@Sho Minazuki (Mentioned) While most of the Shrine was desperate to move, Kazumi's lonely figure listhlessly observed the commotion from his relatively hidden position over the Shrine's roof, quietly watching the whole process without even being tempted to move from his position, clearly unwilling to stop his sunbathing to join his designated group. "What a pain." he complained in the same emotionless tone as ever before sighing loudly, clearly - at least as clearly as the permanently indifferent youkai expressed himself - annoyed by how the whole shrine sprung into life as the Omniyouji heard of the sudden "calamity" - if a solitary Youkai wjo didn't even reach the fourth grade could be called as such - that targeted a nearby village, as if the whole issue was big to the point of being some major event - an opinion that was fairly exaggerated to say the least, specially for someone such as Kazumi, who was accostumied with the much more active Youkai community of Kyoto.
His unwillingness to do anything could clearly be sensesd as he slowly started to rise from his position, ultimately sitting down on the edge of the roof and observing as his own omnyouji - Keito - departed towards the mission area, sloppishly stretching his arms as he tried to get rid of the sudden urge to go back to sleep, ultimately letting out yet another sigh before grudgingly getting up, knowing that he didn't have any choice other than ignoring his listlessness and accompanying the rest of the group... After enjoying his sloth for a bit longer.
When finally managed to find the will to actually move towards the danger area, most of the groups had already long since neared the targeted area's surroundings, forcing him to speed up quite a bit to try to reach them, using the full strength of his human form to leap through the city's roofs. Hopefully, he'd manage to get there before things got out of hand.
It'd make us pretty much the A team. If you're set on it, we'll discuss the Kyoto thing.
Sounds pretty fun, tbh. Just PM me and we can discuss the details as soon as possible (though that may take a while, since I'll be out for quite a bit to commemorate new year).
Oh right, as a previous onmyouji I should already have my shikigami. I was originally matched with Kazumi, which is fine, a formerly incredibly powerful snake yokai that has weakened over the desire to no longer consume and devour actually sounds like a perfect match for Keito as a partner, both morality and character type make them a hard-boiled duo, but I also notice no one else has really properly decided on their pairs either. Given Raging Fenrir's notes on Yukine, she's also a likely candidate, but usability-wise, Kyorinrin's ability to store knowledge in such a manner is useful for a detective.
Hmmmmmmmm. Well those are the strongest matches for me. Waniguchi can weaponize noise, but there's not much synergy besides tangential combat synergy.
But Keito's meeting with them would've been years ago in Kyoto while learning at the Narumi Detective Agency, so I guess whoever is most compatible with that story would be best.
I think Keito and Kazumi would actually work pretty well as a duo, tbh. I'd be more than willing to make them partners.
I thought you were forbidding being a Catholic entirely. But to be honest, I do not like elemental magic systems unless it's Avatar: The Last Airbender or Final Fantasy (and even that is just not disliked; I feel little fondness for it). So Samuru is still not a good fit for the game and I don't actually want to play anyone else.
Having an Alignment doesn't really means that you'll use magic centered around the element though? It's more like the kind of thing that defines your path, wbat you're going to focus on using (i.e. magic based offense would be yang fire, physical based offense Yang fire and etcetera. It's all detailed in the operating info hider). It absolutely doesn't dictates the element you're going to use or shit like that.
I mean, that shit isn't even hard to infer. My accepted Yin Fire character literally controls water.
Name: Kazumi Ōmiwa Nickname(s): Micchan (Nickname, given by his former master); Gluttonous Calamity (Former Title); White Snake of Mt. Miwa (Former Title) Preferred Gender: Male Sexuality: Heteroromantic Demisexual Appearance: Human - As a human, Kazumi assumes the appearance of a somehow delicate looking young man standing at around 1,74 m (5'8½") with a pale skin tone and lean build. He has bright red eyes with vertically slitted pupils - remniscent of his identity as an Uwabami - and his hair is, much like his scales, pure white and, due to his own lack of willingness to worry about It, usually wore in a lazy fashion, letting his bangs - that can easily reach his chin length in the sides and reach the upper part of his nose in the center - freely fall over his face. Youkai - As a youkai, Kazumi assumes the appearance of an abnormaly large white snake, reaching overwhelming 12.8 m (42 ft) in length and having enough width to easily swallow a horse without even fully stretching his mouth - size that he mentions as being "pretty small" when compared to his former size. Much like his human form, his youkai form has bright red eyes. Shikigami?: Yes Onmyouji: TBD Tier: 3 - Formerly 4, but largely weakened due to his unwillingness to devour other beings. Alignment: Yin Fire Sigil:
Powers: In his human form, Kazumi's fighting style largely relies on his overwhelming physical prowess - partially carried over even while retaining his considerably smaller human form - to deliever vicious quick blows in an abnormally fast speed to instantly cause great damage to less durable enemies, largely making use of the nimbleness of this form to overcome the large reduction of durability caused by lacking his scales. In his Youkai form, Kazumi either makes direct use of his overwhelming size and weight to directly crush smaller beings with his body, makes use of a similar tatic as constrictor snakes, latching into it's targets body through the use of his recurve rows of teeth and using his body to coil around the target and make use of it's abnormally strong body to "squeeze" the victim to death - though finding a target for such a technique is a challenge on itself, since the sheer size of Kazumi's body makes the whole process somehow redundand when fighting smaller beings - or directly swallows his target whole. On the opposite of his human form, though, his snake form is terribly slow on earth and terrifyingly troublesome to maneuver, being tremendously inconvenient when trying to fight in an urban environment.
Shapeshifting: Being a Uwabami, Kazumi naturally has the ability to change his form to suit his needs, being able to not only change between human and youkai form but also assume the form of a pletora of different animals or even objects, though doing so greatly reduces his natural advantages. He is also known to be able to change the size of his snake form, being able to freely assume smaler forms to avoid causing much environmental damage while moving around in his yokai form. Snake Charmer: Being a sovereign amongst snakes, Kazumi only has the ability to communicate with snakes and summon them to his aid whenever he wants but also seems to naturally attract those beings, to the point of randomly finding himself surrounded by snakes whenever he decides to visit the countryside. Apparently, this ability also affects snake-like youkai, making them naturally feel some goodwill or even attraction towards him. Water Affinity: Kazumi seems to naturally hold some power over water, not only being completely immune to pressure and easily breathing under water but also capable of controlling water to a certain extent. With that being said, while at his peak he could easily cause floods and control large volumes of water, it seems that his decision to avoid eating other sentient beings and the weakning brought by doing so for a few centuries made him unnable to make use of most of his influence over water, making it useless for anything other than small party tricks. Devouring: As expected of a being known for their unlimited gluttony, every Uwabami has the ability to not only consume an endless amount of pretty much anything - for the giant snakes have a diet that varies from animals to humans, other youkais or even the local vegetation as long as they feel like it - but also seen to be capable of converting all this matter into strength, using it to gradually grow bigger. With that being said, this trait is hardly advantageous for the species as not only the benefits they gain from eathing anything other than beings with vast spiritual energy such as talented humans, Omniyouji or other youkai, is mostly negligible, hardly worth the bother, but the after effects of failing to do so seen to be specially harmful, greatly weakening them after large periods of "abstinence" - something that is clearly seen by how Kazumi actually dropped a whole grade after deciding to stop eating sentient beings. Physical Prowess: Being a member of a species known for their remarkable strength, Kazumi naturally has an ungodly amount of strength, being able to content with an oni - a kind of Youkai known for their remarkable strength - even in his human form - quite the feat considering that he is currently greatly weakened compared to his former self.
History: TBR Personality: If asked to describe Kazumi in a single word, most of his acquaintances would certainly choose the word "misleading" as soon as possible. That being said, the why for this quick choice of wording isn't exactly mysterious even for anyone that manage to forcefully interact with Kazumi until the true self of the man appears, as the behaviour of the ancient youkai isn nowhere near what one would expect from his constantly emotionless face, being, in fact, the exact opposite of what his face constantly displays: Mischievous, easygoing and surprisingly fun-loving, Kazumi has a naturally pleasant character, treating pretty much anyone that isn't inherently hostile to him in a friendly manner in despite of their standing or species (though that's hardly noticeable since even them his tone stays neutral) and seens to be an inherently gentle and peace loving individual, to the point of refusing to devour other sentient beings in despite of the fact that doing so would make him considerably stronger. Other: - Kazumi seems to be extremely fond of using his inherently emotionless countenance to utter the most absurd things while maintaining a straight face, largely enjoying the shocked reactions of those who don't know his true self. - In despite of his identity as an Uwabami - a kind of Youkai known for their extreme gluttony and fondness of eating human beings - Kazumi seems to be strongly against eating sentient beings. - His current alias, Kazumi Omiwa, is naturally not the original name of the White Snake, being, in fact, the name given to him by a Shinto Priest who once befriended him. - Pardon my spirits
