Why do I insist on asking idiotic questions? It's just going to make me feel more like an idiot.

Bio

Well that poem was a fun place holder but I guess I should put in a real bio.

Well to start off, I'm a 22 year old male and writing is a huge hobby of mine in general. I've been rp'ing close to about 8 years now with various outlets but since it's hard to find partners after a while I decided to join up on a forum. I hate rp'ing in fandoms that allow for non-original content so you won't find me going into any Naruto or Star Wars rp's that take place in the era of the show or attempting to just live out the in show scenes. I hate posting less than I can describe when it comes to my rp's, and love to develop expansive in depth worlds. All this lead to me trying to organize open world rp scenarios, but time's a' wastin' and I want to get my writing fix.

I don't really have any genres I won't rp if I find them interesting, but I definitely prefer Sci-fi and Fantasy settings. Really I'm not sure what else to put here, I'm having trouble finding rp's to get involved in and I'm waiting to see if mine will go anywhere before I give up pitching ideas. I prefer characters that talk over using brute strength, and this usually lands me the role as the Rogue in games such as D&D or literally every rpg ever. I don't mind playing female characters at all and I have several I love to play, but not many males that I don't just make as I go. I am very willing to go 18+, feel free to approach me with pitches.

I know I'm forgetting something... I'll come back to this.

Hey friends, spending time with family a lot this week will have my 2 pending responses up tomorrow! Enjoy the holiday my mages!
@Spirit Hate to make you rewrite your post, but I had dashed out a post about Silias getting to class somewhere about a week ago. Check page 4 of the IC near the bottom of the page.

EDIT: Holy crap, that was almost two weeks ago. I'm losing my grip on how much time is passing.

Yeah I feel ya I'm having the same problems with time.
@Scarescrow

The master giggled to herself before speaking, "This class as the name suggests focuses on magical application. The usage of magic in creative and useful ways. It also covers methods of using magic that are... A tad more complex? Focuses, puzzles, interesting and less conventional enchantments etc. As well as methods of casting that could be considered unconventional." She extended her pale fingers and carved a light brown character into the air diagonal to the table, then immediately behind it a light pink character. Both glowed mainly a palish blue white color, but had a distinct outline of the colors that defined them. She then placed her hand behind them and weaved a new character slightly off in a new direction that glowed a pale green. She took a deep breath and began to flow the magic through the characters. Fine sand began to pour out of the brown character as an intense heat was felt from the pink, the sand turning into flakes of white hot molten earth as the third green character blew an intense vortex of wind confined to the molten earth. The material began to spin in the vortex as she sliced the sand and heat characters from the air and maintained the vortex. When she had pulled away and struck the character, a vertically long crooked cup like glass sculpture was left in it's place. She then weaved a pale blue character in the air above the hole of the figure, and flowed magic through it to produce water. What was left of her performance was a simple glass of water.

"Utility is the primary focus of this class. Performance, usage, application. Here you are encouraged to think outside the box my youngling. You will learn skill like making a focus, creating unique magical items, and odd spells that don't really seem to serve too many purposes, to an uncreative mind at least. If the class name strikes you as broad that's because, well, it is." She looked at her student as if waiting for anything more.

@Rune_Alchemist

"Oh and we will! You seem like a fine young lady, I'm sure this class will be right up your ally don't you worry!" The teacher gave out a laugh before her face melted into an awe of excitement and she ran over to the door to repeat this process with a few more students now beginning to enter the class. Nothing too unusual, a few boys and a few girls, some young and some a bit older. But curiously enough, Isil WAS the only High Elf in the class. One figure to stand out though was an older student, one not on the list previously taller and much more well equipped than the other students to wander in. He seemed to have purpose, and confidence. But most unusually he bowed to the teacher with a smile and a greeting as if he had known her before. This was clearly someone with more experience than a first year student.

I accidentally erased my response after a paragraph of writing. I'm bummed. Time to start that over.
<Snipped quote by MadManMoon>

The natural weapons are basically the wings from Tokyo ghoul and the tendrils the main dude has. Each deal 1d6 + dex and the wings can cause bleeding and pinned. I don't plan on fighting PC's though as the whole "my character is better than yours" never stops in those kind of fights

Ok, so hey bud im the Gm. So we're gonna talk this one out real fast and you are more than welcome to PM me anytime!

I admit the rp is going slower lately, but I think that's just because I underestimated how hard it would be to interact with such a large group as one pivotal force. I have to wait on like 6 people before I act and that can be hard. I didn't anticipate the speed to drop. But once this teacher intro is done and I've established who you go to for what, then we're back to the way the rp was at first where you the players openly wander the Arcanium itself and talk to me for advice and information or character interaction with teachers.

Now as for Psionics, yeah MMM is right. I never brought them up in our conversations about the extended lore simply because the way that the world is set up, there are no psions. There are things that can be made into Psion LIKE things. Such as a magical human humunculus or something. But you would have to detail what you want to do with it. My lore in this rp is not strict as there is a handful of stuff I have to be flexible in allowing to be winged. But the comment on the Tokyo Ghoul thing is concerning and I would like you to elaborate on the concepts and abilities of this custom race. I like to think I'm an approachable DM and I like to meet my players half way on things but you have to be open to my reviews and suggestions.

I'm happy you're interested, we'd love to include you!
Huzzay! Not dead yet!
People alive?
Ok responded to everyone still waiting on me. And ironically, @Rune_Alchemist, yes that was actually part of the setting before you had a thought about it lol I based the location on the national park Big Sur in California, I loved the cliff sides there. Here's a picture of the thing.

This is Big Sur. It's what inspired me to make the port town the game takes place in as it's about 20 minutes away from Monterrey, my dad's family's hometown. Basically, large family history in these locations and I based this port town off this idea of a town on the ocean.

Monterey. Yeah this is what I used as a visual for a port town. Just letting you know that it was actually there before you mentioned it lol

"Master Rovi will be in very soon. He was just making a few preparations for his classes." There was a slight shuffling behind a wall. "Ah, it seems he has returned. Just give him a moment. Eat, eat! He doesn't much care for food in the classroom." He slapped his fellow dwarf on the shoulder as he laughed before digging into his sandwich.

@Scarescrow

The Rune Weaver lost her focus and the sign dissolved in mid air. "Oh! I apologize youngling. I did not notice you enter the room." She stood gracefully and made her way to her new student and sat down so that she was speaking directly to her. "This question of making others into a focus... This is troubling. Very troubling. Making others into a conduit to enhance your own magic is," Her pause was concerned and pained at the thought, "Less than admirable. It is even considered by some as a taboo... But where I come from, this could also be a bond of love. A connection shared between two people so powerful that their life essence itself is bound only to the aid of their other." She rolled up her sleeves and her fingers glowed again. "Now, as for where I hail from." She drew a very skillfully yet swiftly drawn map in the air that was immediately recognized as the continent they were on, the world as they knew it. "Across the many seas, past the fog that cuts the ocean in two," She drew small lines to the right of the map, "Far to the east. My homeland." She drew another medium sized land mass that was rather round but had a few breaks in the shape with a few islands off it's coast. "This is where I hail from. The Continent of Jiayun. Roughly translating to Homeland. It's cut off from the rest of the world by a powerful illusion spell that's part of a seal, it makes those in the land to perceive the edge of the barrier as the edge of the World itself. Even the bravest of the brave do not dare to venture past this point."

@Rune_Alchemist

Her thought was actually well founded, out the window there was the south face of the school facing the cliff side overlooking the ocean. A large meadow of flowers and grass that rustled in the wind was immediately noticeable as untouched and peaceful. The teacher made her way over to her, "Oh my! I am so excited for the lessons this year. Today I'll be lecturing on what restoration magic truly is.
And as a bonus I'll be handing out a special present for all of you lovely students."
She walked around the room excitedly.
