Blizzard Entertainment supports the tyrannical government of China. Blizzard Entertainment ends the careers of those who dare dissent against their chinese overlords. And they're not the only ones...

In other news, Republicans in Oregon have laid siege to the state capital, shutting down the democratic process. They have the support of right-wing militia groups who have shot at police before.

Bio

I've been on and off this website for six years now. Right now I've only barely got time for one RP, and even then I mess that up. Trying to be more consistent and online more often, because I really do enjoy online roleplaying. Hopefully, one day I'll be able to write as much as I used too. Until then, I shall brood gloomily in the shadows.

Life goes on! Hobbies change and so do schedules. I hate ghosts, so I'm trying to put myself to rest as best I can with a status and bio officially marking my departure. If I'm going to do any writing, it's going to be working on that book I always wanted to finish.

I actually have a question, now that I think of it. If a player dies, will they be able to create a new one? I assume so if you are hunting K9, but if you are apart of K9, will you able to create a new character on the opposite team? (Or maybe a K9 wannabe who wants to join?)
@BlackRose24
questions are fine
questions are good

nooo problemo
@Doc Doctor
lol
just noticed your avatar is Sea Nanners

shout out to Sea Nanners, I guess

[@SeaNanners]
@Twilights Curse sweet, thanks

@Illogical Jim Not particularly, but your character could have pulled some strings to get on board.

EDIT: And by "pulling some strings" I mean having a sentence written into your bio that says you had some contacts on the administration of the ship.

@BlackRose24 I'd prefer 5 people, but I can start sooner. People could join later if they wanted too, and I'd find a way to get them in. There's way more than just one group of cryo people on the ship. :P
i'm hype for the murder-fest

Turk emerged from the beach, soaking wet. There was a live fish clamped in his jaw, and two in his hands, all still thrashing.

"Go' 'ish" He said through the creature. He tossed the fish casually onto the sand. He also noted a crate of rice. While he personally wouldn't be eating it, he was glad to see that everyone else could be sorted out, at least for now.

"I need to make a spear or somefin' if I really wanna catch fish," Turk said to no one in particular. He made a gesture as if he were stabbing something with an invisible spear.

The catches were the trout fish Turk had saw earlier. They were a pale green color with surprisingly large eyes. Transparent fins flanked their left and right sides, as well as ran along the bottom and top of their bottoms. They had gone still now, suffocated to death, their mouths that had jaws lined with small, sharp teeth had stopped sucking in air.

Turk stopped stabbing the invisible thing in front of him and placed his hands on his hips, looking proudly upon his catch.

"I can prolly check to see if their poisonous. Gut 'em, check for glands. I doubt it, though. Looks good to eat, if ya ask me."

@BlackRose24
You'd be invited based on your skills and usefulness in an alien environment. So while capable people are invited onto the craft, their children would be more rigorously trained and educated. People who are invited to cryo-sleep were deemed too valuable to be "wasted" on taking care of the craft and the first generation.

EDIT: In other words, your character has to particularly excel in a skill-set that is applicable to the situation you were supposed to be in. Botanists, doctors, engineers, and a few (FEW)"soldiers".
@BlackRose24
Actually, yeah-
18 to 35.
I'd like to join! For sure

I've never been in an RP where people like actually literally die.
I just had an idea

Okay, so, for the first time in history, mankind is going to leave the solar system for new lands. It's a huge giant ass colony ship. With around three million people on it. Earth is a bit of a mess, but that's backdrop to the story.

Our cast of characters are special, though, among everyone else who boards the ship. The roleplayers are put into cryo-sleep. The journey would take a generation, so everyone else is expected to have children.

So the cryo-sleep people are put under. Mysterious circumstances arise, the cryo-sleep people wake up to find the ship a mess and nobody is around. Something terrible happened on the ship and the players must investigate what happened and try to survive the ruins of a dead space craft.

One of the key elements to survival I imagine being in there is surviving the cold. Space is cold. And since the players start off with no actual clothing on because of cryo-sleep, it'll be harder to survive. Food or water won't be a problem because I intend to have the players find a big stash of space-food early on because nobody really likes to look for cans of beans.

The thing is, is that whatever mysterious event happened on the ship that apparently wiped everyone out, happened almost just as they were about to reach the planet because, as space travel goes, it's not that far away.

the people in cryo-sleep are all young, because I don't think people would invest in expensive cryo equipment to bring along a person in mid-life; considering the idea is that these young cryo-sleep people will live a long life on the planet they are going too.

So yeah.
First scene: Going into cryo-sleep
Second scene: Literal instant transition to hell because that's how sleeping actually works.

Anyone interested?
