed to the water for him at the mention of Saina, but suddenly both her and the man were pulled under. Suddenly Alex was asking them what they thought! What ABOUT WHAT! Her hands came up to her head, she wasn't a great swimmer and Alex was the only one. That she knew of right here.
"We are not leaving!" She said stubbornly.
