--- Somewhere out in the deep cosmos, amongst a galaxy of dead planets,
Torn to pieces and scarred by glowing Amaranthine energy.... ---
Dane: *walks amongst a barren wasteland of a planet, the scarf wrapped around him barely shielding his face from the whipping sands of a now dried and long gone ocean*
..It has to be here, he can't have found it yet.
*his paces quickens upon his sighting of a large, pyramid adjacent structure floating a mile ahead of him, and a few feet off the ground*
..If he has, I may have doomed us all...
*he stops for a moment, sensing an energy spike just several feet behind him, and shortly after that, a portal tears open, revealing King*
...
*Dane turns around, his aura seeming warping spacetime a short distance around him, creating a temporal effect that shows several versions of him attempting several different actions, one immediately turning to throw a dagger in King's direction, another pulls out a rifle, shooting him in the shoulder. one slides under him, attempting to cut where his hamstrings would be, and the last remains in place, patiently awaiting this foul demon of the mind's next move*
King: *grins, walking straight through each of the attacks, the blades glancing him without effect, and the bullets bouncing off his armor*
What a greeting, Timekeeper. one of many, might I add. though I'd venture to say that Timeline is a much more effective user. he would've ran from me, never giving me the chance at confrontation. yet you face me, with your pitiful might.
Dane: You may not be a demon I alone can exercise, but I will delay your so-called 'inevitability'.
*rushes king with a solid fist strike to the solar plexus and another to the sternum in an attempt to both crack bone and eviscerate his internal organs, but the fists meet a substance harder than diamonds, crushing themselves under the reverberation of the energy of impact. manipulating reality to reset every broken bone and using his own energy to instantly fuse the pieces back in their natural order as well as stringing together various muscle and sinew, he attempts to warp reality on King's forehead, thrusting a two-finger out fist into the hole like a spear*
King: *catches the spear-like thrust attack with two fingers of his own, wrapped around the hand like a hook, as he tosses Dane like a weightless object into the pyramidlike building's outer surface, cracking it somewhat upon impact*
Continue to wage this fight against me as you have, and you will go out like the whimpering dog you are. weak and alone. Hear what I must say before you strike me.
Dane: *the impact knocked any semblance of breath from his already worn lungs, having walked these dead planets in search for the mysterious untold object for over ten days, surviving by rationing any creatures he could find. this is the most mortal and human he had felt in a long time, but this wasn't how he wanted this to happen. anything but this.... anyone but him. once he caught his breath again, he floated down from the structure and just above King, glaring at him with murderous intent like an angry god above an insolent creation*
You come to my domain to spread your chaotic and fruitless ways, and when my people reject your nonsense... you slaughtered them like animals. Even hell is too good a place for a monster like you. lucky for you... I know just the place. and I know just the person to put you there. I can't wait to see the one you view as your inferior bury you, along with your demonic kin.
King: *grins, chuckling at the ramblings from this disoriented and frustrated being*
I alone will usher in a new age. the Tier Five should never have regained authority... it is my very duty to existence to eliminate them, and bring in an age of glory and perfection.
Dane: well then, pardon me as I bear my fangs towards the false god that you proclaim you are.
*the clash continues, violent whips and torrents of energy continue to dice the remnant of the planets to ashes around them*
*deep within the structure, an energy begins to stir, the stagnant and still air within picking up as if guided by the planet itself. even deeper within, the air becomes like a soft wind, humming softly around a enormous crystal within, a being no larger than Dane himself seemingly frozen in time. however...
Its eyes slowly open, revealing a deep purple color, similar to that of the amaranthine*
