Yeah, the old one closed because Phantom realied he'd made some serious mistakes in his plotline, information availability and rules for the characters - such as all of them having to have tragic backstories, which doesn't particularly lend towards team players.
We'll see what Phantom thinks of the idea for the posting order, but I don't particularly have a problem with it. It might be a bit difficult keeping track of whether the new round has started or not though.
I'll have a read through Tamn and see what you mean by her semblance and fighting style.
Edit: I'm not seeing a problem with the fighting style and semblance combination, as it seems to me that she'd use the second form of movement (the roller blading thing) to move very quickly towards and around her opponent, hitting them hard and then moving out of the way. Somewhat like a mix between Ruby and Weiss's fighting style, if you need an example.

Background: Kaltrina’s father was a hacker affiliated with a minor gang in outer Vacuo called Autolycus. She is the result of a one-night stand, and was left behind by her mother for her father raise as a newborn. Her father left her care to her older brother Flavio Goban who was eleven years older than her, in between his jobs with Autolycus and training Flavio as a hacker. Autolycus was wiped out by a rival gang when Kaltrina was just 2, just before Flavio was due to start at Signal and begin training as a Hunter. Flavio hid himself and Kaltrina in a linen closet and kept her quiet by smothering her face in his chest. She almost died from suffocation before Flavio realised she couldn't breathe, resulting in extremely minor brain damage that affects how she thinks. Flavio scrapped the idea of becoming a Hunter to raise Kaltrina, as the rest of the gang was either dead or scattered, and in the chaos after the attack he slipped away and got the siblings started on their new life under new names - Cereza and Midas Floreciente. Cereza’s life for the next eleven years was one of constantly moving from safehouse to safehouse, her brother having become paranoid that someone would link the pair to the old gang, Autolycus. It was just herself and Midas, with the occasional teacher and tutors that never lasted long before they were paid and left. This continued, even past Cereza’s 13th birthday. Rather than sending her to combat school, Midas hired private tutors to teach her the stuff she would need to know to become a Hunter, and taught her all the skills he himself knew - including programming and hacking. He wanted for her to have a better life than that of a criminal. She soaked up everything Midas had to teach her, discovering a love for all things electrical and computerised, and that the greatest weapon at her disposal were her fingers. It was through careful experimentation on her part with her Aura, which was unlocked at the age of 14, when she discovered her semblance. Afterwards computer knowledge came even quicker to her, and she was soon moving from the software portion of computers onto the hardware portion. It was by complete accident that she created the first specialised computer chip that cut the aura drain she experienced when using her semblance on a computer installed with the chip. She quickly incorporated the chip into all her technology, and had Midas craft her a weapon that would be impossible for anyone but her to use. In the last year of her Signal-level studies, her brother started up a new hacker’s gang and a few of the new recruits occasionally came to their safe house, but never for long. Midas was careful to keep her away from the criminal side of things, not wanting her to be involved. She enrolled for Beacon as soon as she graduated from her private study, determined to repay her debt to her brother. Personality: Cereza has a love for all things electronic; if it has a computer then it’s even better. She can get frustrated with people, who in her mind are illogical and irrational. Hunter Extension I) Weapon
Wielder: Cereza Floreciente Maker/Smith: Midas, Cereza's older brother Type: Computerised Pivoting Tri-Blade Polearm (CPTP) Weapon Derivation: Crescent Rose, Chernabog (Bayonetta 2) Form 1: A Polearm. A collapsible shaft, the thinnest part of which is 2 inches in diametre and increases in half inch increments for each larger section. The bottom is weighted with a power supply, which powers the small computer above the handle, which in turn controls the positioning of the blades. The three blades are lined up next to each other on individual rotating pieces, which are in turn connected to the main shaft. Each blade can pivot 180 degrees front and back, and the pivots can in turn rotate 180 degrees. The blades are all straight with a single edge. The entire weapon is electronic and computer operated, built with the chip for Cereza's semblance to control it to prevent others using her weapon. Fully extended, From base to the top of the computer housing is eight feet - the pivots add an extra six inches and the pivot housing (topmost square in picture) is another four inches in height and the blades are three feet long. When the blades are fully extended upwards, the entire frame is 9'10". The blades are each 4" wide. Does not have a gun mode - it is used in conjunction with her second weapon, Droed Gwyn (details next). Holstered/Sheathed Appearance: the middle part of the shaft retracts up inside the two main pieces - where the side handle is and where the computer is housed. The lowest part retracts into the area housing the power supply. The pivots turn to sit at 90 degrees to the main body, and the blades collapse back on themselves by 8 inches and fold to lie parallel to the rest of the scythe with the edge facing inwards. The entire frame is 3'2" long and 1' wide. Features/Capabilites: All three blades are pivoting from two points - where the blades meets the pivot and where the pivot meets the main shaft. Each pivoting point can turn 180 degrees (as demonstrated in picture - it doesnt really have nine blades. I'm not that crazy). The blades can pivot regardless of whether the entire structure is extended or not. Usage: like a polearm for the most part, capable of wide slashing attacks because the blades are straight and can turn to face the oponents and piercing attacks when the blades are extended upwards. Rarely used as a traditional scythe. Mostly intended for intimidation tactics, as Cereza will move the blades as though they were fingers wiggling in anticipation when facing a human opponent. Can be used as a crude axe when in sheathed form - but its not very effective. Instead a small black box replaces the trigger mechanism with a pc and power supply installed. They slot onto specially made rails on her heel armoured and heeled boots and are then clipped in place with leather straps. The barrels are black and the magazine holsters silver, to blend with the armour attached to her boots and be passed over as decorations. They are completely non transforming. The barrel is five and a half inches longs, half an inch shorter than her heels to protect the end of the barrels from damage. They can be removed from her heels and used as standard pistols, but this takes time and cant be used effectively in battle. Holstered/Sheathed Appearance: slotted on her heels, exactly the same as the combat form. Features/Capabilites: Capable of firing elementally charges dust rounds Usage: A sneak attack weapon. She rarely uses ranged combat, but is willing to take advantage of her opponents lack of knowledge about her guns if she gets a clear shot. She also uses her legs in conjunction with Llaw Du to block attacks, but her main offensive and defensive capabilities lie in Llaw Du. User(s): Cereza Floriciente Type: Psychic Purpose: Utility Short description: She controls computers with her mind through the use of electromagnetic waves, manipulating the command system to respond to her thoughts. Visual effect: Her eyes glow neon blue; because she generally has her Semblance activated permanently it gives the illusion that her eyes are naturally that bright. Range: Medium General limitations: Can’t control too many computers at once – maximum is six computers installed with her chips, three computers not installed with her chips. Due to the presence of chips in four pieces of her tech, she is only able to control one unaffiliated computer at the moment. Trying to do more will ‘short circuit’ her Semblance – sharp pain through the temple, and deactivation of her connection with any tech at the moment. Weak to EMP blasts, which short circuits her Semblance. Doesn’t teach her how to use the tech she encounters. Maximum distance between herself and what she manipulates is currently twenty-five metres. Further practise will increase the amount of computers she can affect and the distance. Passive ability(s) (if any): Able to detect computers around her and feel their location. Her own chips are a constant presence in her mind. Active ability(s) (if any): Gives her control over functions currently installed on the computer. Can mentally command CPU’s as though she was sitting in front of them, manually inputting the command prompts. Data received or stored on a CPU is registered in her mind as her own thoughts. Notes: She has built special computer chips that can be installed on almost anything with a CPU. These chips cut down on the amount of aura used for minor manipulations to the point where she almost doesn’t feel the drain. Heavy use will still exhaust her, as will manipulating anything without one of the chips installed.

Position/Class: Lancer Landing strategy: Hooks Llaw Du around any nearby objects to slow her descent. If nothing is available, she fires Droed Gwyn at the ground to slow her descent and rolls with the impact. Fighting style: Full of quick stabs and occasionally a wide slice using the blades of Llaw Du in a reverse scythe motion. She will also rarely stab her opponents and separate the blades in opposite direction, tearing it out of them messily. Never uses Llaw Du as a traditional scythe, despite being able to angle the blades that way. Uses Droed Gwyn as a sneak attack, and rarely in the heat of combat unless she is disarmed. She cannot use Droed Gwyn and Llaw Du at the same time effectively.

Background: Born at the edge of vale in a relatively quaint family, she used to get picked on by the local kids who claimed she should act her age more. As time passed she came to find out from her mother that her father used to be of high society, and has been teaching her to be both polite and courteous despite the fact most people around no longer cared for such things. His side of the family used to enjoy a steady revenue from commercializing a special breed of oysters that lived near the shores, whose pearls contained water dust. As their wealth grew, they managed to afford defenses against aquatic grimm and explored further than other companies…unfortunately said defenses did not cover the sky, and a pack of Nevermores destroyed most of his possessions, almost as if they figured out that very weakness; he might have died that day, but a group of hunters, of which Viola's mom was part of, got there in time. When her mother finished reteling that story, she asked if they could afford to send her to a combat school. She said no…but that didn’t mean she couldn’t be privately trained. Personality: Polite to the point of absurdity. You could be her best friend and unless you tell her a couple of times, she will still call you miss or sir. Has an interest in high society and anything related to it, and hopes to one day reach a status that better fits her personality. With that said though she is surprisingly competitive and not afraid to get her hands dirty, just don’t expect her to ever say a bad word to the competition, although do expect her to rub her victories in their face…in a very polite way. Name: Victorialis; Maker/Smith: Her mom; Type: Multy Action Dust Rapier; Weapon Derivation: French Rapier, Garden sprinkler, Water fountain; Holstered/Sheathed Appearance: Single form only; Form: A rapier with a hexagon cross section. It has a spiral patern of small holes located throughout the length of the blade from the tip to the grip, as well as a hollowed center. In between the guard and the grip there is a single ball shaped compartment filled to the brim with water dust, the guard (colored green) being designed to protect the compartment, as well as the hand the hand through inner and knuckle guards that vaguely resemble the roots of a tree in terms of appearance. The pommel contains a smaller compartment of ice dust. Features/Capabilities: As you might have figured out, the holes in the sword are where the water dust comes out in its elemental form, with traces of ice dust in it supplied by the pommel. Usage: Normally just a glorified toy, in Violas hands it turns into a sharp baton, and water is her orchestra. The shape of the holes let’s her summon her water serpents near instantly, and thanks to the way her semblance works, she can use the aura in her summons to activate the ice dust at any given time for a desired effect. Notes: Notes: Name is an amalgam of Victoria + Lis (lily in French). Together they reference the Water plant with the same name.

Name: Life flow; Type: Psychic; Purpose: Utility; Short description: The ability to give purpose, and with mastery instincts, to water. Visual effect: The users hair turns white as it begins to move as if submerged in water. The water affected by the semblance has white veins within it. The number of veins is equal to the amount of aura put into it. General limitations: No H2O, no service…although you can as a last ditch effort use the water in your body, but not enemies since their aura can be used to ward off this trick. Passive ability: Able to sense nearby water sources, as well as water and ice dust. Active ability(1): Create an animated stream of water with white veins, vaguely resembles a snake. Generally used for offence, either whipping or thrusting at enemies. Dust can be used to modify its appearance and properties, but mastery let’s you boil or freeze it on command without the need of fire or ice dust. Active ability(2): Creates an animated blob of water with white veins, vaguely resembling a frog. Generally used for defense, spouting streams of water to divert attacks. Dust can be used to modify its appearance and properties, but mastery let’s you boil or freeze it on command without the need of fire or ice dust. Dust interaction (ice): Gives the snake fangs and a sharp tail in order to cut/pierce enemies, as well as freeze completely and turn into shackles; Makes the frog create ice pillars to block attacks or shoot ice spikes.

Position/Class: Summoner; Landing strategy: Make an ice slide/pillar using her summons; Fighting style: Ideally stays at midrange, where she can take advantage of an opening created by her summons, but is willing to stay out of sight and wear out tougher opponents; since she can feel her aura inside of her summons, she can generally make accurate assumption about his enemies location at all times, even if she can’t see them. Always has a water serpent coiled on the blade in order to balance out her lack of physical power.

Background: Basil was born in a small town north of Atlas, he was raised by his father, Vert Plagas, and his mother, Violet Plagas. His father taught him everything he knew about medicine and semblances. By the time he was 14 he took over his father's work as the town's only doctor. A few weeks after Basil took over his father's work the village was attacked by a roaming group of beowolves. They destroyed everything, very few of the townsfolk knew how to fight effectively and were slaughtered. Basil's mother was killed quickly, however the beowolves slashed at his father's thigh before a despatched team of huntsman brought it down. Basil thanked the huntsman and quickly checked on his father, however he realised he was bleeding out. With no medicine or bandages to help him Basil was forced to watch as his father bled out. This ignited a new hatred and passion in Basil. To hunt Grimm and anything that commits atrocities like this to the ends of the earth,he also became incredibly bitter and cold, shutting anyone out who tried to help him cope with his situation. He used his newfound strengths to help him get into the Atlas Combat Academy. Basil ,now fueled with anger and bitterness quickly advanced through the combat academy, using his new found offensive semblance to defeat most physical challenges and his intellect to breeze through tests. While he struggled with creating his weapons he eventually created an effective set of weapons after many attempts and called them "The Bone Sifters". Due to being an odd student out after Initiation at Atlas's Hunter Academy, he has been transfered to Beacon to fill a slot in team CLRT.
Personality: Cold/bitter, intelligent, sarcastic,cunning, isolates himself from allies and friends ( he will make friends but he'll usually not reveal very much to them), dignified ( doesn't mind losing or appeasing people). Name: Plague Warning User: Basil Plagas Short Description: Manipulates aura so the user emits a cloud of fog which, if it touches an enemy, will temporarily give them an affliction/disease. Visual effect: A pale green mist rolling along the ground and gradually rising as a fight continues. <semblance technicalities> Type: Aural Purpose: Offensive Range: Medium Other limitations: The mist is less effective on stronger enemies as it, at best, makes them erupt into a fit of coughing(aura strength, opponents physically strong but with a weak aura can still be badly effected), Grimm are not effected. Afflictions wear off if the opponent doesn't reenter the fog after a few minutes. The afflictions are not full diseases, merely symptoms of random diseases. Passive ability(s) (if any): User is much more resistant to disease Active ability(s) (if any): Aura gives off a disease ridden fog when in combat Dust interaction (insert dust type here): Ice-causes ice to erupt from the ground. Notes: Weaker enemies tend to get much worse afflictions such as severe arthritis or extreme depression while stronger enemies get things such as a fit of coughs or become slightly tired.

Class/Position: Rouge/DPS Landing: Strategy: User uses the sickle to hook onto any nearby surfaces to slow themselves down. If there are no nearby surfaces the user will hook onto the ground as he lands and tuck and roll. Fighting Style: Weaving in and out of combat picking off weaker enemies with his aura and sickle or waiting for an opportunity to grab and stab stronger opponents with his sickle and sword.
Species:Carrion Crow Appearance: Typical crow's apearance, black feathers and eyes with unusually sharp claws. Abilities: Able to show others a mental image of what he is currently seeing, usually assisting his owner by scouting ahead but occasionally he just does it to get students he dislikes in trouble. Accessories: Basil's symbol is stamped(dyed) onto his left wing. Behavior: Whenever he is with his owner (Basil) he will stand on their shoulder unless ordered (or thrown) off. Whenever not with his owner he will fly around looking for any trouble or anything of interest, if it's a threat to his owner (or something he wants) he will return to him and alert him. Likes: Flying, watching fights, bakeries and other food stores, Basil, night-time Dislikes: Loud sounds, planes , being in large crowds Attack(s):Pecking Additional notes: Basil never named Dolor until he had owned him for about a year, until that point he called him Bird.
First, can you specify how his aura is supposed to be unusual? Is it supposed to be unusually large? The sentence seems a bit unfinished on the character sheet.
Edit: Liking the fact that you pointed out how he has bad control with unusually large reserves.
With his fighting style, he seems to be very heavily based on a paladin type of character. With this in mind, we have a few suggestions.
For Michael, his sword, is to have it turn into a handcannon rather than an smg due to your paladin motif. A paladin is based more on slow but high damage rather than fast but low damage, so a shotgun or handcannon would fit better with this theme. Also, does he dual wield Michael and Raphael when they are both in gun form?
Edit: Wait, I see you answered that question. Okay. Cool. Do you still want to keep the SMG?
With the Semblance, we suggest either turn it into either a buff for himself and his teammates or a sort of hardlight shield, which would create a directed forcefield rather than a protective buffer. As his aura control grows, so too would his ability to protect his team mates. In the case of the visual effects; his aura control doesn't seem like it would be good enough to create complete angel wings to encompass the area. Perhaps it could start off as feathers floating around himself and his teammates and as his control gets better it forms the wing motif.
Edit: I see you updated the semblance. Makes sense, though we till think the wings might be a bit too much for his current lack of control. It might be better save for when he has better control.
Other than those few things, he's a decent character with plenty of room for character growth as the roleplay progresses. Do you have a preference for which team you'd like to go on? His initials will fit either NCTR or CLRT.
Edit: Whoops. Silver eyes in canon have been hinted as slightly important due to Ruby Rose having them. Might need to change them. Maybe you could go with a pale blue, or a glasz colour (which is a mix between blue, green and grey, and seem to change colour occasionally. It's a real thing too)
Phantom's sleeping right now. I can't talk for him, but it was my impression that this is his first time GMing. And may I point out that your IC posts only started two weeks ago? I know creating a character is hard and takes time, but this particular RP hasn't actually gone on for that long.
I will say that the reboot of this thread was not so flippant as you might think - he deliberated and we talked back and forth for almost a whole day, trying to work it so that we could continue this RP. The hard reboot was not an easy decision - and not one either of us wanted to make either. Also, you can use posts that you have already typed out for this thread - as long as they don't clash with the new information. Most of them should be right.
If you still decide you don't want to join the new thread, then I'm terribly sorry to see you go, and I'm sure Phantom will be too. If you change your mind, we'll be happy to have you.
