Phantom's sleeping right now. I can't talk for him, but it was my impression that this is his first time GMing. And may I point out that your IC posts only started two weeks ago? I know creating a character is hard and takes time, but this particular RP hasn't actually gone on for that long.

I will say that the reboot of this thread was not so flippant as you might think - he deliberated and we talked back and forth for almost a whole day, trying to work it so that we could continue this RP. The hard reboot was not an easy decision - and not one either of us wanted to make either. Also, you can use posts that you have already typed out for this thread - as long as they don't clash with the new information. Most of them should be right.

If you still decide you don't want to join the new thread, then I'm terribly sorry to see you go, and I'm sure Phantom will be too. If you change your mind, we'll be happy to have you.

I'm sorry to see you go, though I can understand your frustrations. We were hoping that the new thread would be a bit more organised as well, which might help you with writing the IC posts. If you still wish to join, you're more than welcome.

The same goes for all members of this roleplay. If you want to give the new thread a shot, we'll gladly have you, and if you decide against it, we'll be very sorry to see you go. I hope to see you guys over there :)

Eh, I think I will call it quits too. Nothing to do with the argument, although I am a little disappointed I didn't get to use my character. I have been feeling overwhelmed with all the RPs I am in and I need to downsize a bit. This is a perfect opportunity to do that.

Thanks for calling me out on my shit. I had a sleepless night, not of my choosing, followed by an incredibly rough morning, but that doesn't excuse how I acted.

I apologize for how I worded what I said Phantom, that was incredibly hypocritical of me. I stand by the overall message though, because while I can only begin to imagine the difficulties that come with being the GM for 8 people, a little more courtesy would have gone a long way. I may have missed something, but the restart seemed to have come out nowhere and sounded like we would have to start back from square one. Again, I apologize for snapping like that and I will definitely give more thought to whether I'll be joining you folks in the new thread when my brain closes the mosh pit in my head.

Eh, not surprised several people are leaving. although just so we're clear, this has nothing to do with you guys. i actually fucked up pretty severely putting things together. Last night, while trying to polish out a couple minor details, i realized that my entire basis was severely and fundamentally flawed. I didn't screen characters as well as I should have, I left too much of a gap in information by trying to be all cryptic-like, didn't check to make sure all of the players were able to post at roughly the same rate.
tl;dr: My intention with rebooting is to get things a bit more consistent and organized, and it is entirely my own fault that it's necessary. I've also employed a couple co-GM's who are a bit infinitely more sympathetic than I am when dealing with player interaction.
I honestly understand why you'd be mad at me, and don't blame you for it. I can be kind of an asshole at times, and I do get pretty damned condescending. I don't mean anything by it though, it just sort of happens.

This is not technically my first time GM-ing, but I was never very good at it, and it's been about 3 years since. which is why I'm getting a couple of people who are more patient to help me with it.
