Thank you, thank you. So I'm going to go do human things. Ew. I'll be back in a few hours probably and we can hit up TitanPad if you want @Scarifar
Oh snap son it's about to go down.
Korbin and Alice Okiyama were sitting side by side at the long table, finally together again. They were making small talk after a year apart, Alice taking the lead in the conversation and Korbin more or less listening, contributing with a comment every now and then. Both were eating light breakfasts, with small portions of bacon, eggs, and pancakes to fill just a little of their plate. Michael, Lightsworn Lord was standing behind Alice, peering around the table at the monsters behind each duelist. Alice was a little uneasy about all of the monster holograms, as she had never seen anything like it. "How do you think The Khan managed to do that?" She asked Korbin. She didn't wait to answer and continued to tell him about school and things. Korbin meanwhile was looking around the table, sizing up his opponents like Michael was. Cyber Twin Dragon had it's body wrapped around Korbin, with it's head split and hovering above his shoulders. He was scanning the table too. Alright, Korbin thought. I'm done eating. We came here to duel, didn't we? What are we doing sitting around? The left head of Cyber Twin Dragon made a quiet hissing sound, and Korbin looked to where it's head was pointed. A duelist had been looking at him, one that Korbin knew of: Press Dalton, known as the Cyborg Duelist. Korbin's eyes met his, and his hand started to finger the controls of the Duel Disk attached firmly to his arm. Along with himself and perhaps the Khan, Press was one of the best duelists here. He took a glance around the table before standing up. "Alice, you're a polite person. Would it be good table manners to play card games while eating?" Cyber Twin Dragon unwrapped itself from Korbin's body and stretched to it's full length to face Press's hologram monster from across the table, Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer. "Well, if you're eating it's better to..." Alice tried to answer, looking over to Press and sighed. "Korbin, you're going to be careless and lose this tournament the first day. Why don't you relax and try to enjoy yourself?" Korbin shook his head and activated his Duel Disk. "I came to duel," he said curtly to his sister. "Press, are you just going to stare, or do you want to give these people a show?" He projected his voice across the table.
Can we IC?
Korbin Okiyama
Gender - Male Age - 19 Appearance - "Hmph." Personality – Korbin is a bit of an ass. He isn’t ever truly nice to anyone except for his sister. Korbin is extremely loyal to his sister, Alice, and would do anything for her, including being nicer to people on her behalf. Of course, he’s not the best at it when he tries. When dueling, he’s a cocky, yet effective player who aims to end duels quickly and painfully for his opponent. He wants one thing and one thing only: To win. He takes losses exceptionally hard, and will usually lock himself away in a room by himself until tomorrow. Bio – Korbin is a world-class duelist who is known for his cocky attitude and fast-paced play style. Nobody really enjoys his company, or to duel him, since he’s not a fun person to win or lose against. As a competitive duelist, Korbin is one of the best there is. His record is spotless, with very few losses and more wins than any duelist could dream of. Before Battle City, he would travel the world, making a living off of huge tournaments. Earlier in his career, him and his sister Alice would attend tournaments together, with the both of them usually meeting in final rounds. Alice then quit her dueling career after Korbin’s attitude attracted bad attention. Korbin knew about Battle City for a year before it was announced. About a year before The Khan broadcasted the 100th Anniversary to the world, he had curled up in a hotel room, living a meager life in a hotel in Europe, crafting decks to use for the upcoming event. Day in and day out, research and deck building, working a meager job and eating way less than a normal person should. Then, the white cards were announced. Korbin rushed to card stores near and far, buying packs from each one. In that period of time, he managed to pull not one, but two white cards for the Battle City tournament. Just like he planned. He sent to her sister a deck, a brand new duel disk, a small note, and the ticket he had received for Shambala. He then packed a small bag and headed to the nearest airport.
Favorite Card – Cyber Twin Dragon
*innocent eyeroll* Well I wouldn't know, @Scarifar... I've NEVER used THAT name before...
Alice Okiyama
Gender - Female Age - 17 Appearance - "Haaai~." Personality - Alice is a very polite and composed girl who's heart burns with a fiery passion for dueling and people. She hides this passion, however, due to a problem in her heart that can't keep up with her bursts of excitement. So she tries to hide it, and on more than one occasions has passed out due to over excitement, which she is very susceptible to. Around people she knows, she can be a little more open, but will usually prefer to listen to other people talk rather than talk herself. Bio - Alice is the sister of the world famous duelist Korbin Okiyama. Korbin's dueling style is aggressive and fearless, and his attitude is just as so. He's confident in his skill, and will sometimes tell his opponents that they need work, usually in a rude fashion. He takes his losses pretty hard. His dueling record is near spotless, however, and duelist's everywhere still regard him as a legend, no matter how much of a jerk he is. Alice was once a fantastic duelist as well, but the negative press she received from her brother's somewhat controversial attitude as a duelist caused her to focus on other things, namely school. Korbin and Alice were fantastic friends, keeping in touch always while Korbin traveled the world, winning tournament after tournament. He made many attempts to try and get Alice back in to Duel Monsters, but she always declined. About a year before the Battle City tournament was announced, Alice got a call from Korbin. He said to her, "big tournament coming up. I'm going to hunker down for a little bit. Don't call, don't tell anyone where I am. You'll be getting a letter soon." He hung up and didn't call for a year. Battle City was announced by The Khan, a year later. 16 packs, at all corners of the world, waiting to be found. This must be the tournament that Korbin was talking about. Alice thought nothing of it, until a curt letter came in to the mail from her brother. It read, "If you'd like to come see me, then I'll be here." On the back of the note was a plane ticket to Regno Ricco. A package was also sent to her, holding a deck composed just for her, and a sparkly new Duel Disk. After a year without speaking to her loved brother, she couldn't resist the opportunity, even if it meant dueling again. Her bags were packed immediately.
Favorite Card – Michael, Lightsworn Lord
