Character Sheet template:
Tarene

Player Name:
Spud -The Kawaii Potato-
Character You Wish To Play:
Tarene, the disgraced Goddess of Thunder

Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line):
Walking the line.
Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?):
Asgardians

Character Origin & Backstory:
Tarene's parents were told by a Seer that they were going to raise a child who would become an Asgardian Goddess and travel across the realms fighting for truth and justice. In disbelief, her parents kept the message of the Seer as secret, they feared that their unborn daughter would throw herself into danger and unnecessary risks if she heard the story of the Seer. Several months later, Tarene's parents discovered they were expecting a child and finally they welcomed Tarene into the world.

For the majority of her life Tarene's upbringing was uneventful, borderline mundane, her parents disallowed her to partake in anything particularly dangerous, for fear the Seers vision would come true and she'd fall into harms way. Despite their best efforts, fate caught up with Tarene and the Seer who had warned her parents of her destiny, tracked down Tarene herself and told her, rather cryptically, that she would come to possess tremendous power and would fight great evils.

She allied herself with Thor, and despite her best efforts, she was not able to defeat Loki, Thor, who always sought to redeem Loki, refused to deliver a killing blow, or allow Tarene to deliver the killing blow. During Ragnarok, the Thor Clone attacked Tarene and she was badly wounded. Tarene was positive she'd failed her destiny and was going to perish at the hands of her greatest ally, he didn't just beat her, he absolutely destroyed her. Just before the THor Clone could deliver the final killing blow, the real Thor intervened, saving Tarene's life. She managed to escape to Vanaheimr where she spent many many years, terrified to return to Asgard after the events of Ragnarok.

Eventually Tarene dedicated herself to trying to find Thor, always believing he survived Ragnarok, perhaps tricking herself he was strong enough to face the end of days and walk away unscathed. She felt certain that Loki perished, having witnessed a fraction of the chaos he'd caused before she was able to escape. She began a journey through the 9 realms searching for Thor or clues about what happened to him, but her search for Thor was fruitless, she also heard nothing of Loki, further affirming her belief that Loki had indeed perished during Ragnarok.

Over time she began to believe that Thor too had perished and gave up her hope of finding him alive and well, it was then that she came across Thor's hammer. She decided to take the hammer, hoping it would aid her search to find answers of what happened to Thor, since her hopes of finding him alive began to diminish, but of course she had to figure out how to lift it. Having lost her powers during Ragnarok, Tarene is at a loss as to how she will pick up Mjolnir and regain her cosmic powers. Although she doubted her abilities, she attempted to lift Mjolnir regardless, in the hope that somehow her power has been restored. To her own surprise, the hammer budged slightly in her grasp. A faint glimmer of hope blossomed in her chest and with renewed vigour, she attempted to lift the hammer again and it swung up from the ground with ease in her grasp, her power once again restored.

She resumed her search to find Thor, hoping that somehow, possessing Mjolnir would aid her search. Eventually she decided to go to Midgard, not suspecting Loki to have (a) Survived Ragnarok and (b)Wind up on Midgard. She adopted the human name "Tara" as a disguise and attempted to blend into human society (and at first it failed absolutely terribly).

SEASON 1 RECAP:
With her plucky nerd sidekick, Dwight, Tarene began a search for Thor on Midgard and managed to settle in (somewhat) to Midgardian society. She was out having coffee when the Hulk began a rampage on NYC. Tarene reacted by trying to suckerpunch the green giant and alongside Miss America they managed to fight him a bit ... Till Loki appeared and Tarene went on a hellish rampage. Blinded by grief and rage Tarene resorted to criminal activities and violence to track down the elusive Asgardian, eventually crossing paths with Tony Stark and beating the snot out of him due to her dreadful impatience. Loki appeared, feeling the weight of her grief and her sins, and possibly her unworthiness, Tarene willingly dropped Mjolnir and gave herself up to SHIELD authorities, only to have a change of heart and break out in a panic.

Powers and Abilities :
She posses Mjolnir and thus inherits the power of Thor, so she can pick up and wield the legendary hammer and command thunder/lightning, rain and storms. She possesses tremendous strength and enhanced stamina and metabolism because she is an Asgardian Goddess. She heals quickly, hits hard and ages incredibly slowly and is immune to disease. She has the ability to fly, by swinging mjolnir and using the tremendous momentum to "throw" herself along with the hammer across great distances. She can use this method to travel between realms. Since Ragnarok, she has grown tremendously in terms of her power and her power is said to rival that of Odin's, perhaps she is more powerful than Odin at this point.
Tarene has stolen Sif's sword, without her trademark golden hammer, and no Mjolnir she's resorted to other tactics. She does not have thunder magic or the ability to fly, she does however have tremendous strength and a badass sword.

Sample Story Arcs:

Story Arc 1: An Enchanting Encounter: Loki claims to be a new (and honest) man, Tarene, reluctant to believe him, ends up allying herself with an unlikely partner, Amora the Enchantress. It is unknown whether this is a willing partnership, or if Amora has manipulated Tarene into mischief

Story Arc 2: On the Run: Her troubles begin to catch up with her, and as she causes more destruction to try escape the mess, someone will need to take her down.

Story Arc 3: Family Reunion: Maybe Tarene will FINALLY meet Valkyrie and be given a chance to redeem herself. Maybe she'll cross paths with Loki again or maybe ... just maybe, Thor Odinson will meet her, but how will she respond to seeing Mjolnir in someone elses hands when she liked it so much in her own? And will Thor be happy to see her after all the blood she's spilled ?

Story Arc 4: An Unlikely Ally: Tarene accepts that she's become a villain and decides to give up fighting for fear she'll be on the wrong side yet again. She returns to her humdrum life pretending to be a regular Midgardian (maybe even tries dating now THAT I'd love to see). When a massive threat rears its ugly head though, Tarene can't ignore it and like it or no, she teams up with a person/people who may not want her, but need her help.

I love you forever.

Will do cs when on computer because phones are shit sometimes
*twiddle fan girl thumbs idly*

... I notice a certain hunky super assassin isn't listed on the roster so uh ... ... I'd love Yall forever if ya let me be Bucky as the Winter Soldier (we don't need 3 Captain Americas so he'll be a villain/brainwashed)

More Tarene Chaos incoming this season :D
Woo, Tarene is wrapped up for this season now, now that she can "feel" that Mjolnir has found a new owner (The original Thor) she has to go back to basics for S.2.

She's going full villain this time. I updated the CS to include a new story arc since her old arcs are pretty much played through now, let me know if its okay or nah!

Story Arc S: Season 2, Thor without a Hammer: After losing Mjolnir, Tarene suffers an identity crisis, with Asgard gone, her past and her future is erased, and now without the hammer she has no "fresh start" to cling to. She is stuck in limbo and begins a soul search which ultimately leads her down a dark path. Unwilling to truly forgive Loki, whom she blames for destroying Asgard (which is true) she also believes he is to blame for her downfall on Midgard. Now a wanted fugitive after escaping SHIELD custody, Tarene has nothing left to lose and wants to take all she can from Loki ... starting with Midgard.

Tarene
a.k.a Hammer Girl a.k.a Thor Girl a.k.a crazy Lady Thor who lost Mjolnir

Midgardian beer was woefully weak ... at least, that was what Tarene had concluded. In truth, her body metabolised the alcohol far too quickly and nothing was strong enough to have even the faintest effect on her system. She ended up drinking double-whiskey as if it were tap water. Coulson had long since gone and she'd found herself in the company of some bikers who, with their gnarly beards and huge upper-arms, almost looked faintly like Asgardian's, even if the trick only worked when you squinted your eyes really small.

They were astounded by her ability to drink large volumes without any real effect and finally they asked for her story, those who were sober enough to hear it. It wouldn't matter what she told them anyway, they'd be too drunk to remember the following morning anyway.
Toward the end she was still trying to figure out her story ... she wasn't sure exactly. The beginning of her tale was always easy. Chosen from a young age, she set herself apart among the others in Asgard, rose through the ranks, fought alongside Sif and Thor and Fandral and Hogun and Volstag. She'd punched Loki in the face on more than one occasion and then there'd been Ragnarok ... thats where things went pear-shaped. She survived, sifting through the charred remnants of Asgard. Exploring Vanaheim, Muspleheim, Jotunheim, back to Asgard, Alfheim, back to Asgard again ... Then she'd wound up on Midgard, drawn to it somehow, and it was Mjolnir that had called her. Mjolnir had pulled her to the alien realm and whispered to her. "Lift me Tarene. Claim me and wield my power to crush those who seek to harm this realm and all others".
...

"Then suddenly a ghost from mine own past appeared ... the God of Lies, Loki, Son of Laufey of Jotunheim ... he claimed he was reformed, that he wouldst protect this realm ... but I've seen him destroy Asgard with mine own eyes, he tore the realm asunder ... he used the Bifrost to try destroy Jotunheim ... I wouldst not let him claim this realm and yet-". And yet it was the Midgardian's who claimed he was their champion and that she was their enemy.
"The blood of good men, innocent men, stains mine own hands but that is the way of war is it not? If a few thousand lives were all it took to save Asgard, wouldst I not have made that same choice again? Ist that not what the Odinson would have willed? To save Asgard- Sif and Volstagg, Hogun, Fandral, Odin, Thor- All of them."

Loki couldn't truly be reformed ... could he? What if Midgard was his? His kingdom? And it was the Midgardian's who had aided him in destroying Asgard? Suddenly her head ached, and it wasn't from the alcohol, not entirely, though it was finally kicking in, making her pleasantly tipsy.
"Thine beer is more like the piss of a Bilgesnipe, yellow and stinking" she complained, it was far easier to hate the Midgardian piss-beer than it was figuring out what Loki was now. Was he true or was this another one of his many, many lies and crimes?

Suddenly a pain shot through her, lancing through her chest like a bolt of lightning and it felt like it was tearing pieces away, ripping out important cells and scratching on her ribs as it clawed its way out. A caged animal ripping itself out of her. She shrieked and blacked out from the pain but for a brief moment, before she lost consciousness, she knew she'd lost something far more important that her senses.

She'd lost Mjolnir.

We are about ready to start Season 2. We are just waiting on a few people to wrap up the Avengers story arc.

Okay lemme know where Tarene can jump back in :D With no Asgard left and no honour it could be a great time for her to go full renegade for some Thor+Loki VERSUS Tarene action!!!

Yo @Henwen you still here bro?
@Spud

At the moment, Loki appears to have become one of the recruiting faces for the Avengers program; It makes sense, since he has a much easier time getting around without drawing attention to himself while also being a bit more of a people person then Captain America...

He also needs to have a friendly chat with a certain US general.

Sounds like a great reason for some
